Hi,
Due to Brexit things are a bit trickier with ordering online from UK. Not like the good old days!
Thought it a good idea to start one so we don't clog up the other thread with what can and can't be delivered to ROI and what deals we can avail of.
If anyone has any deals they spot in ROI either.

Currently adidas have 35% off if you have Revolut. I ordered bits and it worked perfectly. Free delivery also which also makes me happy!

@ShoppingBasket Hi thanks for setting up the thread, is that on the adidas.ie site ? I can't see an option to pay by revolut.

Dancingonmoonlight · 23/08/2021 01:38

Order from Amazon.DE instead of Amazon UK.

I have done so myself and it worked out great.

Many clothing companies have an EU website. My browser seems to select the UK by default but a quick google with EU at the end will bring you to their site. Price in euro, free shipping over a certain amount and no additional tax and much faster than ordering from the UK. I have bought from Boden and Anthropologie recently and its been far easier to use the EU sites.

ShoppingBasket · 23/08/2021 03:07

@whatwillicallmyself, on the Revolut app there is rewards. Found on main menu. You have to click through from revolut, it asks you to download the adidas app. Just make sure you click through from revolut and use your revolut card to pay.

The rewards are great and cashback works also. Sometimes they have jd sports on it.

@Dancingonmoonlight thanks for that will try. I've been cautious about ordering because I've seen a few people get stung when things have been delivered. Good to know what sites aren't. Some people on other thread were saying they can't get certain things like the velvetiser from Amazon.

Thanks for starting this, I'm hoping I can add some tips but have already educated DH about Adidas (he has revolut but I don't, and teen DD is a fan of Adidas !!)

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 23/08/2021 08:15

Great thanks for starting this thread OP.
Nothing to add at the minute but will come back if I find something Smile

ShoppingBasket · 23/08/2021 09:12

@BiddyPop get thee a Revolut card. I love mine. I've just ordered from Adidas again, got 3 shorts and tshirt for 42 euro - should have been around 65euro. They also have an offer running for a little while without revolut for 30% off use EXTRA30

@Coffeeanddarkchoc keep an eye out and bring back the goods!

Thanks for the thread - great idea.

I have revolut but didn’t know about rewards.

@BiddyPop if your dh has revolut I think he can refer you and after three spends you both get €10 (or maybe €20?? I can’t remember). My dh referred me and for the first time in our marriage was telling me to buy more 😂

thelegohooverer · 23/08/2021 09:31

If your phone is on the 3 network make sure you download the app. Various offers like 15%off at Elverys and Easons.

I presume there are similar apps for other networks too (spoken like a tech dinosaur)

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 23/08/2021 09:51

Wish I knew of the adidas offer before I bought all the back to school stuff 😂

Must get DP to download the 3 app. Ds7 has a list of about 20 books he wants for xmas. Managed to get some with a couple of euro off in easons already but 15% off would be good.

@thelegohooverer Im a 31 year old tech dinosaur too, youre in good company Grin

MrsPumpkinSeed · 23/08/2021 09:57

Thanks so much for this.

MrsPumpkinSeed · 23/08/2021 10:00

I have ordered a lot from H&M - beautiful soft toys and smyths but no offers as such.
Our local tesco had good toy offers over the summer so I have a great stash.

Coffeeanddarkchoc · 24/08/2021 10:12

Just spotted that boots have €12 Tuesday - a couple of bits reduced to €12 today. Theres a few nice makeup bits and a teeth whitening kit. Nice stocking fillers.

Also just grabbed a couple of books in the 2 for £7 offer from amazon for DS. We've been paying €15 in a bookshop here for 'Dog man' and 'Storey treehouse books' so on amazon im getting 2 for about €10 rather than 2 for €30.

Carrie76 · 24/08/2021 11:56

@ShoppingBasket thanks for the thread! I can’t get the Revolut adidas discount to come off, it says input promo code but there isn’t a code to put in?
Two Oodies for €99 here oodie

ShoppingBasket · 24/08/2021 12:11

@MrsPumpkinSeed love H&M.

Thanks coffee, I'm about to purchase a teeth whitening kit...for myself...Hmm
So far anything I've bought has been for me Grin

@Carrie76
It took me awhile to figure out yesterday as they have changed it. When u click on to the reward on revolut where it says copy and redeem or something, it actually copies your code then. So at checkout when u press paste into the discount code box it should have the code from revolut. Let me know if it doesn't work and I'll try explain better Wink

@ShoppingBasket thanks that worked!

leakymcleakleak · 24/08/2021 12:28

Thanks so much for starting this thread, have spent ages on the bargain thread and literally everything I got excited about it turned out wasn't available here/the shipping was extortionate. I'm still bitter about the half hour I wasted filling a basket in Rex London of perfect gifts.

Expecting a baby end of November, all our nieces/nephews/godchildren have birthdays October - December and I really really want to get shopping done early and cheaply and am really feeling Brexit. I just don't have the language skills to navigate European toy websites.

On that note though: does anyone know if there are any good European sites, aside from amazon? (I prefer to avoid amazon in general though I'm not going to be as rigid this year)

I need to buy for 3, 4, 6, 9,10 and 12 year olds, most x 2 due to birthday and Christmas and I'd love to really reduce my spend per head this year while still getting fun things. Rex London had such good things, would love somewhere I could get quirky bits that wouldn't make it look obvious I was trying to cut costs a bit this year...

thelegohooverer · 24/08/2021 12:53

Arnotts are offering a sustainable beauty bag of products worth €130 with a spend on beauty of €195. Out of my price range but might be useful to someone.

There’s 20% off at Trespass with FLASH20. I just got ds’ a new coat for school.

ShoppingBasket · 24/08/2021 13:16

Is there much difference between the oodie and the dunnes stores one for €20? Other than colourful designs. I was interested in the dunnes one but maybe the oodie is better?

@leakymcleakleak congrats, a nice time to have a baby! That was me many years ago.

Great idea for a thread! Nike have 25% all stock with code BTS21. I always ask for Nike runners for Xmas!

B84101 · 24/08/2021 23:39

Loving this thread!!

Here is another website I use to order bits, it does have some lovely items in their outlet online.

Here is an example of Christmas bath bombs, its free shipping and taxes once you spend 30 euro

Again here is another website that has Xmas clearance, for stocking fillers etc

Thunderface · 24/08/2021 23:43

Zalando is useful for clothes shopping. Free returns and when I returned an item they refunded the €3 I had paid for delivery too.

HoldMeCloserTonyDanza · 24/08/2021 23:44

Thought this thread would be swapping recipes for spiced beef Wink
