Alright. Vague shadow of a potential headache, but nothing like the first jab which gave me a whacking great sicky headache all day the following day. I don't think I'll do too much today, though my garlic and onions need to come out of the ground. I'll just go gently!

NoWordForFluffy · 27/06/2021 09:36

Oh no about your back, Neros. Keep as mobile as you can, but go gently!

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 27/06/2021 09:37

Fluffy hope tiredness was the only side effect for you. It was for me - I had 2 nights of solid 10 hours sleep and felt exhausted the day after mine.

Neros were you doing backflips? 😂

Im having a lazy morning. I've been awake since 8 but am only now getting out of bed.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 27/06/2021 09:58

Glad you aren't suffering too much fluffy

Hope your back feels better soon nero Grin

We are off for a walk with family in Tintern today, weather not looking great though!

Talking through logistics of move with DH after the infamous thread on property/DIY yesterday. We are going for the full packing service so going to see if they can pack completely the day before, we then clean the house the evening before and stay in a hotel. Next morning we all just head straight up to North Wales so we are there by lunchtime.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 27/06/2021 10:15

most I may have posted on that thread. 🤯🤯 the OP was batshit to say the least! 🤪
I'd pack anything valuable/breakable/sentimental myself with plenty of bubblewrap and in a sturdy box - as you have time to do this.
Last thing to be packed when we moved here was the dyson. Grin
What are you doing with 😺 ? We put ours into a cattery for 3 days, but we were lucky as we moved less than a mile.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 27/06/2021 10:24

The night before they will stay in our empty house so the morning of the move we grab them and their stuff and head up. They have never been in a cattery. So night before in our empty house, the next night we should be in our new house. When we have moved previously they are locked in one room of the house which the removals men are instructed not to enter. Will be our ensuite in this house and the garage in the new house.

CrazyBaubles · 27/06/2021 10:30

Most was that the thread where the new owner started removing the kitchen and OP was furious because she hadn't moved out yet and was stopping for an early leisurely lunch?
If so, was it a troll in the end? It seemed like such a crazy thread - made me very grateful for our sellers who already had their new house so had emptied ours, cleaned it and left it empty the day before.
Our moving day was us loading a van the day before with all furniture except the bed, sofas then fitting in as many boxes as poss, cleaning and more cleaning, sleeping in a very empty house, up early, packed bedding etc in 'emergency box' along with some cutlery, towel, toiletries and underwear, then our 'team' (some mates) arrived with breakfast. They loaded some of the boxes that were v v heavy.
Call came at 11:30 that house was ours so
We went, picked up keys from neighbour, unloaded van, back to rented house, packed last of stuff, did final hoover and mop while team took the last load and emptied it. Then me and ddog met landlady, did final walk through, handed over keys and left.

Moving is chaotic no matter how you do it I think but some people (like the op of the crazy thread) make it so much harder than it needs to be!

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 27/06/2021 10:32

Yes that's the thread! With a long distance move with a 5yo and 2 cats I just want to make it as stress free as possible. Ideally all I want to do with our current house on completion day is collect the cats and drop the keys with EA. Want to spend the vast majority of it up north unpacking.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 27/06/2021 10:40

When we bought this house, the vendor expected us to drive to a neighbouring county to their solicitors to collect the keys after completion. DH checked with our solicitor and she said once the funds have been transferred it would be ours.
He told the vendor that he wasn't travelling that far to get the keys, so either the keys must be left with the EA or he'd take the door off to gain access.😂
They left the keys with the EA.
Which meant I didn't get a new front door for a few more years. 🤔

NoWordForFluffy · 27/06/2021 11:08

I'm not sure they're a troll, just utterly, breathtakingly, clueless (she's posted throughout the transaction illustrating that a) she hadn't a clue and b) seemingly wasn't bright enough to find out! Her posts about being stressed about it taking so long (only 2 months) we're totally tone deaf on the moving threads!

Thick as mince

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 27/06/2021 11:09

Ha yes fluffy, some people on those threads are coming up to a year!

NerosFiddle · 27/06/2021 18:34

Ooh I missed that thread.

We hired a company to pack and then store our stuff for 9 weeks then deliver and unpack. Dd was 8 weeks old when we moved into our house.

I hurt my back by having one jump on the bouncy castle. Though I think if I looked at it it would have gone.

NoWordForFluffy · 28/06/2021 07:33

180

One hundred and eighty! (Said in best darts commentator voice!)

Dry and sunny today, by the look of it. Yay.

Forgot to say yesterday that the bloody rabbit has had the tips of all of my leeks, plus most of the runners from batch 2 of our rubber beans. Fucking little shits. 😡😡😡

The allotment peas are no more too. Sigh.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 28/06/2021 08:37

fluffy you need to hire these guys.

Woa-oh, we're halfway there...Countdown to Christmas 2021 (thread 4)
NoWordForFluffy · 28/06/2021 09:11

Yes! I'll do anything at this point!

CrazyBaubles · 28/06/2021 10:18

Morning. Fluffy I think puss has given you the perfect plan 😂

Weather is grey, wet and cold here - perfect for a Christmas film / Christmas planning which I may try later. Right now I have some spreadsheets and work (and a hormone induced cracking headache and associated cramps) stopping me.

whydoesitalwayshappentome · 28/06/2021 10:33

Morning folks.

I hope your allotment bunny isn't the Wererabbit of the Wallace and Gromit series. That would be a bit off-putting.

I am off today then in the next four days so have slowly worked into getting up. My back is hurting as well which is a nuisance.

pussycatlickinglollyices · 28/06/2021 10:42

Crazy My hormones have come out in solidarity with your hormones. 🤦🏻‍♀️
Nero how is your back, after your encounter with the bouncy castle? I've never been on one, my boobs won't let me I don't fancy black eyes and bruised knees 😂

CrazyBaubles · 28/06/2021 14:21

Sorry puss 💐
I ended up taking an hour off - put a hot water bottle on my stomach, ate some toast and just led down. Endo is a bastard - mine doesn't flare up so often anymore but when it does the pain makes me feel sick.

Am now back at work, diligently going through spreadsheets etc but have a cheesey Hallam

CrazyBaubles · 28/06/2021 14:22

FFS, dropped my phone and it posted 🙄

That should have said I have a cheesy Hallmark Christmas film on the background- Christmas Wonderland I think it's called. Absolutely rubbish but it's keeping me company I suppose Xmas Smile

pussycatlickinglollyices · 28/06/2021 16:19

I thought a cheesey Hallam was some sort of posh toasted sandwich.
😂😂

CrazyBaubles · 28/06/2021 16:25

😂😂

NoWordForFluffy · 28/06/2021 17:07

Guess what's on the radio (woa-oh!!)?

OP posts:
NoWordForFluffy · 28/06/2021 17:08

I thought we were going down the halloumi route with Crazy!

OP posts:
CrazyBaubles · 28/06/2021 17:45

I'm such a clutz Blush😂 - and I ended up switching the film off because it was so crap!

I have the classic fm app - I think I mentioned it last year because it has LBC, Radio X and Heart too, and in December it has a selection of Christmas playlists.

I opened it to today and it has the Heart FM and Classic FM Christmas playlists back on, as a special Xmas Grin

Work is done for the day and tea is on. I've just had a shower and am now sat in my pjs with a plan to sew in the ends of the spare pair of gloves I made for my niece yesterday, finish the mini Christmas cross stitch I abandoned weeks ago and possibly unravel and rewind a ball of yarn I dropped yesterday and is now in a tangled mess if I get one of those things done it'll be a miracle!
