Just that really. Do you have a special ‘Christmas Eve meal? Takeaway? Buffet?

Our tradition Christmas Eve was a nice pub tea.

Yes, same here, but not many places open on Christmas Eve now I've moved area.

Spaghetti with olives, lemon and cream.

We had spaghetti with pesto. And French bread.

Was v nice!

Pate en croute, red cabbage and dauphinois potatoes.

Christmas Eve always has to be something that will go with red cabbage!

Turkey and trimmings... to get the stress out of the way.

I had a rushed down 'meal' of crackers, crisps and dips before coming to work! :)

We were meant to cook a ham - it was supposed to arrive mid afternoon. It arrived at 7.30 so instead we had smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, champagne and panna cotta. Was lovely and so quick! The smoked salmon and champagne were gifts from the friend whose cat we are feeding over Christmas. Ham has been moved to Boxing Day!

I'm thinking next year, after seeing what my friend had last night, is do the ham for Christmas Eve and any left can be for Christmas dinner or Boxing Day.
