If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

Any ideas for my 14 year old niece? She's sporty and generally pretty cool (skateboarding etc) I'm a bit stumped... TIA 😊

ThePurpleGirl · 03/11/2021 18:29

Not a deal but I know these have been popular in previous years: Aldi have their Christmas hot chocolate bombes in store now. £1.25 for a milk chocolate snowman or penguin (which looked more like a Robin to me) or white chocolate unicorn. These have marshmallows and chocolate buttons inside. I think it was £1.99 for traditional bombes in either salted caramel or milk chocolate, again with marshmallows inside.

Vans tshirt. Very cool amongst that lot (ie my DS and his mates). There was a Vans code mentioned previously.
thaegumathteth · 03/11/2021 18:30

@Bicnod Starbucks or primark voucher?

Apologies if it's already been posted but Ticket to Ride London is down to £15 at Amazon.

stressbucket1 · 03/11/2021 18:36

@Scrambledbeans what about a camera? The Vtech kidizoom ones are good and they have a new one that also prints photos.
Other things my DD's like are a marble runs and domino rally.
They have Garmin vivofit fitness trackers that they like too, they link to an app to play games and earn stars by doing chores if she needs encouragement with anything.
Another idea could be a kids echo alexa, could be used to play music or listen to stories

Ck91 · 03/11/2021 18:39

@MarshmallowsOnToast Argos have dropped the prices since yesterday. I’m considering the STR 7. It’s dropped by £25, but I’m thinking of waiting to see if there’s any codes to make it even cheaper.

Feeling quite Christmassy today, Did some wrapping of gifts to be posted and DD put Heart XMAS on in the car this morning

Was someone looking for the wooden peppa pig house? Sorry if been mentioned already, just seen it for £69.99 online at ALDI

MADASANOWL · 03/11/2021 18:42

Has anyone got any sports direct promo codes? The offer they are advertising is only for click and collect yet it isn't an option when I go to check out!

@Scrambledbeans

Thanks so much for all your suggestions. Some things she already has (scooter) and other suggestions don’t seem quite right.

I feel embarrassed to say that I’m not sure what she does like..that is to say, not sure what she likes that will capture more than a fleeting interest. She seems to like quite a lot of things but nothing that she would play with repeatedly or a specific interest?

I have some craft kits etc and books for her as they are quite targeted, but everything seems to have moved on for her age group and I’m not sure what to go to next!

Chair, beanbag, den?

Glad you found it interesting. PM me if you want me to email you the £5 off offer

WisestIsShe · 03/11/2021 19:01

Thanks for all of the bauble suggestions. Amazon will be a last resort, I was hoping for plain but really nice quality iykwim. I want them to be something beautiful the parents treasure.

GeronimosDisco · 03/11/2021 19:05

@DrsDocDocMartens thank you for the PlutoPress spot. Found the perfect book for my mum.

Trying to keep up with the thread but it moves so fast.
I have quite a few to buy for and am looking for gifts for…

18 month old boy
2.5 year old boy
5 year old girl
7 year old boy

£10 ish each and ideally something that’s not plastic tat (trying to think of the environment) but not books as I bought books last year and they all have way too many.

noscoobydoodle · 03/11/2021 19:22

@Scrambledbeans- some random suggestions that have been a bit with mine at that kind of age: teeterpopper/wobbleboard, an electric keyboard (and headphones!), Slime making kit (some good offers on elmers from WHSmith or so slime DIY have big impressive looking sets and are much easier to make), baking set, magnatiles/magformers.

Notlongnow1 · 03/11/2021 19:26

@scrambledbeans what about a Wobbel board or Wobbel360

There are such lovely wooden toys in Aldi!! There are pull along toys, little wooden cakes in slices, a doctor's office (a bit more expensive), "toolbelts" for a dentist, a DIY tool belt, a wooden Nativity set, Noah's ark, etc

@Arthien

Apologies if it's already been mentioned but Whistlefish has a flash sale on until the end of this week, with up to half price on some lovely gift ideas.

There are also some really nice jute bags in the offer - not the Christmas ones unfortunately, but still potentially suitable as reusable gift bags.

Thanks @Arthien My DM and MIL both love Whistlefish!
AuntLucy · 03/11/2021 19:35

@Arthien thank for the the tipoff ref Whistlefish - just put in my annual order for their cards and jute bags 😁

BabyClam · 03/11/2021 19:37

@yeknom
This is brilliant for carrying hot wheels around and launching two together (for endless heats to find the fastest), and only £13 at amazon. Sometimes goes lower.
