Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Sorry the leopards are not minky topped! They're French Terry topped with a velour back

SkintSanta · 14/12/2020 01:13

I also have some of the white leopard print in minky and some bamboo I think upstairs, if not fleece and would be happy to overlocker some to the same dimensions?

flutterbean · 14/12/2020 04:18

You're welcome @thaegumathteth hope your dd enjoys them 😊

SomethingInTheWaySheCooks · 14/12/2020 07:43

@eitak22 The Locket Tree is lovely and offers inscription. I purchased a beautiful locket there about a year ago and they put all our photos inside and inscribed it.

WhereTheresAHill · 14/12/2020 08:18

I have a 20% off Matalan voucher (excludes kids wear) if anyone would like it Xmas Smile

JoHo123 · 14/12/2020 08:21

Can we talk about the Garry Potter dolls @nocutsnobuttsnococonuts has found in Lidl? Is he Harry’s long lost twin? Or is it a spin off series? Xmas Smile

Made me chuckle this morning!

@SewVeryLazy

I thought I was done but my 3yr old has just told our neighbour that the only thing father Christmas is bringing her is wipes for her dolls like the ones we use on her. I've attached a photo. They were cheeky wipes a couple of years ago, no longer on their website (I've emailed the company just in case). They are minky/bamboo. Unlikely I know that anyone here will magically discover some (I've tried eBay) but thought it was worth a punt. My 5yr old will notice if ours suddenly change when she gets them, so buying different ones and putting ours in her stocking wont work. Worst case I'll order some the same materials and different pattern and just tell her that he couldn't get the same, but thought I'd give it a punt.
I have minky cheeky wipes in a different pattern

I'm still using them, as have a DD due in 10 days, but happy to post you one or two if you want to cut them into a few smaller dolls ones?

SparklingLime · 14/12/2020 09:29

Gary Potter has finished me!! 😂😂

SilkieAndMoonface · 14/12/2020 09:42

@restlessinthenorth if they like bingo, you could look at some of the series including Bird Bingo, Dog Bingo, etc. Beautiful illustrations, and my children enjoy playing.
Here is dog bingo at WHSmiths reduced a bit. here

Bridecilla · 14/12/2020 09:51

@restlessinthenorth my son loves bingo - he's got one of the plastic cage caller boards.

I've just bought these from Amazon (came via Royal Mail though?) for his stocking

SpamIAm · 14/12/2020 09:51

@SewVeryLazy could you sacrifice one to cut into four smaller ones for her doll?

EnglishRose1320 · 14/12/2020 10:03

So I fell off these threads a few back, felt confident I was nearly done, but I'm back with a query, anyone know how to get hold of Hype, my order has not arrived. They currently don't have a chat feature on the website, not got messenger on facebook and no phone number. I've emailed and you just get a standard reply saying it will take 10 days to deal with any enquires. Don't want to risk waiting 10 days and still not have the backpack needed.
I just want to cancel now and use the money to buy a different backpack but I've never known it be so hard to get hold of a company. Definitely won't be ordering from them again.

Fuckingfuckssake · 14/12/2020 10:12

Did anyone order with Whittards last week? It's been Six days and I haven't even had a confirmation email yet? It's tracked on TCB so I know I definitely did it.

HollyandIvyandallthingsYule · 14/12/2020 10:16

@Fuckingfuckssake I’ve had a confirmation email each time so that’s unusual but their orders do take a while to be dispatched. It took at least a week and a half to receive the first order I made (in November). The order I made in December was a little quicker I think.

I have some, they are well loved but have only ever been used as flannels for the DC's. How many are you after? And I can see what I can find and pop them in the post?
shipperssss · 14/12/2020 10:55

I have these three @SewVeryLazy if you want to PM me your address I can get them posted tomorrow for you?

Thread 26 - the one with the last minute panic buys
SewVeryLazy · 14/12/2020 10:56

@shipperssss are they the same pattern? If so just 2 or 3 would be fantastic if you can find them.

@TakeMeToYourLiar , @SkintSanta thank you for the offers, that is kind of you, she wants the same pattern unfortunately (I was planning to just make her some in my own time, but she apparently has other ideas)
@SpamIAm she uses full size ones and is very particular about details so I don't think she'd accept a cut up one, should have done that with the first one then she'd already have enough, lol

SewVeryLazy · 14/12/2020 10:57

@shipperssss brilliant, thank you, I will PM you now. I never cease to be amazed how wonderful this thread is :)

Foggyday124 · 14/12/2020 11:02

SewVeryLazy thank you very much!

Dreamingofwalden · 14/12/2020 11:18

@SewVeryLazy and @shipperssss Christmas spirit is alive and well. I live hearing the chat about cloth wipes. Grin

The mentions of Tipperary are also cheering me up @teaorwine I long to go back to Clonmel so hearing the name is just lovely. I can’t wait to take my boys to Cashel, Clonmel, Cahir and all the beautiful countryside around. Smile

@17caterpillars1mouse Thanks for the suggestions. I hadn’t considered Brio but they do love their older brothers Brio garage. I’ve added lots of Brio to the wish list. I chatted to my husband last night and we decided to not buy anything till after Christmas- we’ll wait to see what other people buy them. They are one and won’t notice the difference and I think an Amazon voucher is safe.

SkintSanta · 14/12/2020 11:56

@SewVeryLazy no probs, glad you're sorted! Xmas Grin

princessbear80 · 14/12/2020 13:54

Saw this online and thought of you all Xmas Grin

sugarplumfairy2010 · 14/12/2020 14:44

Aghhh! Just realised I let the 7yr old wrap all the babies presents so she doesn't have anything from santa. So need to get one or two bits to wrap otherwise her big sister will wonder why santa hasn't bought her anything. She will be 4 months so would love some ideas. She's already getting a jumperoo, jellycat dog, wooden personalised rattle, oli and Carol radish teether and some grapat stacking bowls.

TheGriffle · 14/12/2020 14:47

@sugarplumfairy2010 how about baby books, treasure basket, sensory balls?
