I haven’t seen a thread yet and it’s becoming somewhat of a tradition to be nosey and look in MNetters Xmas fridges.

Here’s mine, booze is in the garage!

Mine doesn't look as near as full or exciting but it's organised and beautiful 🤣 my snack cupboard is better!

Have a space beside the 2 boxes of tonic to add beers tomorrow!

@Benjispruce5 yes they're juice Blush

Slightly overdone it this year, but my family glugs through it and one year we didn't have enough for the Christmas brunch Buck's Fizz and I've been overly cautious since Grin

Newdad19 · 24/12/2021 06:10

The shelf full of IRN BRU made me laugh! Is this just for Christmas or all year round? 😊
PonyPals · 24/12/2021 08:20

Here is ours... played Tetris and still have things I need to add in!

@Newdad19 Let's talk about iron bru ? When did the addiction start ? 🤣

Moaningturtle · 24/12/2021 08:31

@beastlyslumber

'Twas the fridge before Christmas, and all through MN All the pp were posting their eggs and their ham. The dairy was stuffed in the fridge doors with hope That the vegans and lactose intolerant would cope. The turkeys were nestled all snug on their shelves (Flaunting the rules on food hygiene and health) Each poster admired the abundance and glory And some told their seasonal food storage story

When out on the thread came a loud virtue-signal
To condemn the poor pp for pleasures so simple,
To claim that their morals were far, far superior -
There was naught but fresh air in their fridge interior!

The pp in outrage defended their food
And said 'did you mean to be so bloody rude?'
The po-faced retreated to their secret hampers,
And we all applauded and cheered us with champers.

The pp approved of each well-stocked appliance
And each felt the warmth of our festive alliance
And I heard us exclaim, as we saw off that glitch,
Happy Fridge-mas to all, and to all a good Fridge!

Bravo @beastlyslumber bravo indeed!!!!

Made stuffing with chestnut puree and Christmas stuffing mix for a test. Oooh it was yummy. Bit off topic but yum yum munch munch

pluggee · 24/12/2021 09:47

Love this thread!

I just need to get some more cheese, as you can see the only thing I'm cooking is the sprouts everything else pre prepared by m&s or Sainsbury's!

and the mash, I will make that

VanGoghsDog · 24/12/2021 10:12

The thing with the Irn Bru - why so many cans in the fridge? Surely you only need one or two and replace as you take one, to cool it ready for drinking?
It's not like milk that needs to be in the fridge.

NinaDefoe · 24/12/2021 10:19

A constant supply of cold IRN BRU is essential! Why faff about rotating cans when you can dedicate a whole shelf to it!

VanGoghsDog · 24/12/2021 10:20

Well, if you can, fine. But if you can't find room for other things, or the fridge is too squashed......

I like it when the weather is proper cold, then I put cans and fruit out the back door!

KingJeremyTheWickedd · 24/12/2021 10:34

Love this thread! Here’s our offering Xmas Smile

I think we have something from every supermarket here, thanks to our lovely friends and family picking bits up as we’ve tested positive. My poor grandparents were out at half past 7 this morning to get our M&S pick up order! No room for the rest of our booze though, very envious of the big American style fridge freezers on this thread.

😂 doesn't everyone have an irn bru shelf?

In fact I would say the whole fridge should be organised Around said irn bru

😂😂 it goes like gold dust in this house, especially when nephews etc are over

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 24/12/2021 11:31

I am done! We've had to evict the cucumbers to the camping fridge, as they won't fit in, and the cheese is in 3 locations around the fridge. It's all in though! Xmas Grin

I love this thread.

All in (except the bird - that's wrapped and in the garage). And more booze is stacked to the side, for prompt replenishment.

Here’s mine. Seems very dull compared to all yours. There’s four filet mignons in there somewhere. Wine is in the wine fridge

@Fireworksatforty

My Morrisons delivery isn't due until 3pm tomorrow. Going to be a bit stuck if anything vital is missing Shock
Gosh. Thinking of you. This could all go so wrong.
Pangolin44 · 24/12/2021 12:44

I remember last year's kerfuffle, this thread's been running for an age and that's the first time it's been vaguely contentious. I think the events of the last couple of years have emboldened the self-righteous.

Anyway, all orders finally here so it's Christmas fridge time!

Food fridge and drinks fridge (which needs a little replenishment). There is an auxiliary fridge in the cellar which is housing overflow.

I bloody love a fridge nosy.

Well reading this thread has made me realise several things:

  1. That mumsnet reallybis ridiculously middle class
  2. Everyone has massive fridges (well nearly everyone) Some even spend 5000 in a fridge! 😱
  3. People seem to drink a lot of canned pop or is that as mixers? I just buy a bottle, thought that was the norm.
  4. People buy a lot of lurpak
  5. I know who the people are now who wander around buying food like it will run out in the next few days.
  6. I have a smaller fridge than everyone else, will be eating quite a lot over Christmas and boxing day in terms of roast dinner and puds. But still have plenty of space in my fridge and don't need to make room to cram anything else in.

How the other half live, eh?
