Just that really. Do you have a special ‘Christmas Eve meal? Takeaway? Buffet?

Pizza delivery. No washing up. Really enjoyed it.

A dodgy prawn and now I'm 🤢🤢

We always have seafood. It was a hot version tonight with scallops, prawns and mussels in white wine. With freshly baked bread.

Leftover curry!

We usually have a family dinner with my grandma. We've had pies from the butcher, Chinese, salmon. This year we can't see my grandma and none of us could be arsed to do anything fancy so we had takeaway from a Greek place.

Home made filo pastry filled with spinach, feta, pine nuts, sun dried tomatoes and fresh herbs. It was lovely. And rosé prosecco.

We had turkey with all the trimmings & it was amazing 😁

Party food here, same every year!

Keralan takeaway.

We had pizzas (spinach and garlic mushroom; veggie and feta/caramelised onion) with a huge salad, coleslaws, and an unearthed platter which has a spicy tomato dip with bruscetta, artichoke, cauliflower and olives. It was fab and barely involved any cooking!! Then we shared a tub of Heroes for after.

Haddock fish cakes (Sainsbury’s best) a mixed pack of asparagus, broccoli and sugar snap peas, and jacket potatoes. Zero faff, and v nice.

Usually I make a huge fish pie for the hordes, so this made a lovely relaxed change.

For years we did a 'festive sausage casserole' in homage to my now gone mother. We'd traipse the 20 miles to hers as a family for a lovely festive Xmas Eve get-together; so she'd pull out all the stops- and, sausage casserole it was 😂

Then they'd come to us on Xmas Day when I'd Do Christmas.

We broke with it this year, and DH did steak and chips.

Lovely.

All our favourite snacks in a buffet: party food, crackers, cheese, meats, crudités and hummus!

Me and dh had home made cottage pie. DS had pimped up supermarket pizza and vegan DD just had beans on toast.

Salt and pepper chips from chippy cos worked till silly o'clock.....and 4 cans of cider !

I went to loads of effort making a honey glazed gammon....just needed sides making.

Had a really shit & long day- so ordered Chinese when I left work and it was ready by the time I got there! So glad I did. Then drank a lot of wine...and feel calmed. Merry Christmas one and all.
