We stayed up watching Sherlock and now I'm wide awake. I'm unimpressed! 😂

At least we finally made it to thread 2...I doubt we will do as many this year!

Fluffy I definitely understand with both the hay fever, hormones and the headaches - bloody awful (connected) combination.
I hope you feel better soon! Do you get on with aspirin? I take high dose soluble aspirin for budding migraines - not sure if that would help?

Also sympathy for hormones lots of cramps and swinging from feeling hungry to sick here.

The dolls look lovely woolly - I'm especially impressed with the faces because I can't do things that small and fiddly.

As for language on here - my typing is atrocious and I use my phone so I often leave posts with incorrect spellings / typos and terrible grammar not as bad as the 'could of / should of / would of brigade.
I also have an English degree Blush

My friend came to see the house (she looked through the windows) then we went for a walk and sat in the garden in the sun which was really nice as I haven't seen her in over a year.

Since she left I've sorted my planter and sown my wildflower seeds so 🤞🏼 they're ok - the herbs are going great guns out the back (sage, mint and thyme have almost doubled).

NoWordForFluffy · 24/04/2021 19:43

Your mint is in a pot on its own, isn't it, Crazy? It's rampant stuff!

My headache doesn't seem as bad. It's still there, but not as persistent. I'm still bloody hungry though. 🐷😂

Hi everyone, I was officially the most popular member of staff for two minutes this afternoon, as I dropped a load of chocolate bars in for the afternoon shift even though I was off (our parents live on the same road as the hospital and I went to see them).

I love the dolls Woolly. So cute.

MarshmallowManiac · 24/04/2021 21:13

Evening everyone, haven't been on for a while MIA busy over the Easter holidays, gardening, family time and haven't been well all week but back to normal now. Hope you are all well. Haven't read the thread yet.

CrazyBaubles · 24/04/2021 21:41

Fluffy I won't make the mistake of having mint plants anywhere but a pot again - in old house I planted mint, sage, rosemary and thyme in a long strip of the garden and the sage and mint went mad and took up all the space.

Everything I've done is in pots for this garden, at this stage I don't intend to plant anything in the ground.

Morning!

It's another beautiful day here. I'm off to the allotment for a bit more digging! I need to water stuff too (if it hasn't already died! 🤦‍♀️).

I have a headache today. I think it's because of hayfever though! Tree pollen is clearly not agreeing with me. 🤧

Pots is a good plan, Crazy. How is the garden coming on now?

We've just had our new fridge freezer delivered and now I'm about to go into the gym. I'm excited to put all the food away when I get home Grin

CrazyBaubles · 25/04/2021 09:10

A few people have said to me that their hay fever is awful this year Fluffy so you're not alone. I constantly look like I've been crying if we have the back doors open or I go outside 🙄

The garden is coming slowly. My retaining wall is built, my new gate and fence at the side have been fitted and the ground is fully ready with stuff called stone to dust - just need a wacker plate and my dad to flatten the stone to dust then lay the patio stones but he's hurt his knee so it's been slightly delayed.
In the meantime my herbs and strawberries in pots are coming on very well and we've set up a little seating area at the bottom of the garden for now - it's where I sat with MH friend yesterday and it's lovely to finally have a garden I can sit in (old house had no grass and was constantly in shade).

Exciting about the fridge freezer Wreck - what type is it? I always wanted an American style one but my mum has one and it's so big theres no way it will fit here.

I'm having a quiet morning on the sofa with cross stitch and a hot water bottle on my stomach as it's really painful today.
Plan later is to go to my parents for dinner and see my sister and the kids there. No housework today because we blitzed the house yesterday - I even cleared my wash basket!

WreckTangled · 25/04/2021 09:53

It's just a standard one, but one of the biggest without being an American one. We could fit one where we are now but hopefully will move at some point and doubt another house would have such a big kitchen.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/04/2021 10:42

I gave up at the allotment. The ground is too dry to weed as it's like concrete. So I gave everything a good soak and I'm heading home to do stuff there instead.

Crazy, I'm having a really painful period this time. I struggled to sleep last night. Between hayfever, my period and the jab I'm surprised I can function! My hayfever makes me wheeze / cough plus gives me headaches and itchy eyes. It gets worse as I get older. Why was always the sufferer out of the two of us. I've caught up!

Happy Rudolph Day Xmas Grin

My day will consist of
more washing ( I did 5 loads yeasterday )
making a loaf ( I watched YouTube videos )
watering plants /new lawn - DH and I bought some shrubs and ground cover to plant out . They've been watered when we got them home . I planted the Nastursium seedlings , and potted on the begonias .
The sweetpeas are too small at the moment

Take DS to his guitar lesson

Will you have a beautifully organised F/F Wreck . You can look forward to The Christmas Fridge Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 25/04/2021 10:52

It's a sign of getting old that you're excited about an appliance, Wreck! 🤣🤣

70, I've never watched a video on YouTube, just lobbed stuff in the bread maker and let it do its thing!

We have our second load on the go now. We only have line space for two loads. It's definitely drying weather though!

Xmas Grin I'm looking at ao.com to replace my cooker , so I am understanding the level of excitement there .
Present cooker is very bolshy /old .
Need to do a final measure then go online .
They keep going in/out of stock (the one I like)

I have menopausal flushes and fatigue waves , add the muscle pain and forgetting things , it does seem a pretty good trade off to period pains but very random .

WreckTangled · 25/04/2021 11:26

Remember nhs discount for ao.com. I will have it beautifully organised I might even get some storage containers for it...

I've always been excited about new appliances, ever since I moved out of home 13 years ago! The gym instructor told me today she thought I was much younger than her and she's 31 Halo

MarshmallowManiac · 25/04/2021 13:50

Happy Rudolf day everyone. Have just came back from a walk with DS and DH and DDoggie. Quite a blowy day but quite a bit of sun.

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/04/2021 20:24

How are you feeling now Fluffy?

Wreck I had an amazing full height side by side fridge freezer in my old house. I was gutted to leave it and have a relatively small fridge freezer in this house. I have two small chest freezers in the garage but it just isn't the same.

DH is fretting over his strawberries. They were bare root plants that went in at the end of last year. They don't appear to be doing anything yet and despite extensive googling I can't find any information about when they should begin to grow. Everything seems to be about spring planted plants.

I did one load of laundry today and my DDs did 2 loads of theirs. All dry apart from 2 items that are a bit damp. Loads of ironing to do tomorrow though - after I've been with DD1 to her new home inspection tour. Very exciting - the house, not the ironing 😂

NoWordForFluffy · 25/04/2021 20:31

Has she got a moving date yet, Woolly?

I don't like to worry your DH, but the strawberries should be well underway now. Many of my plants (from runners) are in flower now, or will be soon. And they're definitely growing.

I'm feeling better, thank you. A bit fatigued, and I had a brief spell of visual disturbance earlier, which I knocked on the head with painkillers. My joints ache too, on and off.

MarshmallowManiac · 25/04/2021 21:15

My toms don't seem to have taken, do any of you lovely ladies have any kind tips for me please.

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/04/2021 22:05

Hopefully she'll get an indication of that tomorrow Fluffy. It's all in the hands of the conveyancing team now. I wouldn't be surprised if it was next week - I think Friday of this week will be too soon.

We figured the strawbs were gonners ☠️

NoWordForFluffy · 25/04/2021 22:20

What do you mean by 'not taken', Marshmallow? Not germinated or not grown post-germination? I've never had a germination problem. Where were they put to grow?

Thompson & Morgan were selling bare roots off. You might be able to replace them, Woolly.

Next week is exciting re the house!

Morning. Very very sunny here - I've been out and walked the dog already - hayfever was v v bad.

No big plans today, just work and a few bits around the house.

CrazyBaubles · 26/04/2021 07:28

Ah, pressed post too soon!

Exciting about the move for your dd woolly - stressful process though!

I saw a thread on here in the garden section where a lot of people said their plants were behind / things were struggling due to an unusually dry / hot April.
I think at least one of my strawberry plants is dead already 🙄

WeeDonkey · 26/04/2021 07:35

Morning!

Fluffy with an LoD name change here! 🤣

Strawberries are quite good at doing a Lazurus, so it's worth giving them a good water and seeing what happens.

I really want some rain. My poor allotment crops are dying a death. 😢😢

WeeDonkey · 26/04/2021 08:05

Woolly, here's the strawberries offer.

NerosFiddle · 26/04/2021 10:56

I love that saying. "Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey"
