Poor deprived DD aged 3 asked for Juice on Christmas Eve. Queue me risking to the shop to buy a carton of juice and wrapping it when she’s gone to bed.

It was totally worth it, her face in the morning was pure happiness “Santa brought me juice!”.

So what’s the strangest or simplest thing that your DC have asked for?

A mole “like in the movies”. Took me weeks to work out she actually meant a mall, as in the shopping variety 😂 😂

My daughter requested a Poor Little Jim from Father Christmas. Gentle probing left us none the wiser, and she announced that the man himself would know what she wanted so it didn't matter that I didn't know who Jim was. It was only after she added the magic words 'from Ronco' (it was a long time ago...) that I worked it out. Poor Little Jim was actually a portable gym aka a device that hooked under a door to aid sit-ups.

A clipboard 🤷

cissyandbessy · 04/09/2021 22:20

My 4 yr old DD asked for green hoover one year. Awkward and random - they were obv all pink and purple. She was delighted though on Xmas morning with the bodge of a custom job I did on it.

@Firstbornunicorn

My DS is two and this is the first year he’s had enough speech to communicate a request to us. I know it’s early, but he found a few books about Santa in our book pile, and now it’s on his mind. He’d like a motorbike and a baby sister.

Not sure I can oblige on the first, but his baby sister is due on the 26th!

That’s so sweet … Congratulations on your baby girl … No pressure to deliver a day earlier 🤣 Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy xx

It would be lovely if you managed to come back with an update.

NotThatSocial · 04/09/2021 22:39

When they were 3 and 6 they both asked for electric toothbrushes.
DS (now 8) has already told me he'd like a chef's knife this year.

delilahbucket · 04/09/2021 22:41

Chocolate cake, requested by three year old ds. Which he didn't eat any of 🙄

BeforeLight · 04/09/2021 22:45

2yo DD wanted calpol and raisins for Xmas. Wish it was that straightforward 12 years on!

HerRoyalRisesAgain · 04/09/2021 23:03

DS1 asked for a baby sister.
She was born a week before Christmas. He was very pleased until she was a couple of months old when he decided a brother would have been better.

He now has a brother too (although not fir Christmas)

ForgedInFire · 04/09/2021 23:12

A couple of years ago my (then) DD4 requested a watermelon. She was over the moon with it

LegArmpits · 05/09/2021 00:14

DD age 3 - envelopes.
DS was very specific age 4.
"A diary with a lock on it and planets."
Actually found one, he barely looked at it.
"A light up clock that changes colours."
I found one, he said 'What is it?'

Eldest son when age 3 wanted a "personal loan" or "something from Hastings, 0800 00 1066." 🤣🤣

Silkiescatz · 05/09/2021 00:20

Ds wanted a tin of spaghetti.

For every birthday when younger he would ask for a giant chocolate cake and no guests except Mummy at my birthday party as I do not want to share my cake apart from with you.

Also coal, which he found hilarious, to ask for. Confused

daisydalrymple · 05/09/2021 00:57

Ds1 asked me to bring a dinosaur back to life… I love how much faith he had in my abilities!?! He got a sponsored Polar bear through WWF instead Grin

CoffeeAndDryShampoo · 05/09/2021 11:12

@Chaosandmadness Grin

Chocolatepumpkin · 05/09/2021 11:23

Last year my son requested a yumnut from m&s, it was a lot more appreciated than most of the more expensive presents too! 🙄😂

CeeceeBloomingdale · 05/09/2021 11:27

Not for Christmas but my youngest once declared she was saving up for a shoe horn

thetesdybears · 05/09/2021 11:30

When she was 3 she asked for a Santa baby doll. I was like 😳 a what. She also asked for lots of other toys that she was desperate for and hardly looked at 🙄

FairFuming · 05/09/2021 12:17

My DD asked for Santa to take her little brother home with him 😆

Sn0tnose · 05/09/2021 18:01

Christmas Pudding Pants have been asked for this year by my 4 year old. God knows where they are doing to come from!

If you get desperate, find someone locally who personalises clothes (pyjamas etc) with a Cricut. They’ll be able to find a Christmas pudding svg and put it on pants for you.

Marmelace · 05/09/2021 18:08

A t-shirt with a cat and flowers on when he was 5, must admit I was a bit stumped. So I took a photo of my cat next to a vase of flowers and got it printed on a t-shirt, he was made up Christmas morning.

PaulineScrambledPhones · 05/09/2021 18:53

My DD aged 6 has asked for a pair of crutches, a gum shield and a kiss.

Toomanyradishes · 05/09/2021 20:13

@Hoppinggreen I actually know where you can buy a single porcupine quill from, its probably far too late now but if you ever fancy a jpke present for the person who asked for it

Hoppinggreen · 05/09/2021 20:17

Thank you
It’s a few years too late now but I appreciate the thought

HumbugWhale · 05/09/2021 20:20

Pickled onions was an odd request last year but ds aged 4 has told me today that for Christmas this year he would like a level crossing. He has one in his train set already but apparently he wants a real one. I'm hoping he will forget by December Grin

Backhometothenorth · 05/09/2021 20:25

A spider and 6 fairy cakes. For her birthday, a shark and pasta so a bit of a pattern there.
