first world Christmas problems..

I have to work on Christmas Eve until 3pm.
I cannot find another roll of my favourite wrapping paper.
I don't know what I want for me under the Christmas tree.

What are your first world Christmas problems?

I will take the award most graciously and I’ll be only slightly smug. Maybe I’ll reward myself with some of the cake everyone is taking about.

Matalan have cancelled my order of Christmas lounge wear. 😭

I have a 3 month old who needs nothing
I've told family she does not need anything for Xmas if you really want to you can out some money in her account but she will be happy with nothing
I bet she still gets alot of plastic crap tho

I ordered Christmas nail wraps in October and they still haven’t arrived. Had to do non Christmassy nails for my work party tonight!

Whether to go on holiday or not...

I'm too bad at wrapping presents nicely and also I ran out of songs to use for my Smartshow 3d christmas video this year.

My DD and I were due to fly to Barbados on Sunday but she tested positive for Covid earlier this week so no holiday for us 😭

I accidentally bought a box of Turkish Delight when I already had one.

Both boxes into the food bank, it's nasty stuff but someone must like it!🤢

We've got 2 x real Christmas trees in the house but no tree lights, they are due next week so we will have bare Christmas trees over the weekend - life is so unfair

My oven broke so no Xmas dinner 😊 I'm so happy I have a excuse not to cook

I do not know whether or not to put candy canes in a display bowl. Also I do not know if I want a stocking or not this year.

We might be moving house the week before Xmas and the DCs want the tree up now. If I can find it at the back of the storage unit.

Do I put it up for them and dismantle and move it and put it up again or do I wait to see if we are moving and put it up later? It would be the 22nd, it just seems really late.

Put it up. If you move stand it in a duvet cover and button/zip it up and transport it in the van like that!

Take off very precious ornaments, the rest will be fine!

lost my enthusiasm this year,this never happens,Usually I am done by now and sat back in total smugness,this year nothing,So much to do so little inclination to do it,

DH’s away working for a month over Christmas and New Year. I’ll be at home with the kids. It’s going to be a looooong 3 weeks until I’m back at work and they’re back at school. We live rurally. Not much to do. Most places are closed. Hardly any daylight hours and it’s cold and wet most days.

Lots of extended family nearby - none of them giving me any sympathy and no one’s invited us round. I’ve tried to arrange meet ups, but no ones keen. Friends are all busy with their own families. Boo!

I live in the Southern Hemisphere so some of my traditional British roast dinner ingredients are out of season, and I have a rule that I don't buy out of season fruit and veg. I will either have to break this rule or go without home made cranberry sauce and roast parsnips.

It's literally the most difficult decision that anyone has ever wrestled with.

Too much Percy Pig in M&S. I’ve had enough of the gurning pink snorter - pigs are not Christmassy.

I bought what I thought was a luxury ready made bread sauce. It turned out to be an expensive cardboard box of breadcrumbs! 😆

Our pre-Christmas holiday is looking a bit precarious due to Covid.

My Waitrose gorgeous wrapping paper will not stick with sellotape.....

And have just cut 2 sets of outdoor lights in half....I tie them up and cut the string...and the wire....

I had Covid and can't taste anything. What's the point in Christmas food without taste, why am I going to spend hours cooking when I can't enjoy it. We're still in isolation so I haven't been able to buy my tree.

Oh, I am so sorry...there was lovely cake being served up at your award ceremony! It was the most delicious cake I've ever eaten. You must have been otherwise engaged receiving accolades whilst it was being served. I did hear there will be cake at the International Awards ceremony for Saving the Planet... fingers crossed you will go on to win that prestigious award so you can get in the queue for cake. 🍰🥂

I have to choose between having my kitchen delivered or going away for my anniversary weekend. If I choose kitchen I lose £650 and a Michelin star meal/ night away. If I choose night away, my kitchen doesn't get delivered until the new year.

Pay someone to sit in your house and accept the delivery. Easy money for a neighbour and you don’t miss out.

The ‘big surprise’ nest box plus camera and thing full of nesting wool, I ordered for impossible to buy for dh, arrived the other day with RSPB all over the boxes in bloody great letters.

And dh answered the door. So unless he failed to notice (TBH not entirely impossible) it’s not going to be a big surprise any more since he’ll know it’s something bird related. 🙁

I really want a bottle of cafe patron for my Christmas drinks party but it’s being discontinued and I cannot find it anywhere that isn’t an extortionate price

The beanie my son really wanted has been out of stock for the last month and if it doesn't come into stock today, I won't be able to get it in time for Xmas.
