If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Thank you all for the make-up recommendations.

Lots of great ideas. Now feeling neutral is the way to go and keeping it simple. Palettes look lovely but a small one is all that is needed. I always feel like a kid in a sweet shop when I see them and then I remember I only ever use black, grey, lilac and white.

So after all the great Lego discounts, now my son finally writes down his request which is also the only HP set not reduced at Argos. Chamber of Secrets set reduced anyone?! If anyone else is looking for HP Lego, Argos 20% off seems to be best.

Can anyone help.... I need a present for my brother in law and his girlfriend.... Budget approx £150. I don't know her at all but he is into wine and craft beer. Thinking a quirky night away or an experience of some type... We live in Essex so something London, south east based... I am at a loss :(

psuedocream3 · 04/11/2021 12:45

@Jessiegirl How about a virgin experience voucher, doesn't really mater what you choose as the recipient can exchange the experience to the same value for any other experience.

Ourlady · 04/11/2021 12:52

Oh heck, crazy link going on there.

Namechangesagain · 04/11/2021 13:00

@Crapbags they've only posted 4 times on facebook since December last year and their Facebook page has everything in $$ so if its not a scam website its definitely cheap crap from China

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 04/11/2021 13:04

I don't suppose anyone has seen any discounts on Chilly bottles have they, or know if they have done black Friday deals in the past?
I know other brands are available that are just as good, but I love the Chilly packaging as it makes it more of a gift if you see what I mean.

@mummymilkfloat

www.aldi.co.uk/6v-ride-on-fire-engine/p/706804530653101

I got my 3 year old this ride on fire engine from Aldi last Christmas when he asked Father Christmas for a “big fire engine” and it has been amazing, gets ridden most days round the house or on the drive. They also have ambulance and police cars, they’re £35 and it was such a wow present when we came down on Christmas morning, can definitely recommend!

Sorry @mummymilkfloat can I quiz your brain on this?

My DD, who will have just turned 4 at xmas, is desperate for a police motor bike but wants a foot to floor one which is sold out. So I'm looking at the Aldi one and wondered do they have to use the motor or can they scoot themselves along with their feet ? And finally, she's small for her age but do you see your 3yo still fitting on it when they've turned 4? Thanks so much for your help! Flowers

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 04/11/2021 13:08

@Methenyouplus4 no great joy on your Robles slipper hunt, but you could have some made for him if you're really desperate? This seller in Etsy will add a picture or quote to basic Velcro slippers... maybe with a bit more searching you can find something like this to fit the bill?

Good luck!

@Namechangesagain

Thank you, good to know think I’ll avoid.

weebarra · 04/11/2021 13:13

Scottish Fine Soaps (love their stuff and they're a small employer in an area with not many opportunities) have 10% off with HEYTHERE10

Crapbags · 04/11/2021 13:18

Sorry couldn’t get the clicky link to work🥴 but these were on my Amazon today with a voucher for 40% off which brought the price down to £23.99

1stTimeMama · 04/11/2021 13:20

@user1466167893 I got my daughter that set from Amazon, it was reduced, and had one of the extra money off vouchers to apply so got it for £82 I think, I then went for the pay in 5 instalments option, so it's far more affordable.And frees up extra money for everyone else's gifts!

Lovemusic33 · 04/11/2021 13:22

@sycamorescrumptious

Please could someone explain the fire sticks to me? I just don't understand them!

Do they need to be linked to prime or have a subscription cost? Or is it a one off purchase? And what do they give you?

I don't understand technology Blush but feel like these could be useful for kids rooms maybe?

I don’t think you need to have prime, it gives you access now tv, iplayer, ITV hub etc.. but you have to pay extra for things like Disney +. Dd has a now tv stick but we have had issues with the controller and she’s asked to replace with the fire stick as it has more in it, she’s going to pay the extra for Disney + (I don’t think it’s a huge amount).
mummymilkfloat · 04/11/2021 13:26

@Wonderfulstuff my tall 6 year old can ride it so I think size wise it would be completely fine. Sometimes they both go on it at the same time, I’m impressed with the strength of it!!
They can push themselves along with their feet on a smooth floor but it’s quite hard work.
Hope that helps!

@Tightsonmyboat I don't suppose you know if the speed track would also do for marble races? My ASD DS8 loves racing marbles on various things and this looks ace, but not sure if it's too shallow a channel to keep the marble in place? No worries if your little guy hasn't tested this out 😂

We do have many and varied marble runs (multiple galt sets and add ons, gravitrax, gravity maze) but those all require quite a bit of set up and sometimes he's just looking for a quicker way to race them

DockOTheBay · 04/11/2021 13:36

@thaegumathteth I can't see a private message RE squishmallows and have tried to send you one in return, I don't know if you're still interested?

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts will take a picture of the channels and try upload it for you to look at. They're not hugely deep but may still work.

@oatmilkisntsobad. Thank you for your reply. I think these were personalised ones as I remember some posts about defects and replacements etc.
if I get some time later, I might search back through the threads from last year.
We are away this year so the morning will look a bit different. Presents in a sack will be ideal for containment 😂

Thanks @Tightsonmyboat -I think we're going to give it a go! He's a bit tricky to buy for as doesn't like/play with typical toys, so we're always thinking outside the box. Particularly like how simple it will be to get out and put away!!
