If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

@StopGoQuitStart

Thanks for the new thread.

Can anyone recommend wireless over ear headphones for a 8yr old - more for music and audio books than gaming.

On similar note any ideas on HOW dc can listen to music and audiobooks in their room but without screen ie I don’t want him having screen/internet access as like to limit/supervise this but would like him to feeely listen to books music whenever he chooses -when he wakes stupidly early on weekend I looked at yoto but they are expensive for me. DH suggested Alexa but not sure I like idea of that in his room and wasn’t sure that could be used with headphones? Amazon Kids+ subscription could work though but not sure what they actually do book wise.
Sorry to be a pain but I’m struggling with tech these days. I remember feeling I was bees knees when I got a personal cassette player so clearly old Confused

Have you looked at a YOTO player at all? We have one for our 4 year old but they're not that 'childish' and I think do some books for older kids too. Might be worth a look. However I would say we have an Alexa in the girls room and it is great so I would be tempted to go for that

@Silversilverstreet

Penhaligons are offering 2 free perfume samples with free postage for today only with the code SAMPLESLOVE.

They would be useful in an Advent Calendar or as a stocking fillers if you don’t want to use them yourself.

I don’t know if you can choose the fragrances as my link took me through the “Fragrance Profiler.”

I had trouble checking out with my order valued at £0. PayPal gave me an error message. I then opted to give my debit card details, and was able to check out that way. My order confirmation says that the charge was £0 so I’ll trust that’s all it will be,

Some of the Gift Sets are good value, eg there are two body and hand wash, and lotion sets for £46 instead of £80.

The Penhaligon's website gave us all the heebies last year too, it's a bloody nightmare, but great bargains once you get it to behave!

Joe&Sephs have sent me a code for 10% off the Christmas range XMASISCOMING10 they say in the email the popcorn will stay fresh beyond Christmas.

ImNotReallyHere · 01/11/2021 13:18

I agree with @RJnomore1
I would avoid the James Charles Morphe palette unless you know the recipient likes him.
He lost a lot of followers recently and my DD won't wear her hoody anymore (part of his range of merch)

5Minions2CallMyOwn · 01/11/2021 13:26

@LittleMissA

Character.com have a flash sale between 11am-2pm today, 40 % off all full price items using code XMASREADY. My DD will love the friends onesie!!

Hope the Rainbow Husky down to £33.99 on Amazon

DockOTheBay · 01/11/2021 13:33

Some good discounts PLUS vouchers for lego on Amazon today. The hogwarts Castle seems like a particularly good buy but I have not looked how much it is elsewhere.

@Ourlady Thanks for posting about the bltouch. I've not heard of it before, but I'm going to look into it Smile Anything that makes bed levelling easier, is a win win in my book.

On another note, I went RL shopping today in the mall. Have to say I was very disappointed. Hardly anything in my Primark (I even had to double loop, incase I walked passed it all) Even B&M I thought was very poor. (Not sure if it's just my area (Sussex) but we seem very behind in Christmas stuff down here.)

Amazing! I've been trying to find Spirit character things for my daughters at reasonable prices, and now I'm sorted 😁
TreaslakeandBack · 01/11/2021 13:59

I love the graphics, but I'd like it even better if it would let me get past the checkout page!

I know I'm a few years late to this party, but can we talk hoverboards?! I have an 8yo autistic DD who keeps asking for some kind of ride on toy which obviously she is far too big for, so we thought a hoverboard may be a good alternative? We don't have a lot of room or a great outdoor space but think she'll enjoy pootling around the lounge on one (definitely NO room for the go kart attachment). Good idea or really awful?? Any recommendations or ones to avoid? Thanks all.

I am so behind this year. Work is so manic i cannot keep up with these threads and have missed about 10!

@recklessgran if the £5 off £25 matalan code is available can i have it please? I’ve been looking for a code for there.

recklessgran · 01/11/2021 14:35

@Clementine8 I'll pm you the code now.

2319inprogress · 01/11/2021 14:39

VeruccaSalty mine are Lego mad & think these books are the best for ideas/inspiration

Lego tape is fun especially for displaying mini figs.

Bunnyvenom · 01/11/2021 14:41

I really must stay off this thread now as I’m pretty much done but I can’t say no to a bargain Grin
All I need is a second hand baby flurry heart from my little pony. The dog has chewed ours and I really don’t want to have to shell out for the set it came in again. I’ll be stalking eBay over the coming weeks.
