@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile Kidsstuffforless have a bulk buy section, lots of things on there that work out at under 50p each.

The keyring idea mentioned sounds good though - you can get a pack of 12 make your own key rings in The Works for £3.

I am on the hunt for 350 gifts for children aged 4-11 for less than 50p each (preferably a lot less). In the past we've done xmas pencils, bouncy balls and xmas gliders. I'd love something a little less 'tat' this year! Can't be from wish etc as needs to be 'safe' (to be handed out in school). Could be spilt between ages, so 4-7 & 8-11. Would really appreciate a tip-off if anyone sees anything suitable. Thanks 😊

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile Have you looked at Baker Ross? They sell class packs of things or bundles of 10 etc so can work out cheaper. Not sure of the quality but came across them when looking for party bag fillers. Guess you could buy 1 pack first to assess. They have things like colour your own Christmas badge kits and Christmas colouring books.

Also Rex London have good sales often but not sure you'd get anything in the quantity you need.

woodwaj · 02/09/2022 22:43

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile poundtoy have code bogof at the moment and it says its valid on most things. I tested it on 40p packs of "sno" which I think is a great activity for all ages and it worked! Might be worth a look through their website!

Just joining the threads for this year. Have an 8 year old boy to buy for, he loves Minecraft and Doctor Who if anybody sees anything on their travels.

what is the thrift offer everybody seems to have indulged in? Major FOMO

Can people post the colours they get from the eBay turtle dove site if possible and if you have time.

Im wondering what kind of colours people receive. 😊

I got black, dark brown and a pale lilac. The black and brown ones came with little star stickers on them which flagged where the fault was (a small hole in both cases). The lilac ones, there was no sticker and I can’t see a flaw at all.

shash1982 · 03/09/2022 00:04

Thank you @LemonFrosting @Haudyourwheesht that's great 😊

psuedocream3 · 03/09/2022 05:25

@shash1982 They seem to do their sales every 3-4 weeks, if you don't mind waiting for a sale on the whole site then I would hold off as the discount codes stack on top of the sales.

@Coldilox Two of mine are Minecraft mad, that's pretty much all they have asked for besides some other gamer merch. The Amazon £10 off a £25 spend on first app orders is still valid until the 5th September, new accounts get that discount too so you could sign up again and get it. The £5 off a £15 spend is most existing accounts, and the £7 off a £20 spend on first amazon locker deliverd orders is selected accounts. I've saved a fortune on Minecraft stuff with it. Also worth a look on places like ebay/vinted/facebook marketplace etc as you may find new items cheap or as good as new withut tags. I bought six minecraft plushes like new no tags for £12 yesterday.

pack of 12 tattoos each?

Snowdropsarelovely · 03/09/2022 07:45

Have I missed out on the turtledoves offers? Looked a few days ago and they were cheaper, but they seem to be back up to full price now? Does anybody know if they regularly discount? They would be good gifts for elderly relatives with arthritic hands

@IggyAce can you tell me the use by date on the cinnamon buns if you bought them please.

I'm not sure if you got a reply but the date on mine is 30/06/23.

just seen this for ESPA diffuser for £37!! The pod on its own is £85 on lookfantastic so this is a good deal as it comes with 2 oils

cymrumam · 03/09/2022 08:38

@IfyoushouldmeetaCrocodile Baker Ross quality is good in my experience and you can buy in bulk. Sign up to newsletter and they send codes out fairly regularly.

MadeForThis · 03/09/2022 08:42

Has anyone recently used the £10 of £25 offer on Amazon?

I set up an account for my DH and it said the offer was eligible. But it wouldn't apply at checkout. Amazon said that the 5000 available must have been reached.

This was last Sunday.

EverydayIsPJday · 03/09/2022 08:45

@MadeForThis I had a £7 off £20 offered at the same time. I used it yesterday afternoon OK. It's a massive pain finding things sold and dispatched by Amazon though

Katinkak8 · 03/09/2022 08:51

@MadeForThis I ordered on 31st August and received the £10 off. Sorry if I'm being obvious, but did you use the app?

Cuwins · 03/09/2022 08:52

If anyone is looking for a switch then the 'neon' one on amazon is showing on camelcamelcamel as a good deal at £229. I don't know anything about them so can't judge for myself if it is but thought I would share

psuedocream3 · 03/09/2022 09:03

@MadeForThis the £10 off £25 on first app orders works fine still. It wont work on certain things likes books in the 2 for £7 offer as it wont stack, but generally works on most things from Amazon as the seller. It is only first app orders. If you are struggling, set up a new account with a new email?

MadeForThis · 03/09/2022 09:22

Definitely all Amazon products. But it did include the 2 for £7 offer.

Good news tho as I can try again!!

Thanks everyone

10% off this weekend at Present Indicative (good for geeky gifts) with code DECADEDISCOUNT

17caterpillars1mouse · 03/09/2022 09:43

@LemonFrosting firefighter Ken was around in 2020 so you may be able to find one second hand. I think he was a black Ken doll. Otherwise action men on eBay. My nephew often plays with my husband's old action men at mils and loves them

psuedocream3 · 03/09/2022 09:45

Just checked my Bargainmax order, they've sent the wrong Harumika sets, make sure you check your orders.

How about some seeds?

CavernousScream · 03/09/2022 09:56

My Turtle Doves from eBay arrived. Luckily they were a spare pair for me as they’re not suitable for a gift - they have a hole in them. It was marked with a sticker and is fairly small, but personally I think a hole makes something completely unsaleable, not seconds quality.
