Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.

Has anyone seen any decent, trendy, winter coats at a good price?

Puffalicious · 02/12/2020 21:19

TheSilentStars that's a bit concerning! How awful! I've never had anything like that, thankfully, but will certainly watch out for it.
BalaamsAss Paddywax Charles Dickens sounds interesting, I must look into that.

lotusbell I cannot believe you've just said that! I love Badedas gel! Perhaps that's why I love the candles!Shock. DH uses the bath gel and teen DS likes the shower gel! I have never made the connection but I'm away to sniff it out!!!

SparklingLime · 02/12/2020 21:20

Can anyone recommend some earpod headphone with a budget of no more than £40

SparklingLime · 02/12/2020 21:23

It didn’t occur to me either, @Annie1290. I hope you find one. Would reconditioned be an option?

BalaamsAss · 02/12/2020 21:25

@Puffalicious the Paddywax Mark Twain candle is my all time favourite, but the Charles Dickens one is lovely and Christmassy

Puffalicious · 02/12/2020 21:28

Zoolally DH bought this for me (I sent him the link!) after reading about the sale on these threads. It's just amazing, just what I was looking for. My size now sold out but depends on what you need. Loads of others on the website too. www.mountainwarehouse.com/cosy-wrap-womens-down-jacket-p25471.aspx/Black/?utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=BRAND+UK+SHOPPING&utm_term=&utm_content=s|pcrid|356208938570|pkw||pmt||pdv|m|slid||product|031624005007|&gclid=Cj0KCQiAk53-BRD0ARIsAJuNhps6HMvgi82pCYCMVr56h3R3wbAYhyg4rrLvk2tcxZ17VqXhw5yvRfYaApK3EALw_wcBmountainwarehouse

Puffalicious · 02/12/2020 21:28

Don't know why my links are going all crazy!

Puffalicious · 02/12/2020 21:29

BalaamsAss I'm on it like a bonnet!

Mumto3thatsme · 02/12/2020 21:33

Has anyone had experiences with amazon warehouse.
Something I’m looking for is on there it says

Buy used: very good . Minor cosmetic imperfection on the item. Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged.

How damaged are we thinking? Too damaged to give to ds 10 as a gift?

TheSilentStars · 02/12/2020 21:34

Off to look for Paddywax candles now!
The St Eval customer service person was lovely and I feel almost guilty for contacting them and I'm sure it's just a dodgy batch- certainly never had it with any candle before, even really cheap ones.

Buyagift £10 off a £20+ spend with DECEMBER. Just bought another 3 course meal voucher.

Penguinbeaver · 02/12/2020 21:39

Xmas Shock i thought i was done. I was done. That was until my ds6 decided to tell me he wasn't writing his Father Christmas letter this year because he had already TELEPATHICALLY told him weeks ago that he wanted a drone. Please please someone recommend a decent but child friendly drone!

The4ks · 02/12/2020 21:49

@janeyjimplin
I got my sons gaming chair from wayfair.
Not sure if there were actual x rocker ones but absolutely loads to choose from.
Usually a 10% off voucher around too.

sorryiasked · 02/12/2020 21:49

@Mumto3thatsme I've had mixed luck with warehouse, one thing I couldn't fund anything wrong with the packaging at all, another thing was so badly damaged on the packaging that I sent it back as it was way more than mentioned in the description.
Do you have time to order and see what it's like?

Mumto3thatsme · 02/12/2020 21:59

Yes I do.
I’ve never done returns to amazon before, is it easy if necessary?
It’s an item that seems quite popular and although it’s not a big saving any saving helps right now.
I’ll go for it and see how I get on
Thanks

lotusbell · 02/12/2020 22:02

@Puffalicious, me too! I had wanted to try it for ages and have ended up buying that one and all 4 of the Christmas range Blush
My first thought was "ooooh Badedas! Excellent!". Not what I was expecting but gorgeous. Think.i have a bottle somewhere, I will be using that in my next shower if I find it!

Flackattack · 02/12/2020 22:14

My Aldi velvetiser has been dispatched! I bought some M&S salted caramel hot chocolate flakes and we’ve used them all already! They were epic!
I want the hotel Chocolat box but not willing to pay delivery does anyone have a code?
Where else do people recommend hot chocolate flakes from? Grin

1stMrsF · 02/12/2020 22:16

I've not had a Aldi velvetiser despatch yet!

Queuing4Fergs · 02/12/2020 22:16

@JaneyJimplin I started a thread on gaming chairs last week as was having a shocker sourcing one (in fact needed 2). I found them in the end at Argos as it seems they come back into stock from time to time. I'm picking them up on Friday! I found there were plenty of junior size chairs around but I needed adult sizes for my lanky boys

TheGirlWhoLived · 02/12/2020 22:19

@Flackattack does freedel30 still work for hotel chocolat?

Jedstre · 02/12/2020 22:20
@Jedstre This one seems to be in stock?
Thank youXmas Smile @InTropicalTrumpsLand. I’ve no idea how I didn’t spot that one and it’s in stock near me! I’ve ordered it so that’s another present off the list.

MWestie · 02/12/2020 22:22

@Whydidimarryhim thanks for that, I wasn't signed up but someone else mentioned it so am definitely going to now.

msssm · 02/12/2020 22:25
@Jedstre A 'normal' computer desk should do the same job- DH and I are pc gamers and use proper office desks and chairs for ergonomics. Maybe look in Ikea for a dark coloured one?
I would second IKEA my son had his eye on a dark grey corner one a while ago. Has to wait till we move unfortunately or I'd have had it, was cheap as I recall.

Flackattack · 02/12/2020 22:28

@TheGirlWhoLived it does! Thank you

DillieDoily · 02/12/2020 22:32

@Mumto3thatsme I've bought quite a few things from Amazon warehouse and haven't been able to tell what/where the damage is- the packaging has always been totally fine for a gift
