first world Christmas problems..

I have to work on Christmas Eve until 3pm.
I cannot find another roll of my favourite wrapping paper.
I don't know what I want for me under the Christmas tree.

What are your first world Christmas problems?

The $550 trainers that exh is buying for DS from USA won't be here for Christmas, because as usual he's not sorted it himself and left it til the last minute. Obviously the job has now fallen to me to order them, sort customs, etc! He'll 'just send over the money, ok?'😡

@repottingthescabious I might agree except that MIL is the queen of M&S and slippers and gloves would allow her to indulge her passion. I'm not begrudging anyone a Christmas dinner.

I have to choose between having my kitchen delivered or going away for my anniversary weekend. If I choose kitchen I lose £650 and a Michelin star meal/ night away. If I choose night away, my kitchen doesn't get delivered until the new year.

Hi, i know you're not. @squashyhat i just think at the moment what with queues for boosters, restrictions, omicron, christmas madness it is sometimes easier to just do a blanket purchase.

For example to save me trawling round charity shops choosing the cards i just went straight online and bought them direct from the charity.

Santa may well magically arrive with your slippers yet awhile...

I can’t remember where I’ve hidden some presents.
I did that once. I didn’t find it for 3 years. As you might imagine, the toy was well outgrown and far outside the return window by the time I found it.

What has she done? Gone to the police to tell them when, who was there? No of course not, she's as much a liar as Johnson.

I'm sure she's sorry she got caught and, as a result, lost her job.

Is she sorry that she partied and laughter at us?

My husband bought home some decorations that when taken out of the box sprayed glitter EVERYWHERE...so now I have to divorce him....it's my daughters last year believing...I know she's suspicious and the question will be asked soon...but I'll lie for one more Christmas....I have to take it in turns having my parents each year and as they can't bear each other which can be upsetting and my husband also bought a huge Christmas pudding which is not gluten free for me but I know I'll still have some and blame him while I overdose on gaviscon...😁

You've all just reminded me of the million things I still need to do, especially the eco wrapping paper and crackers. If it helps I've just found some nice Kraft recyclable wrapping paper on offer at Argos/Habitat.

If anyone has recommendations of nice crackers that are not full of plastic tat I would be forever grateful!

I found some in Oxfam, they have card decorations inside and are really pretty.

4 Christmas trees up in my house, but it’s all went to shit because one of them is missing a star and I just can’t find the perfect one 🤣
