Wreck-I found opening the door added the offer automatically-but my offers have been awful: a couple of prize draws for things I don't want and 20% off things I don't want (and I have been looking for a nice dress /top for Christmas). No freebies at all, even though on other threads there is talk of free chocolate!
Fluffy i have given up trying to enjoy exercise- I just grit my teeth and do it so am impressed with your perseverance.

I lit Christmas candles, ate spekulous cakes and watched a Christmas film last night while DH was at his work Christmas party. It's mine tonight (we need to show covid passes and log a negative lat flow today.

I have to buy a couple of things today (Christmas food) that I can freeze ) It means going to 3 different shops (Lidl for the nut roast then Aldi for the garlic bread my DS likes ,) then a waft round Sainsbury .
Still looking for the TV Times .

I watched 4 episodes of "It's A Sin" (didn't watch it when it aired ) .
They have a lot of Christmas there , none of them happy though !

I did mention to DH and the Female Cat Two weeks time is Christmas Eve ...... I got the look from both of them

DH has been dispatched to Aldi today. They didn't have all of what we wanted out on the shelves yet. I'll go later (mini pies!).

Apparently the cheese selection is amazing. I shall be a happy bunny mouse.

Constantly my Christmas do was cancelled as half the dept said they weren't comfortable doing it in person. I'm jealous you get to go out and socialise properly! We're doing a virtual one next week with hampers being delivered.

It's my half day today and Im planning to pop to town to do the things I didn't do yesterday. I'm also hoping my Matalan order will be in soon - it was due in store (c&c) on Tuesday.
I'll be having my wrapping session once I'm home (with muppets Christmas Carol as always) which I'm looking forward to.

I'm also hoping to drag DH food shopping in the morning and to finish my dads hamper. Then, aside from waiting for 2 deliveries, I'll be done

It is my work Christmas do tonight. I am only going for the meal (priorities as I am having honeycomb cheesecake for dessert 😍) As I don't drink I am not a fan of watching others getting drunk round me, it isn't much fun. I am also working tomorrow.

I used to, not these days, drink enough for both of us, Why!

Crazy, that's a bit miserable. Ours is going ahead (I'm not going; 170 miles is too far to go for it really), as long as you have a Covid pass and negative test. At least you're getting a hamper. I doubt I'll get anything as I've just chosen not to go.

70, I had rather overdone it on my night out. And needed to be very, very close to the loo. It happened many times, but I didn't often have almost-as-equally drink company for a chat!

70 thankfully for Fluffy I can't remember the finer details, not even sure it made sense in any way shape or form. I just recall them chatting away.

I am disappointed to report that I was hit by Friday/covid tiredness and was home by 7.45! Now on the sofa watching a CCF!

We have no Christmas do , it has been cancelled . Not any great surprise TBH , I've been watching the news and thinking it wouldn't take place .

I need to get a couple of presents for my DMum and get them posted before I run out of time (and allow for potential isolation of post again )

I am going to rifle through my TV Times and mark things .

In two weeks two weeks I'll be peeling the sprouts and putting crosses in them to stash in the fridge (gets that tedious job out of the way early)

I might save "The Girl Before" to watch on Christmas Eve ( well some of it , , there are 4 episodes ) or I;ll have a search for a creepy/spooky (not horror) story

I got this little beauty done , I have been Ohhh should I or not for months .
Booked it and tried to not talk myself out of it .
Actually pretty painfree , nothing like I'd imagined .

70 I love it! I would have thought it would be quite painful but I guess piercings are over pretty quickly. I would love more piercings in my ear but can't really afford it, plus I can't wear anything in my lobes now as they get irritated. Maybe I need a decent metal?

That's lovely, 70! I don't have any ear piercings now (or nose / bellybutton), but if I did, I think I'd look at that type.

I've realised that I've booked my sodding booster when my hairdresser is coming round. Honestly, I'm a liability. And now I can't get another this year. I'll tell her shortly and see if we can somehow work round it! Poor woman.

Does anybody else with school age kids think it'll be a Christmas miracle to get to the end of term without a child getting Covid?! It seems to be rife right now. And we don't finish until 21 Dec, so extra time to catch it.

Yes fluffy. I'm so worried. Still no cases at primary but rife in secondary. We finish on the 17th though. One week to go!

They don't tell us about cases. I know they're struggling with staff illness though, so it's in the school.

I don't know if the primary school would tell us but we would know anyway. The secondary school told us just before half term but dd says loads of people are off with it 😬

I added slightly to my Christmas food yesterday by getting pigs in blankets, some frozen party food, biscuits, matchmakers and Pringles. I'm going to do a click and collect on Friday for things that can be frozen then will have to pop somewhere after work Christmas Eve. Places are usually quiet by the afternoon aren't they?! Probably won't have much selection left but it's only us.

You won't need much by then though? There's usually stacks of veg at Christmas, so you should be fine. Whatever meat you're having can be bought and frozen.
