Poor deprived DD aged 3 asked for Juice on Christmas Eve. Queue me risking to the shop to buy a carton of juice and wrapping it when she’s gone to bed.

It was totally worth it, her face in the morning was pure happiness “Santa brought me juice!”.

So what’s the strangest or simplest thing that your DC have asked for?

A wind up pink mouse.

Forever recorded by her nursery teacher in her progress book.

She even drew a picture. It looks like a tampon.

@DominicRaabsTravelAgent that is so cute.

A chopstick. Just one. She wasn’t able to explain why but was thrilled nonetheless when it appeared in her stocking.

Belfastbird · 03/09/2021 22:04

A fresh pineapple- she now gets one every year!

Voiceofreason92 · 03/09/2021 22:04

My son (age 4) last year asked for
Brussel Sprouts.
We were all sat around one evening discussing how gross they were and how, in our house, we only buy them at Christmas. He then said, well i don't think ive ever had them so i’ll ask Father Christmas for them.

Youvegotafriendinme · 03/09/2021 22:08

Chocolate cereal. I won’t buy it normally but he decided if he asked Santa he might have a chance of getting some. I found small boxes of coco pops so put it in his stocking. He was over the moon. 2 mouthfuls in, he very quietly told us he didn’t like it.

enjoyingscience · 03/09/2021 22:09

My youngest asked for mango chutney. Got a jar in his stocking, he was absolutely over the moon. He was 4 or 5.

Malibukev · 03/09/2021 22:11

Oh gosh 2 year old DD yesterday asked for a spice rack for Christmas 😂

Keepitonthedownlow · 03/09/2021 22:11

5 year old DD has asked for some guttering?! She's obsessed with gutters and drainpipes in buildings at the moment...

Twizbe · 03/09/2021 22:12

This evening DS (4) asked for a handryer to be installed in our bathroom.

The boy is terrified of the things and refuses to go into most public toilets because of them. Yet at home makes pretend ones and makes loud handdryer noises all the time 🤷🏼‍♀️

MissCherryCakeyBun · 03/09/2021 22:12

My very nearly 4yr old asked Father Christmas at the school fair for a ham and cheese sandwich when he asked what she wanted for Christmas 🎅🏻 GrinGrinGrin
How he kept a straight face I do not know..,,and yes she got a ham and cheese sandwich in a new lunchbox on Christmas morning Wink
She's 30 in January and I won't let her forget it Grin

Aquamarine1029 · 03/09/2021 22:12

Smoked oysters when my son was three.

Callcat · 03/09/2021 22:12

Mine get blue tack in their sticking every year. I have no idea how this started but its a much looked forward to a cherished tradition now. The festive annual blue tack restock 😂

Callcat · 03/09/2021 22:13

*stocking. Although it could be a sticking with all that adhesive tack 😂

ademanlu · 03/09/2021 22:13

A potato and a plunger (both the same year - I have still no idea why especially the potato as we eat them regularly!)

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 03/09/2021 22:15

Toy numbers. She was two.

We guessed at magnetic numbers and she loved them.

Cherryrainbow · 03/09/2021 22:15

Cheese.

Definitely my child lol

spagbog5 · 03/09/2021 22:16

10 live boys and 10 live girls to be pupils in her classroom when she was obsessed with playing schools Confused

GameSetMatch · 03/09/2021 22:22

Socks, we can thank Pappa pig for the ease of that gift! The Father Christmas we visited thought it was hilarious 😂

KillerFlamingo · 03/09/2021 22:22

My DC asked for "trousers" last year. Not specific trousers which I could understand but just trousers.
Like we don't buy the poor, deprived little thing any normally and just leave him in his pants.. Hmm

speak2me · 03/09/2021 22:26

Cheese also here too! I think he was 3 or 4 at the time. He's mentioned it again this year (will be 9yo) but has requested Wensleydale!

Hahaha Maybe she means something like this, they may have it at school. If you have a fence or wall in your garden you can nail guttering on to it to make a great ball run or water run.
