The Lego ice cream truck is £8.00 on Amazon reduced from £17.99.
I put it in my basket last night when reduced to £10.

[quote Blueberryflavour]@MissCherryCakeyBun as you said he served in the RAF would he like something like contributing towards the fundraising to preserve a Vulcan aircraft. You can pay an amount to have a name engraved on the wings and the website says you get a certificate.

Would this be too old for a nearly 4 year old? He loves ice cream trucks! And ice cream (although won't actually eat it!)

Whilst I'm on the subject, has anyone any ice cream ideas for a nearly 4 year old please? Was thinking if the pink ice cream cart thing but it'll be too young for him I think.

There are some lovely different sylvanian family ice cream sets. @PinkDaydreams

Not sure what age the lego one is suitable for, it would probably be OK for a 4 year old.

@PinkDaydreams the Melissa and Doug ice cream set is fantastic for that age. Not a bargain but plenty of play value.

@MsMiaWallaceMia Thank you for the Ice cream truck tip, it's also been in my basket for a few days now. Granddaughter has an ice cream themed bedroom so she will love making this, it'll also look nice on display.

Lidl have the large pro aerobie discs for £7.99 which is a great price and a fun present for hard to buy for people.

@PinkDaydreams the mellisa&doug ice cream counter set has been a big hit with our granddaughter, as has the kinetic sand ice cream set. She's also been eyeing up the Our Generation ice cream truck for a while, but it's huge!

@PinkDaydreams I second (third) the M&D scoop and stack ice cream set. Little bit older that the cart one and easier to store away too. I also found a summer CBeebies magazine one year with plastic lollies which are used alongside it so check out the magazine aisle just in case any have similar. Aldi also has a colour in ice cream truck but not sure if I got this year or last year sorry - that’s been brilliant play value for my 5yr old who “writes” menus and uses pretend money to sell her ice creams all summer. Try aldi and hobbycraft for similar one. I would go for the Lego at that price. They might not be into building it themselves but they’d probably enjoy using as a wee vehicle for now and then get the building joy later. It’s a great wee lego set.

@PinkDaydreams I bought the ice cream truck for just turned 4yo DS last year and split the set up to put in his advent calendar so he only had to do a few pages of the instructions a day and he managed it. £8 is a bargain too.

Holland and Barrett advent calendar is now available. I couldn’t get the 20% new customer code to work on it but can get 15% off on the app (new customer only I think) using code WELCOME15

@clpsmum I’m so sorry your Dad died. You’ve just inspired me to do the same, as my Dad would also be so proud to support Vulcan restoration. Thanks ❤️

I'm so glad someone recommended the Vulcan name plaques: I was going to. I gave it as a gift for my grandma last year in her late dad's name and she was over the moon. The certificate is proudly displayed next to a photograph of the planes he flew. It's a lovely sentimental gift.

L'occitane advent calendars have been released and are on for the reduced price (are they ever full price). Any blue light folk can get an additional free gift (apologies to others but those codes can't be shared).
Everyone can also add a nice little gift bag for £12 which would make a nice gift for someone
