Before I nod off in a food / booze coma, here is our new thread!

We've had a lovely, chilled, day building Lego. I should probably eat more cheese to really finish the day in style though. 🧀🧀🧀

Yes. We're very much fine for cheese for months to come, Constantly!

I walked 7 miles today, so I'm going to eat it back later on! 🐷🐷🐷

Your tree wasn't up long, Wreck! 🎄🎄🎄

WreckTangled · 28/12/2020 18:14

Two and a half weeks I think. Plenty for me Grin we just don't have the room our house is tiny!

WreckTangled · 28/12/2020 22:16

Right the double sided sticky tape is on the bedroom door. Let's see if it works. 5:40 this morning he starting scratching it Angry it wakes the dc up too as they have their door open Hmm

We watched the film peppermint tonight. Quite enjoyed it!

Holothane · 28/12/2020 22:32

Lazy days thinking of cancelling Moorfields not only snow, risk but the time is horrific 3.45 in the afternoon I live in the midlands and train and taxis are dire at night after 7 in the summer not a problem but walking around in the dark plus bitter cold and if ❄️ no chance.

Sideorderofchips · 28/12/2020 22:46

Spent the day gutting the lounge and finishing my room today. Disgrubtled chips offspring were made to do their rooms. Baby chips helped me strip the tree

Hohomerryxmas · 28/12/2020 22:55

We had our first cheese night tonight. Was absolutely delicious. We had a home alone marathon built lego and then watched Arthur christmas. Still feeling very festive and christmassy

NoWordForFluffy · 28/12/2020 23:02

I've eaten way more calories than a 7 mile walk burned! It was one of those nights where I needed to EAT!

The amount of cheese in the house is bonkers, it has to be said. 😂🧀 We've loved the Red Windsor. 😋😋

Morning! Back to work today. Boooo! And I'm still in bed. I need to get up! 😂

It's bloody cold here. DH had gone to rescue the washing. It may be frozen to the line!

ConstantlyCookingMincePies · 29/12/2020 09:07

Good morning! Still eating Christmas food here! We are in tier 4, so have nothing else to do except walk/ eat. It reminds me of Christmas when I was a child when we seemed to hibernate until New Year!

NoWordForFluffy · 29/12/2020 09:11

The kids have only just got up! I'm glad they slept for ages; they need it after the excitement of Christmas!

NerosFiddle · 29/12/2020 10:18

Morning.

Dc slept in until 7 today so not too bad. I could still be doing with 12 hours uninterrupted sleep.

I had pate and crackers last night. Yum

Hohomerryxmas · 29/12/2020 11:18

@ConstantlycookingMincePies its how I remember our Christmases too! We'd rarely leave the house until DM took down the decorations and We'd be forced back out into civilization.

We all slept in until 9.40am this morning so everyone is in a fairly good mood. I'm about to start on the chicken curry for lunch (korma) and gearing myself up for another afternoon of Lego building with ds2 and pretending to understand technology while trying to hook up DS1 gaming chair to the TV.

MarshmallowManiac · 29/12/2020 12:09

Morning everyone. Hope you are all well and enjoying not knowing what day it is. Grin Definitely teens in this house, not long after rising.

Oh no Wreck I'm not ready to get rid of the tree yet, need a little sparkle for a bit more time. Usually take it down about 6th as it's little Christmas and my FIL's who has passed birthday. We usually play Christmas music, eat nice food, have hot chocolate and play board games. Great night.

Love the case Crazy

Sounds lovely Hoho

Hope your first day goes well Fluffy

Definitely still eating Christmas food Constantly

CrazyBaubles · 29/12/2020 12:18

Constantly I'm glad my iPad case inspired you Xmas Grin

I had a lazy morning cross stitching in bed, then did yoga and am now about to walk the dog. DH is out hiking a mountain and sent me pics of all the snow.

Plan for this afternoon is to pack up the majority of the spare room, clear the laundry basket and tidy the kitchen again.
We'll be eating turkey & pickles then cheese with crackers for tea.

lachy · 29/12/2020 13:56

I am attempting to work, DH is attempting to work but DD is having none of it... she wants to play! We're going to end up working until 10pm to get anything done.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/12/2020 17:38

Oh no, how did it go in the end, lachy?

Bearing in mind you've exchanged a while before moving, will you manage to get Internet sorted for when you move in? Hopefully so if you're WFH!

Sounds like a lovely day, Crazy.

I've just put my first £20 on a Sainsbury's gift card. I can buy through work and get 5% off, so it's £19 for the £20 top up. And the best thing is I don't have to go to a shop to do it, unlike the card I had for this year!

I spent the day going through my emails; I didn't even look at my tasks! That's tomorrow's job. I did get rid of some future tasks for the next two days. Hopefully that was of benefit to me, even if it's just the tip of the iceberg! 😂

PussyCatInChristmasStockings · 29/12/2020 19:54

fluffy the Sains deal sounds good - I'd be tempted to put more on and use a card each quarter (unless there's a limit)
Had loads of snow this morning, DH went out in the car and said it was really icy. We've now got fog, which I guess is freezing too.
Tilly has spent most of the afternoon in the kitchen window growling and chattering at a tiny Pied Wagtail, who seemed to enjoy the mealworms, sultanas and fruity suet I put out for the Blackbirds. Smile She's worn herself out and is snoring her head off. Grin

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 29/12/2020 21:07

At work today , Wed , Thurs.

Doing lists ( for DH and the DC -haha) of Things To Be Done .

Friday will be tidying up the Christmas decorations for a New Year hopefuly clean and non chaotic.

My DC sleep patterns have reverted to savage , DD sleeps til 10am, DS often cannot sleep and works at night . I'm not sure when their Universities will let them back on site but until then they'll be online .
They're both just haing some relaxation time at the moment , cannot blame them.

It's been nice having an Adults Christmas but I do miss the years when they were little , but the comedown from Christmas once all the excitement was over was like a burst balloon!

Morning! I'm currently sheltering in bed as the heating is only just coming on!

We've had rain here, which at least has unfrozen the cars. Still bloody cold, mind you.

ConstantlyCookingMincePies · 30/12/2020 09:14

V cold here this morning. I am trying to work up to going for a run.
Had a long walk yesterday morning, then curled up on the sofa to watch A Christmas Carol with my candles lit, tree lights on and chocolate.
Today I need to do some prep for work. Luckily email has been v quiet.

WreckTangled · 30/12/2020 09:22

I've got a hospital appt this morning. We all have to go as I can't drive afterwards. Just got so cross with dd. I was putting her washing away and one of her drawers was such a state. I ended up just throwing all her clean things on the floor, I spend so much told folding washing just for her to mess it up. I'm going to stop folding her things for a bit and see if it makes a difference. I doubt it though, she doesn't seem to care.

Hohomerryxmas · 30/12/2020 12:52

Good afternoon! Another lazy day here. Everyone still in their pyjamas. We just had a giant pig in blanket sausage roll for lunch, which was just divine!

Holothane · 30/12/2020 14:33

Finally got my smoked salmon, nibbles again for tea, dh is watching billy conolly I’m finally getting around to listening to now cds, Christmas bedding washed tomorrow tree down as well.

PussyCatInChristmasStockings · 30/12/2020 15:55

Yay. Tier 4. why did I joke back in October about the only way out of Tier 3 being Tier 4??
🤦🏻‍♀️😂😂

WreckTangled · 30/12/2020 16:05
