@Countrydiary
Depending on your budget what about a telescope or monocular? Or a subscription to the week junior science & nature, or just the week junior.

Big Money board game £8.85 at Amazon.

Seems to be around £20 elsewhere and close to cheapest it's been according to the three camels

Just thought I'd recommend Readly. I bought it last year for DH after recommendation on the 'difficult to buy for men' thread.
DH has really enjoyed reading the various mags about cars etc and in particular a wine magazine is on there that would cost a lot on its own. What impressed me was that it can be used on up to 5 devices 😳 DD also uses it and just with his wine mag and her teaching mag, the cost is covered for the year.

Just wanted to say thanks for the Olive and Sage garden ornament recommendation, I got a lovely peacock for £19. It arrived with a slight scratch on it but the customer service person was really helpful in replacing it or offering an alternative. I know my MIL will love it!

I've also had an email to say they're now taking pre-orders for these gorgeous nutcracker figures

Thanks for all the ideas and bargains so far! So far from these threads I've bought glow in the dark blankets, Blockus x2, and cooling towels!

I keep missing the Lego vet reduction and the £1.50 pens so can you shout up if you see these again, pretty please! Must stop dithering over these things!
Also what was the bun deal, I can't find that one...?

@Scout2016

I am quite pleased with my willpower so far. Not shoping with amazon helps though!
Does anyone know if Yorkshire Soap Company ever do deals or codes? Equally if they are rubbish feel free to say, I am not a soap person.

I have placed an order for playmobil with Luna Skye and the chap who runs it has been helpful and communicative so fingers crossed it go OK. (And that my mother in law can find room to hide it.)

I placed a big order with them last Christmas and got a gorgeous gingerbread man soap free with it. I can definitely recommend their soaps and bath bombs/bubble bars. Will be ordering from them again this year, particularly the Yorkshire Lass hand soap for my mum and Nan who are both Yorkshire born.

Dd has asked for a Himalayan salt lamp for Xmas. I've tried to research them on google but I'm getting reports of them catching on fire or fakes. Obviously I'd like to get a bargain but I'm a bit suspicious of the cheapy ones on Amazon. Can anybody recommend a shop where they'll also be good quality or what to look out for?

My DS wants it, but with all the fights and arguments that my DC have I’m not sure he’s going to get one! Grin

@NeedMoreTea I saw Himalayan salt lamps at my local garden centre at the wkd. I didn't pay much attention to them, but maybe you could try your local. At least you'll get to see one, and the shape/size etc.
