70, my kids' tree looks like Christmas vomited on it! 🙈🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

I forgot it was a Rudolph day but I've been working on my second cross stitch Christmas card this evening - pic attached (stolen from google).

Love the idea of a runner Fluffy but I think I'd be scared of having things spilled on it and it being ruined because both DH and I are clumsy buggers

We've never really done Halloween but where we live now seems friendly and there are a few younger kids around so I'm guessing I'll need to get some sweets in for it.
My friend lives literally around the corner and her daughter loves coming up to see me and the dog so they'll definitely come trick or treating 🎃

Shimmer what sort of decs do you usually have?
Mine began red and gold, then I added some white and now we pic up decs wherever we go so it's 'eclectic' 😂
I'm still looking for a set of lights that I can change from warm white to coloured depending on my mood in case anyone sees any while you're doing Christmas browsing online.

peach We're a good crafty bunch - what sort of things are you looking to make? I think between us we have baking, crocheting, sewing, jam / marmalade / chutney making, knitting & cross stitching covered.

Drafted a reply last night then fell asleep before posting! We took the DC to Sundown Adventure Land with DSis and DNs, and they absolutely loved it but we were all exhausted!

Quiet day today. We have an appointment at 10 to get DS's hair trimmed so he can see properly, but other than that it's packing for holiday and sorting the house as we're having some minor building work done while we're away (seeing as I can't have my extension yet!!)

Morning!

We're travelling back south today, and staying in Falkirk tonight as we want to go back to the Kelpies now the kids are old enough to remember going! We also want to see them lit up in the evening. Sunset is 20.30, so hopefully we'll get a good enough view by 9pm. And hopefully a late night will mean the kids fall asleep on the way home tomorrow and don't witter at us for the whole journey!

I may have said some slightly naughty words quite loudly so the fucking prick heard me but another neighbour then joined in 🏆 pointing out that every house neighbouring the thoughtless knob had full washing lines too.
then I came in to a bloody Avon book in a plastic bag dangling from the letter box, so I've shoved it back through. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I will stamp on it tomorrow!

I was having a lovely calm afternoon of Test Match Special too...it's the first time for a long time that I haven't felt like a bloody coiled spring.

puss how do you find all these websites? The fabric on that one is lovely but I'm too tight to buy any for now, especially with the postage costs. Have made myself a an extensive wish list though - all Christmas themed of course

DH has been home for approximately 30 minutes. He has filled the hallway with his camping gear, told me being gone for a week was too long, smoothed the dog and almost fallen asleep on the sofa 🙄 I've bundled him in the shower because he stinks to keep him awake and ordered a curry as per our tradition when one of us has been away 😋

Random veg stir fry tonight, aubergine curry for tea tomorrow, DH is having roasted veg wraps with hummus for lunch, and I need to decide what I'm doing with the cauliflower for mine. Might roast it with Cajun spices, that's one of my favourites!

We appear to have a hotel on the central reservation of the motorway (or it sounds like that!), so I've been awake for ages! Nobody else is awake though!

Home day today. Hurrah! I like trips away but do like to go home!

We're having a Premier Inn breakfast this morning. 😋

The kids didn't want to go to The Kelpies last night, but were glad they went in the end. Hopefully they'll remember the trip (they were too young to remember our first trip).

And in other news I cancelled my Ocado order and went with Morrisons as was cheaper and there was a glitch in the matrix and now I am getting both. So will be playing a considerable game of fridge jenga later and Woolly if you need milk please feel free to appear for some 🤣

@NoWordForFluffy I am indeed in NI but I plan to smuggle some over in Tupperware boxes as all my family are in England! So if that works, I'll let you know. The trial was a resounding success, although all tasters did suggest MOAR BOOZE, so that will be fun for next time! Think I've put on about 3lbs in truffles alone though...

@CrazyBaubles I have no skills whatsoever so it'll have to be something easy I did just take a sewing class though and loved it, so maybe everyone will get tote bags!

Oops, forgot the tree photos! This year I'll be in a much smaller rented property (moved out of our house after DH died and am renting it out at the mo) so I'll only be able to have one or two trees, alas. But here are last year's! One missing which I didn't seem to photograph.
