The wind woke me up ages ago. I'm tired. Today may not be as productive as I'd hoped!

Today's advice: stay indoors, it's cold. Though I do need to pop to Aldi for a cross stitch cucumbers and peppers. At least it's only a short walk!

I had the worst dream of my life last night so feeling shaky this morning. Think a day of cross stitching is needed to recover.

Agreed, it's bloody bitter out there (opened the back door to put a bag of rubbish in the bin) I'll have to don full outdoor wear to feed the birdies in a while - they're still hoovering up yesterdays bread.

I've got clear plastic crates with lids to store stuff in, and use a tote bag for whatever is "on the go" at the mo. As well as a cupboard and chest of drawers/Chester Draws

Dh and I only woke up 15 minutes ago dc were downstairs and hadn't argued all morning so we hadn't woken up. I've got a headache now though.

most how big a box do you need? Some of the clear plastic shoe storage type boxes in Tesco might be ok if you only need a small one. Or an under bed crate if you need something a little more capacious? I forgot that I also have 2 biggish clip lock cake boxes with all my old thread cards in (one DMC & one Anchor) they'd be big enough for a hoop and threads 🤔

I've sorted out our 'pantry' upstairs, plus the top of the cupboard as well. Then cleaned all the windows, woodwork and surfaces. That's my lot for today. I'll clean the kitchen etc tomorrow as I won't be spending long at the allotment given the wind / temperature!

Last day of stupidly cold weather today, but it's warmer as the wind has gone round to the SSE. It's the strength of the wind, not the direction, making it cold. We're getting double figure temperatures tomorrow. Woooo!

I've been watching the cricket... 🤷🏻‍♀️ honestly, I could bat better than that (my cousins both played at county level and I was often their target practice in the nets) at least the dozy tits avoided the follow-on.
I may have buggered up my morning by tapping out the intro to test match special on a tin of tuna...the cats won't leave me alone.🤦🏻‍♀️ They're not having their lunch yet.

My right eye is sore. It's not red, but is really dry so I've optrexed it to the point of drowning. fluffy I do hope catching eye problems from t'interweb is impossible 👀🤭

I used to watch cricket with my dad. I was conscious he'd have liked me to be a boy, so wanted to do stuff with him!

I've been to the allotment. It was too frozen to get my parsnips out of the ground so I shovelled shit for a while then left. I'm on the way to Lidl now to buy bird food and seeds.

It's definitely windy. I got hit in the face by dust from the shit pile. Yay! I shall use it to line my potato trenches!

Maybe it's cross stitcher's eye, Boots?! I hope it's better soon, anyway.

fluffy dunno, couldn't sleep the other day so I was sewing at 4am. It's better now, still a bit dry.
DH's mate phoned, he said he's been vaccinated, but he nearly refused and only had it because he's got a cruise booked. 🤦🏻‍♀️

We're onto group six vaccinations round here.

The skin around my eyes is really dry and sore but my eyes themselves are ok
