We stayed up watching Sherlock and now I'm wide awake. I'm unimpressed! 😂

At least we finally made it to thread 2...I doubt we will do as many this year!

Come downstairs to find DH and DS had a bad night and DS' back gums are bulging so looks like his first permanent molars are coming in. A day of painkillers and soft food I think.

I was opening up the curtains in the dc's room this morning when the pole fell down, including the baton it was attached to. We have big windows too (have to buy the biggest width curtains) so dh has a bit of a job this morning. Ha.

I've not noticed our two getting more teeth. I'm more interested in the fact neither have lost any yet! 😂

We're decorating DD's room. Or half of it! It's being done in two stages as it's too much hassle to move all the furniture to do it at once!

No way?! Dd lost all her baby teeth (including an extra one she had) about a year ago now, so before she was 10. Ds isn't quite as fast but has lost about 8 I think. He's very squeamish though and won't wobble the wobbly ones.

Morning. Posting as part of my procrastinating today. By now I should have cleaned the kitchen, hoovered, showered and tidied. Instead I have had breakfast delivered, eaten, watched Scandal and cross stitched
Will get myself into gear in a min. It's a grey, miserable day here which isn't helping my motivation at all.

The dentist said it's fine (they went a week or so ago). DD has the two permanent bottom middle teeth growing, but she hasn't lost the baby ones yet. She won't have a gap when they go! 😂😂

She's 8 in June. 🤷‍♀️

Dds physical development has always been on the early side (not in movement though she didn't walk until she was 2!), she already has some signs of acne poor thing. I remember having wobbly teeth around aged 12 though so she doesn't get it from me.

Hope the decorating isn't too painful, it usually starts with enthusiasm here but doesn't last long

I've done my bit (cutting in and glossing). I'm just waiting for DH to complete the rollering, then he can pack the stuff away and I'll sort through DD's clothes to see what can go into the too small pile.

We've done as much decorating as we're doing today and put the furniture back (though not right up to the skirting board!)

DD seems to like it, thankfully.

We've had it mostly dry, but grey. And still bloody windy. The washing dried!

I was thinking of planning a kind of Christmas style Easter. Small gifts but a family meal and stuff to look forward to.
And I’m doing Easter cards this year and writing to people I’ve missed this last year.

I cleaned the bathroom , did the supermarket shop ( went to Tesco instead of Sainsbury just for a change ) and tried out my new vacuum (George 3-in-1) on the stairs .
Helped DD change her bedding (she is perfectly capable but did the muuum can you help .She is really helpful to me so no probs . )
Just going to put our clean sheets back , still on the brushed cotton till I'm sure winter is over .

Life just gets more exciting

I might just go to bed. Really feeling it at the moment, everything is hard work. I need to start exercising again

Have made a start on lights today. I think a big Easter is also called for...

sleepsnow a robot hoover would last all of 14 minutes in my house , the cats ( I'm looking at you FemaleCat ) would see it as a personal mission to Hunt and Kill.

MaleCat has a thing for a laser pen light. If a RobotVacuum had a light on it ............... well it might as well sign its own death warrant .

The new vacuum is noisy enough to keep them away .

I'm not up yet. I need to motivate myself, but it's tricky! 😂

I'm getting my broad beans in the ground at the allotment today. They're getting too big for their pots, so need to go in the ground. That means digging where they're going to go. Hopefully the ground has dried out properly now as last week's frozen like concrete wasn't helpful! 😂

Oh, going big on Easter sounds good actually. I'll think about that!

MN is working again!

We should all have had at least our first vaccine by Easter so we could probably have a bigger one than Christmas.

Afternoon everyone. Lovely and sunny here, not even very blowy, have just taken doggie for a walk. Can smell the breakfast, it is nice as DH always cooks brekkie on a Sunday.

Hope your DS's teeth push through quickly and he doesn't get too much pain. My doggie is teething atm and chewing everything!!

We are going to get some paint in as fed up with the lack of colour in this house Fluffy

Trying to get myself into gear Crazy as want to finish the cleaning I started yesterday. Will move in a minute or twenty.

Oh no Wreck used to hate having bad skin in my teens.

I have dug / weeded the bed for the beans and thrown them in.

I noticed as I was talking to my neighbour that my crocuses have opened. They hadn't last week. The snowdrops are going great guns at the back of the plot too. I love how they increase year on year.

I'm tired now. But I'm going to do some baking when I get home as I've fruit that needs using.

I'm so happy after my digging session. I've missed it and hasn't realised how much (or how I actually need it!).

I've made:

A Sharon fruit and pecan cake;
Banana muffins (which we say are choc chip muffins as the kids wouldn't eat them if they knew they were banana);
Apricot muffins (adapting Nigella's Christmas morning muffin recipe); and
Vegan chocolate mousse (as per the recipe which @TheWoollybacksWife recommended).

Today has been more productive than any day in the recent past. 😂😂

I have attacked the washing machine drawer which tbh was pink 😳 although I do use pink fabric softener, I think most of it wasn't that.😳
Can I just add that the new cotton buds with a stupidly flimsy paper stick are shit. They bend when within a foot of a sink full of v hot soapy water!!!😡 How else can I clean out the bit where the comfort spurts through?
fluffy I've loads of crocus and snowdrops out, the grape hyacinths are still leafy, loads of mini daffs coming through and I seem to have a whole pot of tulips which is why i DON'T let DH do all of the planting something may have gone a tad awry there...

wreck as long as it's a comfy sofa and DWreckCat is being a good boy unlike Charlie who has decided to shred my chair I think you've won todays battle.
