@jumpingintosummer thanks for the inspiration for the thread title, I’m now singing ‘return of the buns’ to the tune of ‘return of the Mac’

Thought I’d do a ‘how to’ for a couple of things people often post about not being sure of

To do click links you do this put link in here then a space then the name or phrase you want to go with the link . Don’t put a space between the start of the link or the last word next to the like I have or it won’t work but I had to to demonstrate.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

To follow the thread without using up a post to mark place you can click on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first post.

No affiliate links please.

Referral thread here to use for if you’re posting your personal referral link to others.

Second message has a few links and info which I’ll slowly build up, let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to add to it Thanks

Great, I won’t clog up their inbox by checking they got the order then. Never mind waiting for delivery from smaller companies!

Maharajah20 · 18/08/2021 11:14

@frogface69

Eeek. I can’t do links but the carrot cake traybake kits are on. £2.30 for 4 packs
Where?? Thank you! 😊
Maharajah20 · 18/08/2021 11:19

Toni and Guy wideplate straighteners on offer for £29.99.
Excellent straighteners. My daughter has long, thick hair and loves these. We have had the GHDs and other expensive ones but these are the best. I love them as they are nice and wide and quick to use. Long cord as well. Excellent reviews.

@Maharajah20 I was wondering that too, and can only find this (4 packs for £2.50 when you place a Morrisons delivery via Amazon)

Had completely forgotten about the dino tshirts! Thank you for the reminder and good to know they're quality when they do arrive

superstar84 · 18/08/2021 12:36

Would anyone recommend the Lego city train set?

It's for ds who is 9, he really enjoys building things and trains

I've seen on the amazon price tracker that it might go below £71 and wondered if it was a good set

Thank you!
Sadly no Morrisons delivery in my area.

Any playmobile deals ideally animals zoo farm for a 3 year old. Would be greatly appreciated.

Beakerandbungle · 18/08/2021 13:15

@Reastie - that’s funny. I actually found the neom Christmas wish oil a bit disappointing ( despite really liking the candle) but thought it was just me!

TryingtobePrepared · 18/08/2021 13:21

@NoWordForFluffy

Have many people gone for the Turtle Dove seconds, lucky dip, option? They're quite the bargain, if they aren't too bad in relation to the defect.
I got 2 pairs of the seconds craft kit fingerless gloves, last year. They come with a little star sticker on the fault. On one pair i have no idea what the fault was, i couldn't see it at all, on the other i could but wouldn't have found it without the star. They are amazing and as someone with Raynauds i can really recommend them.
Raindancer411 · 18/08/2021 13:34

@superstar84 Son loves lego but he has not really played with his. What set is it as £71 sounds very low and cannot remember it that low before.

Raindancer411 · 18/08/2021 13:40

@superstar84 Is it the 60179 set? Looks like you missed it being low back in may/June, so may come back down. I got this set..

LEGO 60198 City Cargo Train Set Battery Powered Engine For 6 Year Old, RC Bluetooth Connection, 3 Wagons, Tracks and Accessories https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B078K4K423/ref=cmswwrcppapiglttfabcPVVV1K4BMGD6RWS3H91M

BigGreen · 18/08/2021 13:40

@superstar84 if it's the yellow and navy one we have it and it's super fun. (The trains use a lot of batteries though.)

PoirotAndHisMoustache · 18/08/2021 13:50

If anyone is looking for Kindle upgrade, Amazon has a limited time deal on the waterproof one. I just bought the blue one for my DH and he is getting me the plum one 🙈

Findahouse21 · 18/08/2021 13:52

@Theimpossiblegirl where did you get the beanbag chairs please

superstar84 · 18/08/2021 13:53

It's the passenger cargo one that's linked above that I was thinking of

He hasn't asked for it but he loves trains so thought he would enjoy it

I find him tricky to buy for as most toys are aimed at younger than 9, he's got a Nintendo switch but he still likes to play with toys and i like to keep Santa gifts as toys rather than electronics

I could get some rechargeable batteries though

superstar84 · 18/08/2021 13:54

It was this one that seems to go down to £70 ish every now and then

Just picked up a PS5 controller reduced from £50 to £35 at B&M.

Mathscourses · 18/08/2021 14:06

If anyone was thinking of ordering the Hotel Chocolat Velvetiser mentioned upthread with the discount code VELV35KCFMICIT, then consider adding some Nutmilk Hot Chocolate to use in it this month. It’s been reduced to £2:40 today. The normal price is £8.

It was £4 when I bought some last night, and my order has already been despatched so they are being very efficient. :-(

Beakerandbungle · 18/08/2021 14:13

@superstar84 - my eldest has both the Lego train sets. He got them when a bit younger but is 9 now and still enjoys them ( and would enjoy building them I’d imagine). Have to admit I’m also rather fond of them Grin
