I haven’t seen a thread yet and it’s becoming somewhat of a tradition to be nosey and look in MNetters Xmas fridges.

Here’s mine, booze is in the garage!

My fridge. It is very full, but as well as the food for DH and me, contains the contents of hampers sent as Christmas gifts from my DM to us and our two DC. Dcs do not have space in their fridges at the moment, so it's mum and dad's fridge to the rescue. DH is in charge of fridge organisation and does a great job of fitting everything in.
@VanGoghsDog. Sadly, I don't drink on my own and I'll be on my own all of Christmas, so it'll all still be there in the new year.

It's Christmas, permission to drink alone lady. I'm alone, well my friend Mr Wine is with me.
I don't need permission, I just don't enjoy it. For me it's a social thing.

Mine looks very underwhelming compared to others! Hosting 8 for Christmas dinner but then off to my folks for Boxing Day so only really got Xmas day stuff in. We have a separate drinks fridge which has loads of beer, soft drinks and Prosecco in, plus the big millionaires dessert thing I bought.

My fridge is virtually empty other than the turkey, pigs in blankets, and a joint of beef in the bottom drawer.
Going to pick up the veg from the local farm shop tomorrow am, and debating whether to go to the supermarket tonight or early tomorrow morning..
My youngest daughter has been unwell so really disorganised this year.

Some of you would have a lot more room in your fridge if you got yourself an egg helter skelter... Just saying!

Omg I love that. Never keep eggs in the fridge anyway but they just sit in their unsightly book on the side

My egg helta skelta is not as steep and still results in a couple of cracked eggs each month.

@HighlandCowbag Hang on, your husband tested positive and so you went shopping??? ShockHmmAngry

WowIlikereallyhateyou · 23/12/2021 19:23

Impossible to take a picture of the scale of mine. Takes up the whole corner ofthe kitchen and I can stand in it, and have never ever ,managed to fill it. There are 36 bottles of wine / champagne and box of beer just on the bottom of it. It is like a cave.

Guidance is you don't need to isolate if your own PCR is negative.

Wow. Is it custom built? I really miss my American fridge freezer and regret getting a built-in one. It's too small.
WowIlikereallyhateyou · 23/12/2021 19:50

Shakingmy, it is from the corner fridge company, you can build your own. Ours was about £5000, it is about double the capacity of an american fridge/freezer, together.

shakingmytinselatyule · 23/12/2021 19:56

Thank you. Off for a Google! I couldn't really change mine again now, but I have serious fridge envy.

SomebodysMum · 23/12/2021 19:56

I haven’t RTFT so apologies if someone has already mentioned this.

I have very much enjoyed having a nosey at people’s Christmas fridges but at least one shows bananas in the fridge. Bananas!!! My poor brain.

Fridgenomynous · 23/12/2021 20:08

I keep things you don't "need" to keep in the fridge because I don't eat them quick enough. Eggs last ages in the fridge and oranges taste better chilled IMHO Xmas Grin

No one in the household needs to self isolate as long as either fully vaccinated (I am plus booster) or under 18 years and 6 months. Dd is 17 but also fully vaccinated. Neither I or DD have any symptoms but have done lft and been for PCRs today.

The rules changed quite a while ago now, in September I think maybe? But I definitely do not need to self isolate and think pcr/lfts are advisory rather than compulsory.

The fact family members don't have to isolate if fully jabbed is probably keeping the whole infrastructure going right now, try not to be too judgey.

Hahaha! I've never cracked any in mine, but I do enjoy watching them rolling down... simple pleasures!
