If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

I'm sure it's been mentioned, but I picked up loads of bargains in Tesco, using my clubcard. Best purchase was a Hot Wheels RC remote Monster Truck, should have been £50 down to £25!

ChiaraMontague · 01/11/2021 18:33

Anyone know where I can order some lovely perfume samples? I want to give some to my mum and let her try them out during December and then pick her favourite for her birthday in January. Thank you!

PinkDaydreams · 01/11/2021 18:35

@Silversilverstreet

My last message was in reply to *@PinkDaydreams*’ post about not being able to get to to the home page, but this link may be more helpful.
Thank you! That worked,sadly the freebies seem to have gone, never mind.
PinkDaydreams · 01/11/2021 18:39

Does anyone have any Superdrug inside knowledge please?? Around this time last year they had branded perfume and aftershave for £5, does anyone know if they will be doing it again this year?

Silversilverstreet · 01/11/2021 18:41

They have put a message on the website that all the samples are finished!

@Fluffitybrush, thank you for letting us know.

DockOTheBay · 01/11/2021 18:46

Love the names of the bricking it figurines. Especially "Famous Godfather" and "headmaster of wizards"

Does Sainsburys toy sale start tomorrow (instore only I think?)? I'd made a note but haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.

sittingonacornflake · 01/11/2021 18:49

@DockOTheBay oh interesting! I've got a couple of bottles of wine on mine and it worked.

buzzing · 01/11/2021 18:49

@JaneyJimplin

Hi all. I'm really struggling to get my head in to Christmas and haven't bought a single gift yet ☹

Ds2 loves the captain underpants books but I've read them all to him. Can anyone recommend a similar, potty-humour type book series i can get him? He has autism. He's loves humour but the likes of David Walliams are too verbose/rely on word-play that confuses him.

Have you read the Dogman series, they’re in a similar vein & my DD enjoyed them.
Minionbums · 01/11/2021 18:51

@Gracesquirrel that was me, and this message has made my day! We’ve bought from their market stall many times but first time I’ve ordered online, mine arrived today as well and they’re perfect - Squid Game, which is the hot thing at the moment!

Christmas1988 · 01/11/2021 18:53

@RainbowPhilosophy Sainsbury’s toy sale has been set back it’s now predicting 10-16 November.

Someaddedsugar · 01/11/2021 18:54

Another thanks @Minionbums - our brick men arrived today and they're fab! The Dead Pool one comes with a bike too and looks like it should be a lot more than £2.50!

thaegumathteth · 01/11/2021 19:03
@Getoutofbed25 I managed to get you a latte but no cupcake.
@billyandemily no cupcakes I’m afraid

I did grab an extra latte & 2 extra cinnamon buns if they are if any use? If not I’ll see if anyone else wants them or take them back x
Do you know how much postage would be on 2 of them by any chance?

newusernameforxmas · 01/11/2021 19:06

@janeyjimplin - has he read Diary of a Wimpy Kid?

Thank you to whoever posted about the Lego bonsai tree. After my free £5 voucher, plus the disount it worked out at £20 and the box is HUGE!

RainbowPhilosophy · 01/11/2021 19:07

Thanks @Christmas1988 - wouldn't want us all to miss out Grin

I guess if its over £60 without the wine then it would work? Or maybe it was just my app being a pain!

Twonka · 01/11/2021 19:12

@TakeMeToYourLiar

Does anyone have any suggestions for advent calendars got an 11 month old?

Her brother is having Lego mini figures in his

We have an empty one for her, no idea what to put in it

Finger puppets Wooden animals
SandwichDistraction · 01/11/2021 19:13

@TakeMeToYourLiar

I have an 11month old and a 4yr old. They are getting marble sized bath bombs in their advent calendars. They both love baths. I haven’t got them yet bath thinking of buying from here:

www.etsy.com/uk/shop/mrsbumblebaths?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=1031485820&page=2#items

ItsAllBlahBlahBlah · 01/11/2021 19:16

@TakeMeToYourLiar my son was that age last year. We did bath finger puppets, balloons, bath squirter toys, bath crayons (split a pack), playmobil 123 figures (I brought a small bundle on ebay) I guess it depends how small the drawers are?

sittingonacornflake · 01/11/2021 19:17

@DockOTheBay ha no I'm not that silly, only just got it to over £60 so with the voucher was just over £50 plus delivery charge.

I bought this discovery box from john lewis for my mum's birthday. it's not cheap at £50, but made a really 'wow' gift

@Daisy829 thank you so much! I would take a Late and a cinnamon buns if you have one left, I’m so very grateful to you. I’m not quite sure how to PM will try now and can arrange to pay you FlowersSmile Thanks again x

AlbertCampion · 01/11/2021 19:33

@JaneyJimplin The Tom Gates books are great and v similar in style to Wimpy Kid I think.

Junobug · 01/11/2021 19:33

@JaneyJimplin
My children love Dog man and Cat Kid Comic Club and like Diary of a wimpy kid and Mr Gum (the audio book is great fun).
I'm going to try my eldest on Tom Gates soon. They really didn't like the 13 Story Treehouse even though it gets great reviews and refuse to look at unfamiliar graphic novels even though I know they'd love them if they gave them a chance.
