Thanks @raindropsonrosesand for the title

I just accidentally set up the thread in the wrong talk board 🤦🏻‍♀️!

Think this will be the thread with Christmas Day on it. I hope all of you have wonderful christmases (well, as wonderful as possible atm) and everyone enjoys all the bargains and you’ve saved money. We’ve been quite careful this year and I’ve definitely saved even more money than usual!

Keep an eye on the sales, I’m assuming the actual shops, given many are closed in the SE atm, will have pretty mega discounts to shift stock once they’re reopened.

You’ve all kept me sane in a slightly insane world this year, here’s to next year Brew Wine Thanks

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Tesco have reduced packs of Christmas things. I've just bought six packs of 20 cards, two packs of 4 ribbons, two packs of bows and two bottle bags for a otal of £2.22!! Grin

Bottl · 04/01/2021 13:46

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the posters on these threads. I bought ds a velvetiser on the qvc deal and it has been used every day since Christmas - either by ds or me. I was thinking I'd made a mistake just before Christmas as I have a milk warmer that I had with a coffee machine a few years ago but the velvetiser is on a whole other level - it's marvellous! So much so, I think I'm going to get one for dsis next Christmas.

mememeee · 04/01/2021 14:31

@Bottl Yes the velvetiser is great. I got the qvc deal for dh before Xmas and he wanted to give one to his sister.

woodwaj · 04/01/2021 14:38

@sorryiasked the angry birds stuff was just what I was looking for! Thanks for the heads up!

Bottl · 04/01/2021 14:43

I hope they'll have a similar deal later in the year

TinyTroubleMaker · 04/01/2021 17:20

unfortunateevents · 05/01/2021 17:27

If anyone’s looking for funky leggings similar to Kukubird, ‘Jenny Juice’ has loads, from £6 (half price), I ordered some for me and dd today.

Beadley · 06/01/2021 17:27

I just got a PayPal refund for my Bodum teapot bargain Confused No other info. I was looking forward to getting that.

sorryiasked · 06/01/2021 19:54

@Beadley my bodum order has been in Portugal since 18th December. DHL tracking says parcel not received, shipping method changed. Bodum say dhl have got the parcel and are just dealing with a back log. They've offered a refund but I really want the items I ordered so hoping they might arrive in time for next xmas Hmm

unfortunateevents · 06/01/2021 21:05

Bodum are one of many European companies who are not currently delivering to the UK, due to the new customs and VAT restrictions because of Brexit. Their website now says that they can't deliver to the UK. It may be a temporary restriction but that could be months rather than weeks so I wouldn't bet on getting that teapot unfortunately.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 06/01/2021 22:44

I received my Bodum order a few days ago so there is still hope!!

Has anyone had problems with Amazon and the 2 for £7 offer please? I've spoken to an Amazon associate as I couldn't get it to work but they also couldn't get it to work for me, even though the books I'd chosen were on the list. I asked for credit on my account so I'd end up paying £7 but Amazon have refused :(

sorryiasked · 08/01/2021 23:08

@PinkDaydreams did you definitely choose Amazon as the seller?
Have you tried with a different pair of books to see if that works?
Cleared your cookies?

Tried all of that, the Amazon colleague tried doing it too and it still would not work. I've received an email through the night with a refund for the difference though so he must have raised it with someone else as he originally said he couldn't add credit to my account or refund or offer an explanation either

Are you only trying to buy two books at a time? I find that I can only get it to work if I buy each set of two separately.
PinkDaydreams · 09/01/2021 13:43

Yes it was two books, I'd had a few other things in my basket so I started again with just the two books. Very strange that the offer wouldn't work and also that the gent at Amazon didn't know why it wouldn't work for me either.

mummabear74 · 12/01/2021 10:34

Has everyone who ordered Oodies received theirs yet? Ordered one for DD with despatch on 30 December but no further communication and I've tried messaging them and emailing but no response so far.

villamariavintrapp · 12/01/2021 11:44

Anyone else order from Jaques London and not received it? I ordered on 16th December, money taken then, but still no sign, no response to their contact us form, no response to email, and I see on Facebook lots of messages saying same thing-no customer service. Shame as was trying to use smaller companies and not just amazon, but obviously won't use them again!

PinkDaydreams · 16/01/2021 18:46

Hello!
Does anyone know of any sports direct codes please? I think they're cheeky charging £5 for delivery!!
