That's interesting crazy could be something like that! Why hormones seem to ruin everything don't they? When I was a teen I got horrendous hormonal migraines and when I was pregnant.

18! So exciting. We are still Covid free. Dd had 7 off in her class yesterday. 12 days until Edinburgh 😬

I had awful nosebleeds at the end of middle school and going into high school. The GP told my mum it was "because of my age" 🤷‍♀️
It's funny in a way, because when my mum started with "the change" she had loads of nosebleeds too and the same GP said that was "because of her age"...🤦‍♀️

Dear god. It's freezing. 🥶🥶

I headed back to Sainsbury's as soon as it opened, as they had the cheesecake in stock which I needed (DH and I both had them as freebies, and I had 2 x 500 points, he had 1 x 500 points for 'buying' them, so I've been paid £7.50 to have cheesecake!). It was a journey worth taking for free food and points!

I finally got back on the cross trainer this morning. If I go bed at a reasonable time, I have the energy for it!

Definitely agree hormones ruin everything Wreck. Mine kick off PMT, skin / eczema flare ups, migraines, cramps, bp spikes, sleeplessness, hot flushes and back pain amongst a million other things. I don't envy your dd one bit.
With the nosebleeds, mine started before puberty and go through phases of being all the time then nothing for ages but hay fever and when the weather turns cold are the 2 big triggers.

I have a day off today so I've had a lie in, a shower, breakfast and cleaned the Kitchen. Going to try and figure out the app for the smart plugs DH picked up for the all the Christmas lights, rehang the ones I gave up on yesterday, then doing a trip to town (Primark and Wilko) and possibly the garden centre then home to write the last of the cards.

It's getting dark here now too and it's been non stop bucketing down all day. I've binned off going to town as my Matalan order hasn't come in so I'll go later in the week instead.

Ive sorted the lights - I actually read the command hook packaging and realised you're supposed to leave them for half hour before hanging things from them which I didn't do
I also disturbed a spider which is apparently living in the blinds rail - I jumped so much I nearly fell off the chair I was standing on! 😂

Am now boiling because I've been hoovering and mopping the whole house. Almost done though - I can't wait to have a cuppa, a cookie, Chuck some Christmas music on and finish off the cards

The thermometers say our house is warm, but it just feels very cold with the wind outside!

Crazy, I'd have broken my neck in that spider situation!

I did the cross trainer again. Go me! 🤣

It's very wet and very windy here. I can hear something banging outside, but I'll be buggered if I'm going to find out what it is I've watched Final Destination; going outside isn't safe!.

We had the first lot of cheesecake last night. It was very nice indeed. 😋

I've still seen some people around MN saying it's too early to discuss Christmas. I really do think that's odd!

Fluffy I saw my sister today who said she'd barely started shopping, put her tree up (but not decorated it) yesterday and felt like Christmas had crept up on her this year!
I'm not really sure how she can say that considering she has 3 kids who have all been talking about Christmas since November at least

The spider nearly ended with me breaking my neck. I had 1 foot on a chair and 1 on the windowsill when I disturbed it so it ran out and along the rail where my hand was. I tried to step back and almost threw myself off the chair entirely - I'm not really sure how I landed sat on the table rather than on the floor!

Work is almost done for the day. I need to pull my socks up today - I've had a few meetings and stuff but don't feel like I've actually achieved much at all....

I've finished work now. Woo hoo! Am taking dd to see Boxing Day at the cinema tonight, I'm going to be exhausted as it doesn't start until 8pm my bedtime

Last night and tomorrow night ds is doing his school Christmas play, they did one Monday too, so he is also exhausted. Dd has Christmas jumper day Friday, and own clothes day the following Friday. Ds has a panto trip with school next week plus Christmas lunch, party and Christmas jumper. He also finishes school an hour earlier on the last day of term. Busy busy busy.

Oven glove failure alert

I've got a sore middle finger. I didn't realise one of the flaps of my oven gloves was fred-bear until my finger started to spontaneously combust
I've spent about 4+ hrs clutching cans of coke/beer too cool it down.
I'm a bit hungry DH ate his chicken dinner, most of mine was binned
and I really NEED to sulk 😢 even though the cats have had a lovely Chicken lunch and are very happy 😹🤦‍♀️

Crazy, I've been doing overtime again to try to catch up with myself, as I keep getting new files. At least I can get paid extra. I need to start getting ahead bearing in mind I'm off soon. Some chance!

Fluffy I am now caught up in end-of/term stuff - so fun things like Christmas concerts but also lots of admin with reports, data and Ucas.
My course has started but so far isn't too onerous- there will be a lot more work for it in January. At the moment it is just reading and buying nice stationery I don't really need,

Feels like it's a mad time of year for everyone.

I booked my booster last night to bring it forward. I was having it on 7 Jan, but I'm at a gig on 15 Jan, so wanted my booster well before then, I decided. So I booked for 20 Dec, but then realised I couldn't have it then, as I'm giving blood on 27 Dec. So I moved it to 7pm on 16 Dec, only to realise I have something booked at 8pm that night. So I then booked for 6pm that night instead. Got there in the end! 🤣

I was on the cross trainer again today. I'm sure I'll start to enjoy it again at some point!

I have my flu jab booked for 20th as I've had to miss 2 appointments (one as it was middle of the day and I had a meeting and one because DH had Covid and we were waiting for my results).
🤞🏼 I don't get any side effects from it!

I've finished up a few big projects at work and have pushed new ones back to January with the hope I can get on top of all my admin / training / clearing the little things before finishing

Today I'm going to the garden centre after work, stopping to buy stamps then collecting cushion inners from my auntie so tomorrow I'll be using my afternoon off to post my last 2 cards, put out my millions of Christmas cushions and have my annual wrapping session

I've done a wee bit of Christmas food shopping today and picked up DS's secret Santa gift for school.

I'm off to the dentist and the hygienist this afternoon and then out for dinner with DH tonight. I could go to the pharmacy next door to the dentist to see if they would do my booster as a drop in but I don't want to feel grim this evening and it's booked for Tuesday morning anyway.

I've just finished work...I feel like I'm getting nowhere. It's never bloody ending, I can tell you. Sigh. Tomorrow will also be full on too. Might have to forego the cross trainer to work instead, as I don't want to work late tomorrow!

Yeah, I wouldn't have got the booster in your shoes, Woolly. Not so close to when it's booked.

Update on the finger...it's a bit sore, but I think I've got away with it. DH managed to do the washing up so I think it might still be sore tomorrow too.
