We stayed up watching Sherlock and now I'm wide awake. I'm unimpressed! 😂

At least we finally made it to thread 2...I doubt we will do as many this year!

Migranes are evil Crazy , mine only used to end when I vomited (TMI) but having my wisdom teeth out helped immensely .

Rudolph Day tomorrow Xmas Grin
I am planning my Easter List for Friday so that'll be a good Rudolph substitute .
I made a Lemon Drizzle Traybake ( Mary Berry recipe ) which is delicious and I'll do another one for Easter but more icing , it needs the crisp lemon icing on the top .

I am Vaccinated now (hooray) , I know "mask/handwash/distance/PPE "still applies .

PussyCatEatingEasterEggs · 25/03/2021 05:42

275 Happy Rudolf Day everyone.
I know I was away pretty much every hour on the hour until 3. Today won't be an active one.🤦🏻‍♀️
Going to B&Q at 7 for some paint rollers and other bits n pieces, then to Morrisons for bread and veg for weekend then bed maybe

lachy · 25/03/2021 06:38

Morning! Only 8 more Rudolph Days left Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2021 07:48

Morning!

I'm rubbish at remembering about Rudolph days! Xmas Grin

I don't have anything Christmassy planned today. I peaked on Saturday with my mincemeat. 🎅🏻🎄

I'm off work the week after next and I'm planning what I'll have time to wash in the house, like curtains. It's rock'n'roll round these parts!

Morning & Happy Rudolph Day 🎄

I managed not to crash out yesterday afternoon - I lasted until 10pm then slept solidly from 10 until 7:30 this morning which is unheard of for me.

Fluffy DH treated me like I was still ill while he was wfh so it wasn't so bad. He brought me tea and toast then worked upstairs out of the way and I wish he would do that every week
I am actually having a patio put in at some point this summer though so if he stays annoying, the chance will be right there - and it'll be big enough for a few more husbands - just saying 😂

I agree about migraines being evil 70. Mine unfortunately don't end with vomiting - that tends to increase the pulsing pain in my head and make me feel hungry but also nauseous at the same time.

I'm planning on having something Christmassy playing in the background in honour of Rudolph day, just not sure what yet Xmas Smile

WreckTangled · 25/03/2021 09:30

Been for a walk. Was sunny but cloudy now. There's geese everywhere. Hate them.

MarshmallowManiac · 25/03/2021 14:24

Afternoon everyone and Happy Rudolf day. Xmas Smile Lovely and sunny here, hoping to do a workout this afternoon, after finishing my work.

WreckTangled · 25/03/2021 15:14

I just did a work out. Am now a red sweaty mess.

MarshmallowManiac · 25/03/2021 17:45

Has that effect on me too Wreck, I was a huffy, puffy, clammy, sticky mess. Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 25/03/2021 17:46

Just booked a cottage in Dorset for a week in the Summer, can't wait.

TheWoollybacksWife · 25/03/2021 20:59

You struck lucky then Marshmallow. We've had a week in Norfolk booked since October and all the cottages on the complex sold out before Christmas. Did you manage to get a reasonable deal? I'm half expecting to get an email to say that they've added extra costs as a result of the embargo on foreign travel.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2021 21:10

We've been booked for Scotland in August since last February, I think it is! U.K. holidays at a reasonable price are like rocking horse shit, from other threads I've read on here!

OP posts:
TheWoollybacksWife · 25/03/2021 21:20

You'd be rightly pissed off if they tried to hike your price after that length of time Fluffy. We've also got a weekend away booked in the autumn (that's just DH and me though)

DH had his vaccination yesterday and apart from tiredness and a sore arm he feels pretty good

CrazyBaubles · 25/03/2021 21:21

We're thinking of doing another campervan UK holiday this summer, possibly doing the lakes and surrounding area rather than going all the way to Scotland again (less fuel costs as last year we spent a small fortune on fuel alone).
We figured we can control the costs to a certain extent as we want to replace savings and spend money on the garden.

I ended up chucking The Holiday on as background noise today. Didn't make me feel festive at all though.

NoWordForFluffy · 25/03/2021 21:24

Ooh, come up our way, Crazy! We can meet up in the Lakes!

Woolly, I doubt the contract allows for price hikes. I'd be telling them to stick it if they tried it, anyway. #dontmesswiththelitigator

Morning!

It's pay day...whoop! And after overnight really heavy rain, it's meant to be nice today. I do like a sunny day. 😁

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 26/03/2021 06:48

We've got heavy rain and wind today. And I had a shit nights sleep. Click and collect to pick up then I might have a nap.

CrazyBaubles · 26/03/2021 08:17

Morning. Awful weather here - grey, cold and heavy rain.

I'll have to keep you up to date with our holiday plans - nothing is set in stone yet as we've had to cancel so many trips in the last year that I'm very wary of setting my heart on anything.

I went to my parents for tea last night with my sister and the kids. Lots of chaos but it was so nice to see them. I tried to teach them my proper name (they call me a nickname) but they though it was hilarious and refused to accept it 😂

NerosFiddle · 26/03/2021 10:55

Morning.

We have snow.

We've rescheduled center parcs from last November to August. We got €100 discount for rebooking.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/03/2021 11:06

It's sunny here now! Really nice weather. ☀️

Snow is extreme!

WreckTangled · 26/03/2021 11:28

Just really windy and grey here. I can't fit all of my shopping in the fridge, although it's just the salad and mini cartons of juice I can't get in. Still annoying. Oh and the coleslaw and grapes are still out Hmm

We still want to go to Edinburgh in December but don't want to book flights in case it has to change. Although I suppose we could always move them to next year. Might discuss with dh.

MarshmallowManiac · 26/03/2021 11:54

Morning everyone. Blustery and drizzly here. Happy my DD is having her jab today (bad asthma).

I think I did Woolly, tbf have been looking for ages but lots seemed to be sold out for July and August. Yes feel it was reasonable (under £1400) for the week).

Have that problem a lot Wreck can't seem to fit anything in. Good luck for Edinburgh. Hope you get a chance to have a snooze today.

Would love to try CP Neros have you been before?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 26/03/2021 21:21

We went to Centre Parcs when my DC were little ( quiet times though before they were school ages)

It is hideously ££ and though the cabins were well equipped and there was loads for them to do , it pissed with rain each time we were there at least one of the days . So much is outdoors .

And as the only driver , I had the task of taking the car back to the carpark (massive queue) and walking back then doing the reverse on leaving day .

We aren't having a holiday this year ( or last year ) getting the garden sorted .

I have the things I need for my Easter Tree .
I said to DH about the cats attacking it , he said "But you always put the Easter Tree outside" ...................
No DH , the Hallowe'en Tree goes outside , it's about 7' high .
Easter Tree is petite and goes indoors .

Books SpecSavers appointment for DH

NoWordForFluffy · 26/03/2021 22:05

@PussyCatEatingEasterEggs, how's your DH faring with the forecast high wind (50mph here) overnight?
