OMG M&S have no delivery dates b4 xmas....

What's going on?!
Went online to order some last minute gifts from M&S and it's too late...
No click n collect nor delivery dates until
29th December!
Bugger.

Husband will only have books this year. No slippers. Dressing gown or socks. Welll, not until after Christmas anyway. In which case I might as well wait for the sales 😃

I blame the Government. If they had been working out retail Xmas delivery dates instead of partying, this unholy mess wouldn't have happened.

OP, I'm picking up my M&S food order tomorrow, just a few little bits. I ordered it in mid October. MN taught me that years ago. You can't leave it last minute with any big supplier anymore.

I had this with M&S yesterday. Ordered something and all the days from 21st were crossed out and there was no click and collect until the 30th . Even next day delivery wasn't until 30th. I ordered it because it was something I needed anyway.

Then I went back to see if I could c&c from town before Christmas rather than the out of town food store and suddenly there were dates available from 23rd onwards, even at the food store.

So I reordered and cancelled the first one. Who knows if it will turn up. 🤷‍♀️

Are you also surprised when cows moo?

You've had plenty of time to be better prepared, hardly as if Christmas was an unpredictable event. The shops are still open get off your backside if you need gifts

Why can't people just be disorganised or have misjudged time left and not be judged as some disgrace to humanity as a result? I was still Christmas shopping yesterday because we all got Norovirus last week. Maybe I should have shopped in July to avoid it, but I'm a disorganised cow so that's never going to happen.

They can, but they can't moan about it and expect sympathy when it's very predictable and hardly the end of the world.

Update!! My click and collect where the only available date was 29th turned up today!!

I will have something to open on the big day - hurray!

OP, you’re getting such a hard time! I also would have expected a big shop like M&S to have last minute Christmas delivery slots.

My second (replacement) order for the 23rd arrived today

There was someone complaining on Radio 4 today that they were trying today to book a Christmas supermarket delivery and couldn’t get one. No shit! The rest of us booked them in October!

I’m not bothered about anyone leaving it last minute. I feel for the OPs husband that he’s missing out because one shop won’t deliver on time. Go to a shop. Pick different stuff. Whatever. I couldn’t do that to someone I loved. And whichever PP said it is right, if a man posted this he’s be torn a new one!

I went shopping early (ish) yesterday morning and had whole shops to myself. It was quite enjoyable
