I do my mum's Waitrose shop for her! It's funny!

Sorry to hear that crazy, hope they feel better soon!

Survey report on our new house is due today, so nervous about that!

Have a wash on the line (and one in the machine), bread in the bread maker and have stewed some cooking apples :)

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/06/2021 10:59

Get you domestic goddess most

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/06/2021 12:32

DD Birthday Xmas Grin

We had croissants , toast (done in the breadmaker) Linda McCartney sausages and scrambled eggs (for DH)

Might potter about doing some random weeding if the rain holds off

I looked on the BodyShop sale , there were some Christmas gift sets from last year , not even 50% off . Even I was underwhelmed .

Flowers Crazy

NoWordForFluffy · 25/06/2021 12:52

Happy birthday to your DD, 70!

No sign of rain stopping here. It's rather damp indeed!

NoWordForFluffy · 25/06/2021 12:52

Ooh, it's Rudolph day. Any Christmassy plans anywhere? I have none, ha!

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/06/2021 12:59

I did look on Amazon at Christmas Bedding ........Xmas Blush

Last year we got a brushed cotton bed set but the beige sheet and pillowcases went a weird khaki after I washed them with the patterned pillowcases .
I don;t think the dye ran because they weren't patchy at all.
Cover is a Nordic grey/white/beige

I recycled the khaki ones and I'm planning what to replace with . Grey or white ?

NerosFiddle · 25/06/2021 13:43

70 happy birthday to your dd.

Crazy hope your dsis and bil are ok.

Most when are you expecting the results?

We've got a bouncy castle for the weekend. Just have to hope the rain doesn't ruin it.

NerosFiddle · 25/06/2021 13:44

Fluffy no plans for Rudolph day. I might go mad and put turkey on my pizza tonight 😂

lachy · 25/06/2021 16:12

Happy Birthday to @ @70isaLimitNotaTarget's DD

@CrazyBaubles hope Sis & BIL are feeling better soon.

We're having Pizza tonight as well @NerosFiddle, no turkey on it though, DD only likes cheesey Pizza.

Haven't done anything remotely Christmassy today, but I might add a few things to DD's ideas list on Amazon...

and possibly add a few bits for myself too

pussycatlickinglollyices · 25/06/2021 16:15

70 Happy Birthday to your DD 🎂

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 25/06/2021 17:27

Happy birthday 70's dd!

Survey report has been delayed :(

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 25/06/2021 20:25

Thank You Xmas Grin

DD is wafting about in new pyjamas
We've just had the Mother of All thunderstorms with heavy rain and hailstones . There is flooding in the gardens .
The cats are locked in but our male is looking out forlornly ......if we put him outside he'd have the CPL on speed-dial demanding to be returned . But he wants to .
Good job he's neutered , it's a very shallow gene pool he's swimming in Xmas Hmm

CrazyBaubles · 25/06/2021 22:16

most you put me to shame with your domestic goddess life!
Do you know how long the survey has been delayed by or why?

Happy Birthday to your dd 70 🥳 Have you had cake?

With the bedding, is it for your bed? I'd be too scared to go for white but grey and white check / snowflakes or something might be nice?

Nothing Christmassy happening here. I worked, FaceTimed my dad and talked him through an online food shop. No idea if he's done it right though.
Spent an hour FaceTime supervising the kids while BIL tried to do some basics around the house. Have also batch cooked soup, chilli, bolognese & lasagne, to be delivered tomorrow.

Have just spent a quiet hour crocheting and have finished the gloves for youngest nephew. Again, not perfect but they're his favourite colour and I'm as sure as I can be that he'll like them.

Love the gloves Crazy

We spent most of the evening watching the back garden filling with water , this morning it is pretty clear still a bit on the paved area but that will go .

I was woken at just before 7am by the male cat standing on me purring very loudly to get up and feed them /open the catdoor .
For such a sleek feline he weighs a tonne Xmas Grin

pussycatlickinglollyices · 26/06/2021 07:54

70 they do have heavy paws, don't they? 😹

We had a bit of rain overnight, but it's lovely and bright now.

Most did they say why? Are they just really busy and it's in a queue?

NoWordForFluffy · 26/06/2021 08:43

We're brighter today too, thankfully. The water butts are full to the brim again too, thankfully. Our extra buckets were full too!

Most, is this your survey or the mortgage one?

WreckTangled · 26/06/2021 08:59

Warm and sunny here. Meant to cloud over layer. Getting my hair done today!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 26/06/2021 09:22

Our survey, delayed due to a positive covid test.

We have decided to come to Barrybados, just having a Spoons breakfast.

NerosFiddle · 26/06/2021 09:49

Morning.

Just had my toast and a cuppa. Sky is looking very ominous. Hopefully it'll stay dry for the bouncy castle.

CrazyBaubles · 26/06/2021 14:25

Ah that's annoying most!

Hope the rain has / is holding off for you Neros

We're just home from food shopping. We decided to go to the big Sainsbury's and had breakfast there. Wandered around the home and clothes bits before doing the actual food shopping.
DH remembered why he hates going there with me - we've somehow come away with clothes each, a new little frying pan, some pretty coloured highball glasses, random bits and pieces and a bigger food shop than we needed / wanted

Have also picked up some bits for my sister and parents.

I think it's going to start raining soon but that's ok as my plans all involve being inside and cleaning my house!

pussycatlickinglollyices · 26/06/2021 17:10

Crazy I'm lucky, Sains is 4 miles away and DH normally walks home - it gives me an hour + 15 mins to drive back and hide everything put things away. 🙊😹 It's been quite close once or twice, but I look like someone on a trolley dash when doing the food part. 🥵😂

We've got the footy on, so far I'm 3 points ahead of DH (1 point for correct winner; 3 points for correct score) going into the last 16...Football The winner gets to choose our first takeaway for about 18 months! as long as it's not DH and his boring choice of sweet n sour chicken and chips

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/06/2021 22:56

I've been searching through QVC.com ( the USA site) they've had a Christmas in July sale .
I know there's a time diffference but I thought it was 8 hours not 30 days Xmas Grin

They have some flannelly bedding and Temp-tations crockery that are straight out of a cheesey Hallmark Christmas Film. !

One of the card shops (poss Clintons) had Christmas cards for 99p (but I don't send cards so saved myself a quid there )

Morning!

I'm still in bed, trying to get the motivation to get up I've a feeling my bladder will do that job soon!

I actually slept quite well last night. Maybe the influence of my second jab wiping me out! I haven't woken with the headache I woke with last time, but then I don't have the unholy trinity of period, hayfever and jab either!

I actually went to sleep on the sofa last night after being hit with a wall of tiredness. I did the same after the last jab. Clearly that's a thing for me!

NerosFiddle · 27/06/2021 09:29

Morning.

How are you feeling today fluffy? I didn't feel great for 2 days after mine. But worth it.

The bouncy castle yesterday was great craic. But I over did it and now my back is gone.
