Thanks @raindropsonrosesand for the title

I just accidentally set up the thread in the wrong talk board 🤦🏻‍♀️!

Think this will be the thread with Christmas Day on it. I hope all of you have wonderful christmases (well, as wonderful as possible atm) and everyone enjoys all the bargains and you’ve saved money. We’ve been quite careful this year and I’ve definitely saved even more money than usual!

Keep an eye on the sales, I’m assuming the actual shops, given many are closed in the SE atm, will have pretty mega discounts to shift stock once they’re reopened.

You’ve all kept me sane in a slightly insane world this year, here’s to next year Brew Wine Thanks

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@dancemom, how about these: www.jakeshoes.co.uk/kids-banzai-2976-chelsea-boots-in-black-patent-banzai-chelsea-blkp

dancemom · 25/12/2020 16:25

@ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy thanks, not the exact ones I had ordered, they don't have the yellow stitching but will have to be good enough 👍🏼

ThatsMySantaHisBeardIsSoFluffy · 25/12/2020 16:27

I hadn't noticed the stitching! Xmas Smile

Sideorderofchips · 25/12/2020 17:33

Sooo anyone else started for 2021?

HoHoHolyMackerel · 25/12/2020 17:53

@Sideorderofchips urm.. No...that would be crazy.... Right Blush

thelegohooverer · 25/12/2020 18:01

Thank you Reastie and thank you ALL so much for the bargains, good cheer and lovely, lovely threads. Hope you’re all having a wonderful Christmas.

@Sideorderofchips [whispers] me

Sideorderofchips · 25/12/2020 18:12

Glad I'm not the only crazy one 😂😂

Lovemusic33 · 25/12/2020 18:48

I’m already shopping the sales but not for next Christmas 🤣, if anyone sees a nice teddy coat (green/grey and mid length) let me know.

Still waiting for my debit card to be replaced but managed to find a empty credit card to use.

TwnklTwnklLittleStarfighter · 25/12/2020 18:58

I’m finding the sales a little disappointing as they don’t live up to the same level of discount as before Christmas. Example - bought myself some gorgeous Seasalt PJs before Christmas with 25% discount and 8% cashback. I wanted to get another pair and they are now in the sale at 20% off. I still bought them because the difference is only a few pounds and they are really nice, but there’s no massive incentive.

Vebrithien · 26/12/2020 08:41

Just wanted to pop back and say THANK YOU to everyone who has contributed to these threads, and especially @YuleAreBeingUnREASTIEable

It's been a tough year, and on maternity pay, every little saving helps.

The hits so far have been...

Melissa and Doug pet hand puppets. Thank you so much, whoever found this first, and then anyone who posted when they were down in price. DN (1.5) absolutely adored them, won't let go and kept trying to take them to bed with her.

The £2 Sipsmith gin set, via John Lewis, with the £10 off voucher. DBIL was very happy.

5 for £18 on the Huggee (spelling?) bands. Wouldn't have paid full price, but made lovely gifts, especially as they can be used as a face covering.

Playmobil pyramid bundle, from their website, with a free gift, 10% for new customers and free delivery. £70 of Playmobil, for £36 delivered. DD (4) is over the moon, it's all she's asked for since the summer.

Lastly, thanks to whoever shared about Pendragon hot chocolate. Fairly local to us, tastes divine, so many lovely flavours.

Thank you, hope you had had as lovely a Christmas as was possible. It's been such a lovely community on here, in a year where it has really mattered.

mummymilkfloat · 26/12/2020 10:22

Hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday!
I don’t post very often but wanted to say thanks for all the help, the hand puppets and the ice cream cart are especially popular here. And I asked for help for my SIL and a couple of people recommended Mason Cash bowls which I’d never heard of, she loves it so much ❤️
Thanks for being such a kindhearted group of bargain hunters, stay happy and healthy in 2021

Lolly34h · 26/12/2020 11:38

Well the cinnamon buns were a triumph and the puppets my 2 year old loves! Also the sylvanian families red roof is also a hit. Enjoyed being able to clear my gift tracker this morning and setting up for next year! One gift already got because the age on it was too old for the baby this year.......... Merry Christmas everyone hope your day was filled with as much joy and love as mine and my childrens x

Lovemusic33 · 26/12/2020 11:47

Biggest hit so far is ‘rush hour’ with dd2, she doesn’t play games with others due to her ASD and not wanting to lose, having a game she can play on her own has made her happy.

handmademitlove · 26/12/2020 12:00

@Lovemusic33 My DD is similar - I recommend genius square for next year. You can either play it on your own or with 2 players.

That looks fab, I might get it for her birthday, I got her Colour block sudoku too which she likes (not as much as rush hour).

AndddddHerewegoagain · 26/12/2020 19:19

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas. I almost laughed out loud when we opened my daughters present and they were..... the puppets! Didn't realise sil was on here waves

Thanks to everyone for the bargains, especially the m and s gin!!

Emails of sales I've had so far....

Debenhams,
john Lewis,
matalan (good range and stock)
Baker ross
Pound toy

LockdownRomance · 26/12/2020 20:24

I started yesterday getting birthday/Xmas present. I got from Amazon warehouse a Lego set bargain. I hope it's not too bashed. If it's really bad I might just give it as is. £13 for a discontinued Lego Star Wars set isn't too bad .

villamariavintrapp · 26/12/2020 21:01

One hundred stars have a sale on, kimonos from £24. Not sure if this the place for bargains just now, or do we wait till next year? Happy Christmas everyone anyway!

Foggyday124 · 26/12/2020 21:04

My boys loved playing Saboteur this evening, which Was suggested here and a bargain at some point. Worth keeping an eye on it for presents/your children.

Ewock · 26/12/2020 21:41

Thank you so much everybody. The puppets, sipsmith gin, candles and a huge list of other bargains. My family so happy with everything.
A quick question, I wasn't quite as organised with wine and have only 1 bottle in after all those 25% of supermarket offers I could kick myself. Does anyone have any codes for Laithwaites at all? Thanks so much

sorryiasked · 26/12/2020 22:01

Adding my thanks for all the bargains.

playmobil SWAT van £29.99

Thread 27 - Would appreciate any other ideas for ninja-move dolls
thisisexhausting · 26/12/2020 23:55

Another thanks to. Everyone for your suggestions and bargains! I usually appear ( lurk) around September, so I'll see you all next year! Grin

Fubbs · 27/12/2020 09:34

Thanks to all the bargains posted here, I've found something even teen DS approved of!

I've been searching all morning but can't find where the Christmas ribbons (I think from China??) were recommended?? Can anyone help, please?

Howmanysleepsnow · 27/12/2020 09:47

Thanks everyone for everything, and hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

sorryiasked · 27/12/2020 16:16
