Thank you @Notlongnow1

Sorry, I’ve been working and just catching up. Shall we put our slippers on and stay here since it’s over 100 messages in?

Wonder what the Aldi Black Friday deals will be this year. I'm going to try for a big Lego if there is one.

My Roomba from last year has been the best thing ever!

@Trumpton ah that's the company we got our granddaughters Cape from for her 3rd birthday, she's 5 now and still loves it, fab quality fab ladies who make them, it still looks great despite numerous washes. Can't recommend them enough.

MSE email just came through. Hot Diamonds have 40% off with code MSE40 and free delivery with code JEWELS. I bought from there recently and it's lovely stuff, comes beautifully packaged and no problems with delivery.

Someone asked about unusual games - I think this card game called Ecologies might be, and it's beautiful. Not a bargain at this price but might be available elsewhere for less. I found on Etsy for less but expensive postage.

@Reastie no problem! Can't believe how fast the threads are moving this year already. Not that I'm complaining - loving the Christmas excitement 😄

Just caved and brought the Elf on the shelf foaming bath snow, the avengers bath blast (6 bath bomb set) and no 7 mens stocking set on the 3 for 2 deal at boots. I think the Elf on the shelf stuff will sell out quick so went for it now. Pretty pleased for £10

Placemarking again (and watching through my fingers as I’m about 2/3 finished and trying not to impulse buy as my bank balance is giving me stern eyes due to this thread Grin)

Hello everyone. Thank you for the bargains so far - pens, sand, barbie campervan, farm book. Pretty sure there are more!

I wondered if you could help - DD has asked for the same toy as school (photo below) for Christmas. It has no branding, and I can’t find anything the same.

Does anyone recognise it? Thanks in advance!!

@withiceplease

Just thought I'd recommend Readly. I bought it last year for DH after recommendation on the 'difficult to buy for men' thread.
DH has really enjoyed reading the various mags about cars etc and in particular a wine magazine is on there that would cost a lot on its own. What impressed me was that it can be used on up to 5 devices 😳 DD also uses it and just with his wine mag and her teaching mag, the cost is covered for the year.

Ooh that sounds interesting! Could I buy a subscription for the family and everyone can access it on their devices with the same account?

Argh, not xmas, but I need a birthday present for a 7yo boy in a hurry. Usually spend up to around £25 but that's not set in stone.

Recipient doesn't know what he wants (not helpful!)
I need to avoid lego, playmobil, board/card games as they have tons of those already.
They've had loads of the science kits already so that's not a winner.
Child only has one hobby which they don't need anything for/linked to.
Don't want to give a voucher.

I'm really stuck! Has anyone's 7yo loved something in particular?

@TimeForTheChristmasTree it looks like the Schleich Bayala range from the colouring but can’t see a peacock type bird in the current range. Does it have any markings at all?
