Poor deprived DD aged 3 asked for Juice on Christmas Eve. Queue me risking to the shop to buy a carton of juice and wrapping it when she’s gone to bed.

It was totally worth it, her face in the morning was pure happiness “Santa brought me juice!”.

So what’s the strangest or simplest thing that your DC have asked for?

"The white cat on the telly"

Took us ages to get to the bottom of it, but it turned out he wanted to adopt a snow leopard.

PaperclipsConfused........ He said there wasn't anything he needed but he liked playing with paperclips, I got him a big pack of mixed coloured ones, think he's still using them and he's 30!!!

PumpkinKlNG · 03/09/2021 22:36

A magic wand but Santa never got him one so now he knows he isn’t real (my sons own words 🤷‍♀️)

gogohm · 03/09/2021 22:41

Marshmallows, dd was about 5, they also asked jointly for a goat one year, this was most confusing to me because we don't live on a farm, until one of them produced a leaflet they had from school - they had a talk from Send a Cow. Anyway we bought a goat for a family in Africa (they still got some presents though)

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 03/09/2021 22:41

A grappling hook. I'm not sure she (or I) really knows what it is.

AlexandraEiffel · 03/09/2021 22:45

Tomato juice 🤷🏼‍♀️

Aimee1987 · 03/09/2021 22:45

My friends daughter, 4 at the time, asked for a road. Just that a road, her parents had no idea what she wanted.
They got her one of the road mats and she was happy 😂

Glitterbaby17 · 03/09/2021 22:45

Lots of passion fruit when she was 3. Done 🤣

Itwasgoodwhileitlasted · 03/09/2021 22:47

Sliced chicken. Wrapped and left in the fridge by Santa

TwinsandTrifle · 03/09/2021 22:57

3 or perhaps 4 year old DS asked for "a teacup and a worm"

Toy slinky worm inside mug with his initial on.

Absolutely made up.

TheGrassIsGreenerish · 03/09/2021 23:00

Cartons of long life soy milk. Was so excited to get them too.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 03/09/2021 23:03

every year my son would ask for 'pants, colouring pencils and his ranbow bath' he never asked for anything else. rainbow bath by the way was lush bubble bars that were the only way i could get him in the bath because they made the water coloured!! (he is autistic as it happens, not just an especially grubby child) hes 17 now and asks for much more now lol

CovIneedanamechange · 03/09/2021 23:05

A squashy, pretend potato.
Did track one down eventually and dc was made up!

Jumpingintosummer · 03/09/2021 23:05

A ‘nail file lady voucher’ from DD age 3. She had seen me buy DSis a manicure voucher and asked to have her nails done, I said she was too young. Santa dutifully got her a voucher and the nail lady fixed her up with boots kids polish and a hand massage!

Boofoof · 03/09/2021 23:08

I remember my little sister asking for "duck shoes" one year when she was about 3. She meant that she wanted new wellies as we always wore them when we went to the park to feed the ducks!

Lollypop701 · 03/09/2021 23:14

All the zoo animals to keep in their pockets. they got tiny wooden ones which santa shrunk especially in their stocking

JungleMama · 03/09/2021 23:17

My preschooler wants garden loppers after seeing our neighbour's in action 😂

That is beyond adorable 🥺

When we went to see Father Christmas my daughter (then around 5) asked randomly for butterfly socks. Definitely wasn't on her list before we went! Luckily I found some in Asda!

PurpleFadesToGreen · 03/09/2021 23:24

Fennel seeds.

The brightly coloured sugar coated ones.

DC had had them after his first Indian meal in a restaurant.

I managed to find a not too large a pack for his stocking.

Bluenotgreenmilk · 03/09/2021 23:26

A deep fat fryer and potatoes to go with it (aged 19)
A baby sister-aged 5 (no chance)
A bunny rabbit pet on a lead (aged 6-I found one)
Chocolate coins (my brother-aged 30)

DelurkingAJ · 03/09/2021 23:29

Envelopes. DS2 last Xmas, aged 4. Plain envelopes. Bonkers child. He became quite the correspondent during lockdown…

PumpkinKlNG · 03/09/2021 23:30

My son asked for a deep fat fryer last year but he is 9 not 19!😂 thought it was so weird

TuckMyWin · 03/09/2021 23:35

This is totally outing, but wtf. Cerberus, the three headed dog. Never have I been so grateful for the existence of Harry Potter.

NoWordForFluffy · 03/09/2021 23:37

When DD was 3 she asked for paints and a hug! (Which made it sound like she was never hugged! 😭😭)
