If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Bought throw throw burrito last year as family Xmas game. Was AwFUL. Gave away to charity shop!!

hotchocdrinker · 05/11/2021 10:48

For those who have had their Neom diffuser orders cancelled, Oliver Bonas do one which I bought for my daughter last year, and which has very good reviews www.oliverbonas.com/homeware/sage-green-essential-oil-aroma-diffuser-315793#selection.color=2000

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 05/11/2021 10:54

I e just bought throw throw burrito! We don't need any more games ffs.

We do love exploding kittens so hoping it's along those lines

crikeycrumbsblimey · 05/11/2021 10:56

For those asking about book sets I use www.lowplexbooks.com/

The editions I've had have all been proper versions by which I mean the paper is decent quality and the illustrations inside (if there are any) are full colour rather than the cheaper B&W ones used to get with the book people etc. Really important if you are buying things like Dogman, Jamie Smart etc.

ramonaquimby · 05/11/2021 10:57

Yea we have exploding kittens too, and rather like it. Have expansion pack too 😂

crikeycrumbsblimey · 05/11/2021 11:05

For those who didn't get the Neom, I'm thinking at least it gave me the idea so looking for another one.

Tisserand have one reduced on their site from £40 to £30 (although it is £35 in most places) and you can get 10% off if you join the LiveLifeWell club so £27

Chocolateteabag · 05/11/2021 11:24

@InDreamland - thankyou for the QVC Hotel Chocolate TSV tip off.

They also have a good BareMinerals TSV - £40 for 2 x Foundations, Mineral Veil, blusher, mascara and lip gloss (plus P&P)
The foundations are £29 each (£24 on offer) so worth it for them

NigelSlatersXmasTaters · 05/11/2021 11:24

So do we @ramonaquimby love a catatomic bomb Grin

Oh well, if we don't like it I'm sure I can get a tenner for it on fbook. I need a games clear out actually to fit all of the new ones in! Ridiculous amount of games and at least 5 more coming at Christmas

Number109 · 05/11/2021 11:27

@mammyaroundmadness a nice cheese board, cheese knives, some sturdy crackers and maybe a bottle of red wine. If you’re adding cheese, I really like the wax wrapped ones from the Cheshire cheese company, their Cheshire cheese is delicious but they have other options.

gingerroot · 05/11/2021 11:27

does anyone have any recommendations for laptops?
My mum needs to learn to use one. She is OK with an iPhone and uses it for everything (albeit slow and with huge text).

She'd only use it for:

  • recipes (she doesn't like her iPad so not worth it)
  • buying things
  • watching youtube/shows

She wouldn't even use Word or anything other than Chrome.

Any advice?

GhostOfChristmasPudding · 05/11/2021 11:33

@ItsAllBlahBlahBlah if you join the George Asda rewards club, they sometimes have offers on, but you need to use points to get them (racked up from buying stuff, doing click and collect, etc.)

It can be a bit hit and miss though, and they don't give you any warning about what offers there will be, so it pays to check quite often if you want something in particular. Xmas Smile

Thank you for barbie recommendations I will have a look at those later.

Any way to get discount off bikes at Halfords

Mumto3thatsme · 05/11/2021 11:47

Lots of price drops on Elemis products on Amazon if anyones looking for skincare products

BunnyBerries · 05/11/2021 12:13

A couple of places (Look Fantastic, Perfume Shop) have matched Boots' half price (£26) on Jimmy Choo Blossom 60ml
Eau de Parfum but that price seems to have only lasted about a day on Boots's Black Friday sale...before they put it back up to £52. (Superdrug also £52). I don't know what it's like myself, but it's in a very cute bottle that some might like too.

Cox and Cox have 25% off full priced items today with code 50DAYS. Their lights and decorations are always lovely.

BangingOn · 05/11/2021 12:22

Oh, and Scout and Co have 20% off with code PIECESOF8. Lovely independent website with clothes, toys, book etc for children.

Lurleene · 05/11/2021 12:38

@gingerroot I don't have one myself but it sounds like a Chromebook would be the right thing for your Mum.

5Minions2CallMyOwn · 05/11/2021 13:28

Does anyone know off a code for Pet Drugs online by any chance please?

Kranz78 · 05/11/2021 13:34

Has anyone seen giftcards reduced? Something that would appeal to teenagers/tweens?

Thanks

Yoyoyo1 · 05/11/2021 13:39

Where could I get nice magic flannels from?

MulticolourTriangles · 05/11/2021 13:46

@Yoyoyo1 Not sure if they fit the bill but Wilko had LOL Doll, Frozen 2 and Paw Patrol flannels in store yesterday for £2 and I've seen Disney ones in Asda before too.

1stTimeMama · 05/11/2021 13:55

Thanks @Pawpawpaws, the one I was looking for is out of stock at the moment, but I'll definitely keep an eye out there.

aimslou · 05/11/2021 15:20

@WaitWhatOh

any referral codes for Joules out there? I did check the referral thread but couldnt see any. I have a basket of stuff and I refuse to not try every code going before I check out ! ;)
I have sent it to you Smile
Wonderfulstuff · 05/11/2021 15:44

@1stTimeMama

Thanks for the iPad advice *@neonleopard, @Whydidimarryhim & @YoungGiftedPlump*. He's happy to go up to £600, but I really don't think he needs to spend that much at all. I'm now looking at the Mini vs the iPad 9, the Mini is obviously more portable, but she's used to the larger size I suppose.
@1stTimeMama - I would suggest going fullsize if you can unless she's going to be popping it in her handbag. My Mum is an avid ipad game player and would never cope with mini sized screen.
