We stayed up watching Sherlock and now I'm wide awake. I'm unimpressed! 😂

At least we finally made it to thread 2...I doubt we will do as many this year!

Morning. Went for a walk again this morning, won't be able to tomorrow as I have to leave...(was going to say early but it's actually normal time for when I'm not working from home). Going to make a lasagne for dinner, I've got some low carb lasagne sheets to try so will make two separate ones.

Had to wake ds at 7 this morning he wasn't impressed.

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/03/2021 11:37

There must be something in the air Wreck. DH had to wake DS at 7:10 this morning. He has to leave the house at 7:30 to get his train. He was dressed and had breakfast but I don't know how he managed it 🤦🏻‍♀️

WreckTangled · 23/03/2021 12:24

Oh no! I would feel stressed all day if I was running late like that Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 23/03/2021 14:27

Afternoon everyone. Lovely sunny day here.
Not too mad on Sainsbury's Nectar points. Go there for some things and petrol of course but don't feel they give away much. Love Lidl plus points £2 voucher when you spend a little, and £10 if you spend £200 a month. Smile

NoWordForFluffy · 23/03/2021 14:42

Our Lidl is grim. Really horrid.

Until recently I was getting £4-5 a week in Nectar points. But the bonus offers aren't great at the moment. And then there's double up in November for spending them! I think they're great. When the bonus offers aren't rubbish.

MarshmallowManiac · 23/03/2021 15:46

Am still saving Nectar but it seems to take forever to get anything. Our Lidl is only small but everything is lovely and fresh and lasts ages.

WreckTangled · 23/03/2021 15:49

I can't go to Lidl often as I end up buying half the bakery. Plus I've decided for the stress of going to Aldi/Lidl I would rather pay a bit more and have a calm click and collect at Tesco. I might pop into Aldi tomorrow as I'm passing and stock up on some favourites though.

NoWordForFluffy · 23/03/2021 15:50

Our Lidl is like a concrete bunker and tiny. Plus the fruit / veg are grim. We have a bad one (like Aldi used to be here, but they've upped their game since building a new one near my house!).

MarshmallowManiac · 23/03/2021 16:42

I have that problem too Wreck can't resist the Jaffa doughnuts. Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 23/03/2021 18:18

I bought the worl's worst potatoes in Aldi once and been a bit Hmm with other veg (mainly bought for the guinea-pigs , they weren't too fussy ). Bakery in Lidl is damned nice though .

There was ice on my windscreen, ice I tell you !

NerosFiddle · 23/03/2021 18:23

Funny you say that 70, our weather forecaster just said that statically were more likely to get snow at Easter than at Christmas.

Our Lidl isn't great. Their bakery is lovely but it's far too busy to get a good snoop. I love Aldi but can't get over the border to go at the minute. I have delivery savers for Tesco and Sainsbury's. It works for me because taking the dc around a supermarket is hell on earth.

WreckTangled · 23/03/2021 18:59

I made lasagne for dinner, haven't made one in ages. The dc have requested the leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

MarshmallowManiac · 23/03/2021 20:12

My gang love lasagne Wreck we had ham fritters tonight. Smile

CrazyBaubles · 23/03/2021 20:48

🤕 It has not been a good day here. Migraine woke me at 3am. Have been sick, lost a fair chunk of my vision for a few hours and feel wobbly and shaky now.
I 'attended' 2 teams meetings from my bed, in the dark with my eyes closed and with someone taking notes for me and managed to log on at 5:30 so have done some work but am logging off again now and will make it up in the week.

DH made himself a burger for tea. Made me 🤢 so I had homemade parsnip soup which was nice.

We have a Lidl but I don't think I've ever been in it.
DH has been using the bonus Nectar points thing and shopping in Sainsbury's and the greengrocers for the last few weeks but we were Aldi fans before then. It's worked out well but we both have a slight addiction to Sainsbury's jam donuts which is not so good Blush

I'm attempting to do some online shopping now but not sure where to start - any idea where would be good to get a glass splash back and a divider/organiser for a wide drawer from please? 🤯

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/03/2021 23:01

Sorry to hear you haven't been well today Crazy.

Is it a cutlery organiser that you're looking for? I got ours from Amazon. It's got about 9 compartments and I struggled to come up with categories to fill them after about the first 6 (knives, forks, spoons, teaspoons, tablespoons and bottle openers/corkscrew were easy). The others are bag clips, metal straws, random shite and more random shite.

The second drawer is tea towels, foil, cling film and bbq utensils. I recently bought some trays in Aldi that has helped to sort that lot out and stop it looking like a whole drawer of random shite 😂

I know when we were renovating the kitchen in our previous house I was looking at lots and lots of glass splash backs. I think I'd seen a custom made one on a tv programme and fell down a rabbit hole. I'll have a Google tomorrow and see if I can dredge up something familiar.

We had stroganoff for dinner and DH cooked while I went out for a walk with my DDs. Very nice too. He's got his vaccination tomorrow 🎉

TheWoollybacksWife · 23/03/2021 23:05

Crazy if you don't shop at Amazon then Lakeland might have what you are looking for.

MarshmallowManiac · 23/03/2021 23:49

Hope you feel better soon Crazy

CrazyBaubles · 24/03/2021 01:09

🎄276🎄

Struggling to sleep after the amount of time I spent nodding off / resting today and the side effects of meds. Am adding pins to my Christmas Pinterest board Xmas Smile

Thank you woolly. The drawer is for cooking utensils so the standard cutlery tray isn’t right. We have 2 sets of drawers - each has 1 normal depth and 2 pan drawers. Plan is to have cutlery and casserole dishes/ oven trays in one set which is standard width and cooking utensils, saucepans and frying pans in the other which is wider.
I found an expandable tray that would work on Lakeland but it’s £20+ which I think is a bit steep - or am I being a tight arse?

I’ve definitely got myself lost down the splash back rabbit hole - I found myself looking at ones you can have made from photos.
I just want a neutral-ish one that isn’t £££ (we currently have a bright blue one that looks out of place now we’ve changed the worktops etc).

NoWordForFluffy · 24/03/2021 07:17

Morning!

How do you feel today, Crazy? Yesterday sounds like it was hideous. Xmas Sad

It was cold and windy here yesterday. Our 'reduction of central heating' plan failed! 🥶🥶 It was 16° in the front room. That's not good. 😂 Sunny today though, so it'll be toasty in there. 🌴

WreckTangled · 24/03/2021 07:22

Sorry you've been feeling rubbish crazy.

We've got a frost here.

CrazyBaubles · 24/03/2021 08:46

Morning, and thank you for the messages.
Im still a bit weak and wobbly today but much better yesterday.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have a spectacular crash sometime this afternoon as I'm now running on 4 hours of broken sleep And to make today worse, DH is wfh until 12 🙄

NoWordForFluffy · 24/03/2021 08:59

He's lucky you're too weak to build a new patio, Crazy! 🤣

I'm glad you're on the mend.

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 24/03/2021 09:52

DH got up at 2am because his back was so painful. He didn't come back to bed so I slept pretty well Grin

PussyCatEatingEasterEggs · 24/03/2021 11:40

Crazy Hope you're feeling better only another 20 mins 😉
Wreck 😂 glad you slept well.
Raining first thing, but lovely now.🌞
DH decided it would be sensible to go to B&Q at 9am the knob which meant we got stuck in the post-drop-off school run and 2 lots of temp roadworks that aren't on at 7am. When we got there the car park was really busy so I refused to go in. He had no idea what we I wanted and no money so we came home.
He's spent most of the morning giving some trellis a 2nd coat of paint I did the first coat yesterday and it's a pita 😉😁

MarshmallowManiac · 24/03/2021 11:50

Morning everyone. Sun splitting the stones here. Went for my first run jog for months, nearly killed me but glad I went.

Glad you're feeling a little better Crazy

Glad you had a good night Wreck feel sleep cures all ills. Smile
