Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Arty 11 year old camera stuff, graphics drawing pad, printer or unusual papers for printer like magnetic, tattoo etc. spoonflower (print your own fabric designs) gift set

Traditional style kindle isn't so much a 'screen' as the fire type

TickleMyTitsTilFriday · 16/12/2020 07:58

Does anyone know how to get an Instax mini cheaper at all? They are down in price already but I wondered if there are any shop-specific savings? Thank you!

Scout2016 · 16/12/2020 08:05

Thanks @Avoca76 I didn't want to risk a present that starts great then disappoints!

Dolphintrainer · 16/12/2020 08:10

Matalan 20% code in store or online - one time use -

@jingleballing

Not completely bargain related but possibly could be ! Can anyone help me out please? I've had a look through all the presents for the dc and am starting to really panic ! Lots for dd2 and dd3 but hardly anything for dd1 -

she's 11 years old (12 in March) so just started secondary school.
Very much into her art and drawing
Loves reading. Devours books. A huge Harry Potter fan (but has lots of Harry Potter stuff already) so that type of book would be good. Possibly a kindle ? But it's another screen isn't it, that's the worry there. We are running out of bookshelf space though, her books take up one entire bookshelf in the playroom. Also, a book is a book isn't it ! The feel and smell of a book is unparalleled ! Will she feel that way too though? I don't know . She has recently been bought an expensive laptop by dh for school work so doesn't need a device.

Her Amazon wish list was 100% art supplies which I've ordered but it's almost like stocking filler type of things such as mechanical pencils and kneadable rubbers (whatever that may be, she doesn't get her artistic gene from me Grin)

Very very stuck and panicking now ! Please help!

when i was that age i and a lot of girls i knew loved the cassandra clare mortal instruments series, they are really good books for tween/teen girls imo
TheGirlWhoLived · 16/12/2020 08:32

@DillieDoily thanks for the Mac tip- they have reduced all their Christmas gift sets by ⅓ - I couldn’t get any of the offer codes to stack with it but I got 12 mini lipsticks for £46 which is an absolute steal!

mummyof2boys30 · 16/12/2020 08:43

Argos have xbox in stock for anyone still trying

Iwillneverbesatisfied · 16/12/2020 09:15

and that's me done! whoo hooo!

Must not twitch!

jingleballing · 16/12/2020 09:28

Gosh just logged on, thank you so much all the ideas for my arty dd, you lot are the best !

Will have a look into all the suggestions, the light box sounds particularly good. The instax we looked into for her last birthday but she opted for a 'proper' camera which she video journaled on during lockdown - ( i still can't watch some of those videos back as it makes me emotional !) besides that, the lightening bolt also sounds great as do all the crafty ideas , will definitely look and let you all know what I ended up getting Xmas Smile for you all a big socially distanced hug and CakeBrew

recklessgran · 16/12/2020 10:04

BUYAGIFT have £10 off a £20 or over spend today only with code XMAS10 today only.

Flackattack · 16/12/2020 10:10

Just a heads up on Matalan - they are clearly struggling with orders - have a look at comments on Facebook and Instagram! Their customer service phone lines have been switched off.
I ordered a few bits over a week ago, one item got cancelled with no message, another item was missing and another had security tags on it and the advice after much chasing was to take it to store - but I can’t get to store and they have t replied!

Adelais · 16/12/2020 10:14

Trying so hard not to twitch!

Some board games on my Amazon wishlist are reduced today;

Disney Colourbrain £13.49 amzn.to/3gQ1ZnL

The Blockbuster Game £12 amzn.to/3af0uOD

The Chameleon Board Game £ 16.87 amzn.to/3oWMcGy

£5 off a £25 spend at the entertainer with code 5OFF25

TimeToCloseTheDoor · 16/12/2020 10:35

Morning all. Do we have a NEOM code at all?

I also need some GANT boxers or Tommy please.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 16/12/2020 10:40

any pusheen fans? The entertainer has loads of merchandise super cheap! Just bought pip and stormy plush for £3.75 instead of £15. Dinosaur pusheen for £6.75 instead of £20. They also had reduced sloth, narwhal, seal. Plus bath bombs for £1, pom pom making kit for £2.50 and other crafty sets. Plus toki doki unicorns, boo the dog, gund baby plushes all heavily reduced. Plus line friends for £3 (if you happen to also be local to the new Artbox cafe, im wrapping with a made up ticket to visit!)

Haveyoubrushedyourteeth · 16/12/2020 10:42

@jingleballing if you're looking for something visually big, but very reasonable price wise, then a set of watercolours/acrylic/ or oils and various sizes of canvases have always gone down very well with my arty dd's.

wherethewavesarehighest · 16/12/2020 11:04

Thank you so much everyone! I don't talk much on the threads but I have been following for 6 years Shock I have just finished and apart from a twitch I've come in on budget.
These threads have been more than bargains for me this year as with a lot of other people probably. I'd just like to say have a nice christmas everyone and thanks again Xmas Smile

Golden coin maker just seen in Wilkos in their 2for £20 offers

FizzyPink · 16/12/2020 11:31

Does anyone have a code for Cote at Home? I can’t see anything on the referral thread

Eddmr · 16/12/2020 11:33

Just wrapped the small stocking presents in sweetie bags. A different colour for each child. So much easier. Thank you for the tip. I have enough bags to last until the children are approximately 40!!

Not sure if anyone is still missing their roomba from Aldi (Black Friday) but I called them earlier and asked them to cancel. It's nowhere to be seen and not trackable. They should be cancelling.

runningpink · 16/12/2020 12:35

Anyone got any top tips for bidding for something on ebay?

I have only ever done ‘buy now’ so a bit clueless if there is a way to be more successful by bidding.

They’re unlikely to drop much more, try Urban Outfitters, you might find a 10 off code when you browse their site
uniqlo · 16/12/2020 12:39

Thank you @Adelais! I missed the Waterstones deal on the Chameleon board game but I've had my eye on it since. That was pretty much the last thing to get for me! Though of course I'll still be checking this thread daily Xmas Grin

Do it with 20 seconds to go, put your maximum bid plus a random few pence e.g. £30.17, cross your fingers!
