Don't suppose any one has come across any Stranger Things themed bargains?

HedgerowRobin · 28/08/2022 16:00

@TheBigFish I also ordered from the original party bag company on 21st - got an immediate dispatch email which is obviously not accurate and still no sign of a delivery here either!

TheBigFish · 28/08/2022 16:01

@HedgerowRobin yes I got the immediate dispatch email too!

Sheknowtheyrhinestones · 28/08/2022 16:14

Some here, ordered on the 21st and got an instant dispatch but no delivery yet

Yes!
‘Ali Express’ is your friend here. I got my DD some really good quality enamel pin badges for under a pound!!!! They’re all stashed away so can’t remember all of them, but definitely got a ‘Hellfire Club’ one and ‘friends don’t lie’.
I saw lots of clothing too but had already bought her two tops from Truffle Shuffle

Irritatedmum · 28/08/2022 16:48

@LeatherJacketWedding whats Ali express like? I’ve never worked up the courage to actually order from there

My daughters stranger things mad.
We are actually going to London to the experience they have there next weekend 😂

Lego have their stranger things brick heads back in stock now.
and Iv also bought some stuff from Ali express. It was for my daughters birthday in July so il dig out the picture.

We also got this picture from Amazon and I framed it for her birthday too.

It’s fine.
Iv ordered over 200 things from there and never had any real issues.
Quality of clothing isn’t great when you are paying a few £ but that’s to be expected.

I’ve looked at the Lego on there, it’s cheap and some unusual sets, but my husband thinks it’s risky to but from there?

Brogues · 28/08/2022 17:31

@Irritatedmum I’ve bought some little Lego type houses from aliexpress and they are gorgeous. The bricks are slightly smaller and the instructions not quite Lego standard but if you are buying for an older teen or adult they are good (mine were for me).

Thanks for all the great Stranger things ideas, I'm off to have a look now!

All the Lego from Ali express is fake. It’s all Chinese copies.

Christmasiscominghohoho · 28/08/2022 18:31

But aslong as you aren’t giving it to a toddler that will put it in its mouth then it’s brilliant for the price.
Iv never bought lego from there, normally kawaii stuff such as pens etc for my daughter.
teddies, pjs, figures etc.

Yalz · 28/08/2022 18:48

A suggestion for a stocking filler, if you think we’ll be wearing masks again/still be wearing masks by then. Or buy them for yourself now.

My local M&S had loads of these, several different packs, anti-bacterial means has silver nitrate in them. 5 cloth masks for 99p, reduced from £9:50.

I think Ali express is fine for badges, trinkets etc but I wouldn’t buy anything ‘branded’ as it’s all fake so Lego, Nike, mulberry etc

Willow4987 · 28/08/2022 19:20

Where is everyone getting their fake oodies from? With heating prices this year thinking we might all need them 😂

Motherofalegend · 28/08/2022 19:24

@Willow4987 a few of us have bought hooded blankets from 5poundstuff. Basically they buy in bulk and it’s pot luck what you get - some have had Oodies, Kidd.ly and Primark (which wasn’t well received!). They work out about £13 each and then delivery.

Malleus123 · 28/08/2022 19:26

Does anyone know, if the silk pillow cases are good for skin ? Ds 14 has bad acne at moment and we are struggling with it . Seen them mentioned on threads before and just wondered if they are any good

Pixie2015 · 28/08/2022 19:29

DS with SEN loves bubbles and currently lots of hamleys bubble products on sale - also got some bits for older child so over £40 postage was free and saved 10% with code new10

For anyone who missed the Turtle doves £10 offer (as I did) for the fingerless gloves which are back up to £18. The lucky dip / seconds are also showing out of stock.

I found their outlet store on ebay. £7.99 for a pair of almost perfect seconds (100% cashmere fingerless gloves) with free postage. However, if you buy three pairs or more they are only £6.79. I'm happy to be the experiment here as I've just ordered three pairs. (So £20 ish in total) Will report back once received. My estimated delivery date is 2nd Sept.

Willow4987 · 28/08/2022 19:39

@RainbowZebraWarrior oooo thanks! If they look good can you post the link to the eBay shop?

MerylSqueak · 28/08/2022 19:50

DD just bought herself three Stranger Things posters from Grindstore. All three together with postage was £15. I was expecting them to be crap quality but they're actually good - although HUGE . The website gets good reviews on trustpilot and they arrived pretty quickly.

Will do, Willow. Fingers crossed!

Soscrewed · 28/08/2022 20:20

@Pixie2015 have you tried Dr Ziggs bubbles with your bubble loving child? They are cool giant bubbles. I've got them before from babipur (someone else will know the current 10% off I'm sure). They are eco friendly too.
