I haven't seen this thread yet and it's one I enjoy - the annual game of fridge jenga!

Here is ours - no meat in there yet so not sure where that is going to fit 😬

There is lots of booze & juice as well as prawn cocktail, squirty cream & double cream, red cabbage, Savoy cabbage, sprouts, a gazillion cheeses

Mine isn't overly stacked this year...it's just me a DD (16) and the Christmas Dinner stuff is either in the freezer or at my parents (round the corner, Tier 2 and I'm their carer before anyone jumps on me).

I always stock up with cheese, tapas, salad and party food so I can avoid cooking as much as possible aside from Christmas and New Years days.

Christ there’s some right miseries on here today. You mustn’t have a good Christmas guys because someone out there has it worse off than you.

That Home Edit fridge gives me the heebie newbies. Only a psychopaths fridge looks like that 3 days before Christmas.

Goldistheanswer · 22/12/2020 11:19

We had the main shop delivered yesterday evening and teenager has already consumed a good third of it overnight!

formerbabe · 22/12/2020 11:20

Sorry but I'm not buying the scrimping and saving line to fill up my huge American style fridge freezer with booze, seafood and meat line. It's really insulting to people who are genuinely scrimping and saving.

OooErrThor · 22/12/2020 11:21

This thread pops up every year, not sure how others have missed it. I personally love Christmas Fridge Tetris.

Everyone is different, some people have more than others - that's life

Happy Christmas Xmas Smile

We’ve got a good amount of food but haven’t gone mad as we aren’t having anyone over... but every time I go out I panic I’ve left the fridge door open, never had this fear before!!!

ChristmasFridgeJenga · 22/12/2020 11:24

I love this thread. It's one of my Christmas highlights Xmas Smile

JorisBonson · 22/12/2020 11:24

@JorisBonson I hoard mince pies too. About to make some with the kids as well Grin

MrsWhites · 22/12/2020 11:26

My DD got the ‘get out of the fridge, that’s for Christmas’ shout yesterday...she came out of the kitchen and said ‘yes, I feel all Christmassy now you’ve said that’ 😂

canihaveacoffeeplease · 22/12/2020 11:27

I thought my fridge was full, that is incredible!! I think I'm jealous. I do have 2 fridges though, so that makes the kitchen one more empty. Still to do the big shop, so mine will look all holly jolly soon!

MrsWhites · 22/12/2020 11:27

@JorisBonson you’ve got to try the Costco mince pies!!

I asked him which has been his favourite so far, his reply was "I'm not ready to release my thesis yet" 🙄😂

And fridge submission...it's only half full, but again I have to pull everything to the front for DH so it looks full! 😂

@formerbabe - are you a food bank user? Is that why this upsets you?

SparklingLime · 22/12/2020 11:44

@Backbee

There are people struggling to feed families all year, every year. Was the thread in bad taste last year?

People only care now that it's affecting people that have always considered there income as secure before. Can't remember that much outrage about the pittance carers, those who are disabled, or who are out of work often for reasons beyond their control because they're often marginalised anyway and don't have much of a voice in society.

Anyway, looks like a good selection OP, I need to sort the fridge before shopping, found a forgotten cucumber that went off in Oct which was a sign.

Some people, not everyone.

No. But what a rude passive aggressive question.
