@NoDairyNoProblem

Apologies for the crap picture - don't want to unwrap its very sturdy packaging for fear I'll break something and then no gift...

Full bottle of a Singapore dry gin, two bottles of nice looking tonic, some complementary bits of pomelo and pink pepper to drop in the drink, a tiny bottle of Angoustura bitters, small
Bottle of gin liqueur, two packs of snacks.

Not in image but also in box, can of rose blush magners cider (claimed by DH), a can of wonky fruit pressé (claimed by me) and a bar of Butlers truffle chocolate (claimed between us)!

Ah ok, so this is one of last years boxes which explains the short dates on the snacks. They must have had a batch of leftovers so clever idea to get rid at a minimal price and sign people up. That gin is lovely though and a massive bargain at 9.95. I dont feel as guilty for using DH Email and cancelling now though 😊

Calendar Club has a few nice and cheap things in their sale. Books and socks which could make nice stocking fillers

www.calendarclub.co.uk/sale/

Oooh thanks for this. Sorted my difficult uncle and got a few stocking fillers

Wowimfinallyhere · 28/08/2022 09:14

@Mrsfussypants1 I ordered the £50 one on Saturday and have used both absolutely fine. Was buying the kids school shoes anyway so ended up with £25 extra to spend which is an absolute bonus. You need to spend the bonus voucher by end of September so use that one first. You can use more than one too. Just be aware I had to log in via a laptop yo pay by voucher as it doesn't show on the mobile site. Well worth doing for things you were going to buy anyway.

butterflymum · 28/08/2022 09:21

@Reastie as NoDairyNoProblem said, it was likely Turtle Doves. The offer is explained at Cashmere Jumper to Gloves

Mrsfussypants1 · 28/08/2022 09:37

@Wowimfinallyhere ah that's good to hear. I know that last time quite a few had issues with the balance showing zero online and in store and Groupon weren't helpful so I was a bit cautious with this deal.

Purpleheadgirl · 28/08/2022 09:39

@Mrsfussypants1 Yes, re the above, think terms state something about logging on to register the extra card first as more of a voucher I guess than a strict gift card

Mrsfussypants1 · 28/08/2022 09:45

@Wowimfinallyhere thank you 😊 I'm going to go for it and log on via desk top to use it.

Who normally fills the old threads? There are still people posting on thread one.

Gruffalo and Friends advent calendar is available for preorder at £10.99 on Amazon, it has 24 mini books based on the Julia Donaldson characters each with activities in. Suggested age is 3-7. Sorry can’t link but if you search ‘gruffalo advent’ it’s the first one. Looks fab for any Julia Donaldson fans!

We had this last year, DS 4 loved it

Icantfindanewname · 28/08/2022 10:55

To add to the free (if you pay delivery) offer at gruum, I managed to add a fräsa Pumpkin Bath Fizzers for free with code SPOOKY21. I just put the code in at checkout and it automatically added the item. Not very festive, but a nice extra 🦇

Piccalino3 · 28/08/2022 06:49

@Gooseysgirl I'm looking at the reindeer hooded blanket - what age for you think they could wear them from? I have a 3, 5 and 8 year old. I'm thinking of the complaining and fighting if it would work for the eldest but not the others! They're so cute and my kids love cozy things.

@Piccalino3 I can't see reindeer ones on the Dunnes site. The ones I have linked to are fine on my kids both 130cm tall (age 8.5 and 10.5). I think age 3 might be pushing it depending on how tall they are...

Pumpkintopf · 28/08/2022 11:57

Hi all, lovely to be back on these threads!

Those of you who have experience of the sienna hoodies we all bought a couple of years back, and the oodies/kuddly - are the branded ones worth the extra £? I bought the kids sienna hoodies but wondering if it's worth trading up this year particularly given the energy price rises! Thanks

CookieCoo · 28/08/2022 11:58

Thanks @psuedocream3 for the Dino dig link. Ordered for my DCs’ stockings 😊

MrsChristmashohoho · 28/08/2022 12:53

Dunelm hoodies... would the medium size be too small for a slim 11 year old? I think adult would be huge, but not sure about a medium childrens? Child is in 11-12 clothes.

Smileatthesmallthings · 28/08/2022 13:14

Well, my bargain boggle just got delivered.... Only it was actually an empty Amazon envelope 😂

Mrsfussypants1 · 28/08/2022 13:32

@MrsChristmashohoho dunelm hoodie small (5-6 yrs) medium (7-10 years). You may need an adult, it may be worth having a look in your nearest Dunelm at them (our local one they're on display everywhere along with a whole shop of fleece everything!)

Oh yes thanks for pointing out people are still using the old thread, I've reposted the link to here and started filling it up but Mumsnet now says I've posted too much so if someone else could finish filling it up that would be appreciated!

Some good buys in Aldi today
Colour in veg shop £2.49
Ant farm £7.99....my DD would love this but I can't bring myself to buy it. Don't warn escapee antz in my house
The kids adventure tent set which I think has been mentioned before was in store too.

cymrumam · 28/08/2022 14:18

Virgin experience days currently 20% off code is on the site. I used it for activities that we were planning on doing saved quite a bit compared to buying direct

Oh no! My one arrived fine yesterday.

TheBigFish · 28/08/2022 15:25

Ordered 3 sets of harumika. 1 definitely for dd8 and 1 for friend's daughter. Not sure about third yet. Never heard of it before but it looks lovely. £13 something delivered with the sale and extra 25%. Feeling pleased with how Christmas shopping is ticking along. Although I ordered from partybagcompany on 21st and no delivery. Anyone else waiting so long? Not sure whether too contact them yet.
