@Countrydiary what’s your budget? I have a 13yr DNiece and she has recently been in to fairly teenage stuff like a Pandora ring, retro roller skates, anything urban outfitters (cool shop de hour) retro camera with film making comeback, anything ‘green’ to save the planet (Holland and Barratt do ethical gifts nearer Xmas) Chilly’s water bottles and Oddies

Thanks for the towels, looks like the promotion doesn't apply to all the colour sets, I got the first one. Also have a H&B update, my boxes arrived today delivered by Hermes.

Countrydiary I bought metallic water colour paints and a watercolour pad for my goddaughter who just turned 12, and it was very well received.

Does she like Lego? There's a few Harry Potter sets on offer at the moment.

I’m after a Lego Mos Eisley Cantina, selling for around £320, so if anybody sees a good deal on it please give me a shout!

Not getting too excited, but fingers crossed. And hopefully it'll be hot enough to need 8 cooling towels! 🤣

Countrydiary my DD is nearly 13 & still quite young for her age, some things she likes/is getting for Christmas are:

Fake oodie
Snuggle cushion
Tie dye kit
Gel nail starter kit with light etc
Calligraphy kit
Harry Potter lego
Friendship bracelet threads
Hula hoop
Books - she's just finished reading The Hunger Games series & loved it so would recommend that.

She also still likes barbies but only Made To Move ones (this is kept secret from her friends in case they tease her Sad .

I’m learning so much, how to post clicky links and how to make emojis wear Santa hats. Oh thank you all for cheering me up after a terrible day!

@HoHoLow I've also been wondering what's happened to the Sainsbury's 25% off clothes promo. They stopped it during covid so presuming they've stopped it completely

Thanks for the ideas @NaturalBlondeYeahRight @FireflyGirl @PhantomErik - definitely a few possibilities so will just look out for some bargains now!

On the hunt for a bargain fake Oodie, I took a punt on this from Amazon for an older teen. I know a lot of people considering the fakes so here’s what I thought.
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08KDMVF36/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?psc=1&ie=UTF8&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

Younger DD already has a Comfy, which is very thick and cosy and luxurious feeling (highly recommend if you can get good price).
The one from Amazon is good and DS will love it, especially the design. But from a review point of view, it’s a lot thinner than the comfy, the internal fluffy fleece isn’t as think or fluffy and the outer fleece just feels like fleece rather than velvety. Can tell it costs a lot less, but will do the job.

Does anybody that has ordered from Typo know if they deliver with Hermes?

(Had an email from Hermes saying something will be delivered to my actual address - from an actual Hermes email so no spam - but doesn’t tell me the retailer or a tracking number so haven’t the foggiest what it could be!)

I didn’t join in on the bun hype last year but crumbled this week - so impressed with the set for £3! Looks a lot more expensive

AnotherOne4 · 07/09/2021 19:51

@withiceplease - it was an unexpected (but great) bargain was isn't (the cooling towels)

@PeachTea1 - My buns were dispatched and supposed to arrive today, but for some unknown reason I've been told delivery has been delayed by two days Hmm
