Ooh thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior , would you be able to please post now? that sounds great for DDs. We are going to need the warmth aren't we!

@Pixie2015 have you tried Dr Ziggs bubbles with your bubble loving child? They are cool giant bubbles. I've got them before from babipur (someone else will know the current 10% off I'm sure). They are eco friendly too.

I will take a look thank you

woodwaj · 28/08/2022 21:27

@RainbowZebraWarrior thanks for the turtle doves tip. For that price I couldn't not try them out! Reviews are great too.

For anyone thinking about it, it did say low in stock when I ordered a minute ago although I'm sure they re add all the time

Blixem · 28/08/2022 21:34

I finally got some turtle dove gloves from ebay. I live on the IOM and if I ordered from the website they were charging £12 delivery!

Reastie · 28/08/2022 21:46

Thanks for cashmere reminder 😀

Sour Cherry have a £6 sale on today - cute but fairly niche jewellery

www.sourcherry.co.uk/collections/6-saturday?mc_cid=8faa244856&mc_eid=4175964d56

Thanks. I ordered 4 things for my Dd14.

Unihorn · 28/08/2022 22:42

BargainMax has been good for me; got a scooter for £30 and some science/craft sets for birthdays coming up. The MC2 science kit was a particularly good find for £7.50. I've ordered from them a fair few times in the past and they've always been great.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 28/08/2022 23:15

@RainbowZebraWarrior hoping that the Turtle Doves gloves are a bargain, I could really do with some but can't afford the full price ones Sad

@Limesarebitter @Christmasiscominghohoho @MerylSqueak Character.com have Stranger Things t shirts, they have 10% off when you sign up to the newsletter or often have sales on too!

Terfydactyl · 28/08/2022 23:33

Blade and Rose have 3 for £10 on a fair few styles right now :) It's in the sale section of their website x

Oooh had a quick look and theres some stuff I want for a grandchild.
So thank you, I'd never heard of them.

On a different thing entirely
I have a friend I always buy wine for, but I either need a new way of presenting the wine or a whole new present. She is well and proper into crafty stuff. She sews A LOT, cushions and bags and cross stitching and on.
So maybe fat quarters? A cross stitch kit? I dunno, I'm far from crafty. So any cheap ideas welcome, her wine normally costs a tenner, and the presentation another fiver, so no more than £15.
Or maybe a different way of giving wine? Its tried and tested after all.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 29/08/2022 00:03

I recieved my originalpartybag order however was missing 11 items and had 1 damaged item. Gutted as it was all the schleich animals that weren't there and the main reason I placed the order.

For stranger things gifts Asda has posters in store 2 for £5. When I looked the other day there was several different ones. (My daughter bought jurassic world and Arianna Grande!) Also try etsy, lots on there!

Also as an alternative to Ali express try wish too. I bought loads from there and they are pretty good at refunding if it isn't up to scratch or doesnt arrive.

Has anyone seen a discount code for build a bear or on jurassic world lego please ?

Yalz · 29/08/2022 00:04

Thank you from me, too, @RainbowZebraWarrior for the Turtle Doves ebay tip. I don’t mind seconds at all and I can’t believe the price when the full price on the website is £29, or £20.30 with the discount.

If you buy 4+ pairs the eBay seconds are only £6.39 each.

BuffyFairy · 29/08/2022 00:27

@Gooseysgirl thank you for the Dunnes link. I wouldn’t have thought of there.

Buddy should work for 10% off at Babipur.

For your crafty friend, I’m sure it was this thread that mentioned Corinne Lapierre for gorgeous embroidery inspo; how about one of her books, like the Felt birds or Felt animal families
bit niche, so maybe not what you had in mind :-) I did check her website and the Mini kits might come within your budget, but don’t think you could call them a bargain 😅(although I think I saw 15% off if you sign up for the newsletter)

TheBatwoman · 29/08/2022 05:56

My First Years have a bank holiday sale with some lovely wooden toys if anyone is buying for little ones.

sorryiasked · 29/08/2022 06:42

I need some new places to buy calendars from, have exhausted all the usual ones.
Need to be unusual/quirky as we have an ongoing tradition with friends of trying to find the oddest one!

Greenstar22 · 29/08/2022 06:52

@Limesarebitter Zavvi have lots of stranger things stuff they regularly have offers on

peasando · 29/08/2022 07:06

Thanks for the Turtle Doves eBay tip, I've been um-ing and ah-ing about them for the last few years of these threads but at that price I've just taken the plunge. Fingers crossed - if they don't work out as gifts they'll be fine for me trying to keep warm while working from home!

Pottytrainhelp · 29/08/2022 07:45

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts build a bear have a sale on now. I managed to get 2 of the smaller bears for £5 each!

EverydayIsPJday · 29/08/2022 07:48

Just to note the eBay listing says that those gloves don't come with the turtle doves branded label on them (the little purple tag on the wrist). Not sure if that's important to people that intend to gift them.

Givealittlebit · 29/08/2022 07:56

@Malleus123 silk pillow cases are meant to be perfect for acne, my friend swears by hers as they don't hold so much bacteria because it's smooth and more breathable I think

Givealittlebit · 29/08/2022 07:58

EBay Tuttle doves seconds are all sold out!

Haudyourwheesht · 29/08/2022 07:59

There's a big sale on the Tartan weaving mill site. https://www.thetartanweavingmill.co.uk/collections/sale/agekids-adult?sortt_by=best-selling

Christmas socks for £1 and the like.

This is good to know! I've got three pairs I bought direct from Turtle Doves earlier in the year when there was a sale. I'm wanting to keep a pair for me but I'll keep an eye out on ebay on future for me!
