OMG M&S have no delivery dates b4 xmas....

What's going on?!
Went online to order some last minute gifts from M&S and it's too late...
No click n collect nor delivery dates until
29th December!
Bugger.

Husband will only have books this year. No slippers. Dressing gown or socks. Welll, not until after Christmas anyway. In which case I might as well wait for the sales 😃

That’s quite a concept!

They should think about maybe grouping lots of these “shops” together in one street. Add a couple of cafes and restaurants, and perhaps services such as key cutting and dry cleaning. It could catch on…

It's showing next day /nominated day delivery available from tomorrow until 24th of Dec for £ 4.99 for me.

Sorry op but this did make me laugh!

I’m not sure why you thought you’d get a delivery date four days before Christmas, especially not this year.They’ve been telling us for ages that there’s a shortage of delivery drivers and stock is running low due to this.

But even on a normal year pre driver shortages, you’d be hard pushed to get a delivery this close to Christmas!

Even in the actual shops stock is low or there are large empty spaces where stock should be. I went out last week to do some Christmas shopping. Ended up coming home and ordering most of it online. But the upside is lots of stuff has been reduced!

I’ve ordered some of it on Amazon but I’m still waiting on 3 items Not sure I’m going to receive it this side of Christmas!

If you can’t get out to the shops then Amazon prime may be your best bet

I’m surprised you’re surprised. It’s a pandemic, the news has stated for months there will be supply shortages. Delivery drivers and factory staff will be off sick too. Brexit. Etc etc.

Maybe op doesn’t read the news.

However perhaps order from elsewhere quickly in hope? Slippers etc can be bought elsewhere.

It would be a bit late irrespective of Covid, Brexit, delivery drivers etc.! Reminds me of being in Asda on Christmas Eve, 15 minutes before closing and a hysterical woman was screaming at the poor staff because there were no fresh sprouts, didn't they know it was Christmas? Cue the amused bystanders mentally breaking into song.

It's not as simple as "go to the shop" - our nearest M&S is shit and the one 15 miles away doesn't have the items I want in stock.

Same with another shop (Joules) - been into three stores looking for the item, they've been saying "no guaranteed delivery before Christmas" since last week online.

We once decided to do nothing before 23rd, presents, food etc.. It was a manic couple of days but we managed it and saved a lot of money because we weren't chucking random things into the trolley since 1st November and a lot of stuff was reduced. Wouldn't recommend it though unless you have very strong nerves!

Slippers, dressing gown and socks. Why not add loo cleaner and a toilet brush.

I was shocked we managed to get a shopping spot the Saturday just gone and that was a week before Christmas.

With people having to isolate or not wanting to go out I think online ordering has been even busier this year and that has also affected the deliveries.

Wouldn’t have made any difference OP, my orders from 1st December not turned up, neither has the replacement. That’s what happens why companies use Hermes.

All the comments about OP perhaps not having the money until now ... it's friggin M & S.
Expensive and nice - therefore ya know, buy it in the sales, or as new off VInted (as I did) or ya know, Primark/Asda etc ...
