Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@buckeejit I got a sherpskinci er from Celtic as a gift, and a Shepherd one for myself. The Shepherd one is much nicer IMO. Very soft and supple where as the Celtic one is harder. I would definitely recommend. They have them here.

@WeAreTheWeirdosMister genius idea to use Trello for gifts! I use it all the time for work, but didn’t think of that.

Luxplus · 30/11/2020 15:09
@Luxplus Are/were the Rainbowcorn and Present Pets on offer somewhere? Both are on my daughter’s list
Yes got both on the german site of Amazon , paid 27£ for each and free delivery

Oldmrswasherwoman · 30/11/2020 15:19

Does anyone have any ideas for what I can buy my parents (60s) this year? I normally spend around £40 - in a normal year I'd get them tickets for theatre or a performance etc or gift vouchers but didn't want to risk it this year. Did a M&S hamper last year. Had the idea of getting a chiminea/firepit for the garden since outdoor entertaining seems to be the way forward but they are all out of stock everywhere or extortionate. I'm stumped, any ideas much appreciated.

How fab! I've never seen those before. Thank you!

TheLastStarfighter · 30/11/2020 15:28

@Oldmrswasherwoman a quick Google throws up a few in stock.

@Ginandsonic

I'm looking for something for an 11yo boy, very clever, likes maths, wants to be an engineer, is permanently glued to YouTube. Budget around £30. Something that gets his face out of a screen would be preferable Grin
Have you considered the Hotwires set?

Its a bit over your budget but I am hoping the price reduces a little more before Christmas, currently £44.99 on Amazon.

Gravitrax sets reduced again on Amazon, though not the started set unfortunately!

17caterpillars1mouse · 30/11/2020 15:43

Dd1 has a large Teddy bear that is around 60cm so large but not huge and dd2 has taken a real liking to it. I would like to get her one as an extra for her boxing day birthday but need it to be cheap as I've already bought her presents. Any ideas of where to look?

The big starter set is on offer, I paid a similar price a couple weeks ago when it was on offer here

Hotel Chocolat calendars 2 for £10 apparently & next day delivery appears to be possible here order by 6pm.

buckeejit · 30/11/2020 15:51

@Oldmrswasherwoman I bought dh a cheapie like this from amazon & has been used quite a few times in the back yard. Would leave some spare for logs or electric hot water bottles to go with it!
@TheSilentStars I ordered from Debenhams on Tuesday and it arrived Saturday, fingers crossed your order arrives as quick.
That's good. I've always had such a soft spot for Debs from when we used to go to the big town for winter coats! I hope they survive.

Sorry, I just meant the 3d style with the ears. That is absolutely perfect! Thank you so much 💓

Wet Brushes only £7ish including delivery plus free mini wet brush. Lots of Disney Princess designs as well as plain ones. These hair brushes have honestly seriously reduced the amount of tears and tantrums at hair brushing time in our house

CoffeeAndEnnui · 30/11/2020 16:56

@Cantdecidewhich, a little dish to keep her crystals and bits in might be cool for your white witch friend. If you know her birthday to work out her star sign, then this little set is rather gorgeous. And exactly £15 with free delivery.

Alternatively, Lisa Angel does a lovely moon dish which can be personalised. It's £14 on her site but delivery is only free at the £15 point so to save you buying another item this is the £15 Etsy listing with free postage.

Lolly12 · 30/11/2020 17:08

Dd has put a pogo stick on her list. Anyone recommend a decent one for a nearly 8 year old fairly tall for her age? Don’t want to spend that much as won’t be her main present.

Costco have these gin baubles for £11.59 for 9 with free delivery and don’t think you need to be a Costco member. I ordered a set yesterday but now looks like you have to order two sets minimum. Still a good deal maybe if you have someone to buy for a birthday in next couple of weeks.

IggyAce · 30/11/2020 17:22

@TheSilentStars I remember going to the cafe with my Nanna when little. I also got my wedding dress from them, I too hope they survive.

TheLastStarfighter · 30/11/2020 17:30

@Fuckingfuckssake I’ve been stalking Home Bargains for those little biscuits for gifts. I can’t see them on the website and have looked through pretty much every page. Probably I have just missed them again, but if you can see them can you link to them please?

CoffeethenCrochet · 30/11/2020 17:32

Any gift suggestions for a 10 year old girl that I can post without costing a fortune, our families haven't met up this year as cannot travel so not sure what she's in to at the moment. Budget for the gift is £15
