Thanks so much @Ourlady for the Aldi squishees, my son wants an XL one and I didn’t want to part with the £50 so an Aldi one will be much better. I’m hoping to get Walter!

@Christmasiscominghohoho 14 is pretty large! Mine is 22 which I think is a huge order

Maybe that shows I order too much that I think 14 items isn’t that big 😅

Glitterandmud · 02/09/2022 20:04

Has anyone heard of / tried the Mural Mosaics Global Roots project, You buy a "tile" and they send you the materials and colours to use, then you send an image of your artwork to them and it goes on the mosaic, which presumably you can see somewhere! Was thinking of getting for my dn who loves art. There is a flash sale on this weekend with code FLASH25

I got a 2 pairs, bright pink and puce. Not my colours at all

Mine are dark cranberry and navy. Lovely and can't find a single flaw in either pair. Wouldnt mind doing a swap if anyone would prefer the navy?

EverydayIsPJday · 02/09/2022 20:29

Would anyone be able to recommend a good book light please? I've tried a few in the past but they're usually far too bright or are a pain to clip on and turn pages. I'm hoping someone has a good recommendation 🙂 thanks

But they're small and slender - fine for my hands and wrists but would be hopeless for bigger folk.

newroundhere · 02/09/2022 20:39

On my quest for picnic blankets I came across the Cath Kidston sale - there's an extra 10% off some summer stuff

As well as a picnic blanket there are various water bottles at £7.20, some nice bags and, inexplicably, a whole range of things with lobsters on

Ideal if you have a lobster lover in the family 😂

I've got one of these amzn.eu/64aNC0s you can have 3 levels of brightness

Disney Princess Shimmer dolls are currently £6 on Amazon. Rapunzel, Belle and Arial.

They're currently £11 or 2 for £20 at Argos, so quite a good saving.

Haudyourwheesht · 02/09/2022 20:44

Ordered this doll from JL for DD. Its half price in case anyone's DDs are into weird lifelike dolls.

Has a yine come across any bargain action figures please? I'm thinking same size as barbie but a batman or spiderman or superman? Son has just started playing with them at a friend's house so would like to get some for Xmas.

Or even police/fire man figures? He's very into his hot wheels police car chasing "after the thief, go to jail!" 😂

I'd buy secondhand ones then clothes for them from AliExpress. That way you can have a real variety of figures

LemonFrosting · 02/09/2022 21:33

I've just thought I'll see if Action Man comes as a police man or fireman......he's discontinued!!!!!! 😱can't seem to find any kind of current replacement for him!

IggyAce · 02/09/2022 21:38

@LemonFrosting lego city have a good range of police & fire sets they often do some in the easy builder range, which is suitable for age 4+

Thank you for this! I've got a couple of lego City sets stashed away!
He's got playmobil fire and police which he loves! He's getting the ambulance for Xmas too.
I'm after larger figures, like Barbie but a police and/or fire version. I've looked but the barbie boys don't come as police/fire and the barbie girls the uniforms look naff.

I am on the hunt for 350 gifts for children aged 4-11 for less than 50p each (preferably a lot less). In the past we've done xmas pencils, bouncy balls and xmas gliders. I'd love something a little less 'tat' this year! Can't be from wish etc as needs to be 'safe' (to be handed out in school). Could be spilt between ages, so 4-7 & 8-11. Would really appreciate a tip-off if anyone sees anything suitable. Thanks 😊

Freemc2 · 02/09/2022 21:55

Ohhdeer has a sale, might be good for stocking fillers. They also have a papergang mystery box at £5 (plus postage). ohhdeer.com/products/papergang-mystery-box

Mine love a keyring for their bags! Could do a class photo or maybe print a selection of inspirational quotes, silly jokes or some popular characters/game themes to put into those make your own keyrings. You must be able to buy in bulk!

Stickers are always a winner! Little ones love them on themselves and big ones for their phone/tablet cases!

Tattoos? Fun at all ages!

Failing that chocolate! All children love edible gifts! And the few dairy/nut free ones wouldn't be too bad as the bulk can be bought v cheaply (maybe even some donations/hefty discount if you spoke to local supermarkets!)

Asos seem to have a code floating round constantly. Latest code is NEWNEW according to the app home page.

Haudyourwheesht · 02/09/2022 22:11

Aye, sign up for ASOS emails, they've 20% off at some point most weeks. Often only from 7-9 pm but still pretty regularly.
