Thanks @GoblinDaughter for the title

It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

@4Minions2CallMyOwn I think this was the place a previous poster recommend for jellycat

@PinkPanther27, thank you for the Lloyds tip, the blanket is oos but I've nabbed a hot water bottle for me! Brew

nicky2512 · 01/12/2020 21:57

Help!! I thought I was finished but my mum now needs a Christmas present for a new baby boy. She doesn’t want sensible like clothes. She wants a toy/something cuddly. She thought a dinosaur might be nice. I looked on build a bear but none of them are calling out to me! Budget round £25.

Chunkychipsohyeah · 01/12/2020 22:03

@Threeoleary my Rocket and Rose order from 2 Oct arrived on Saturday, a week after being dispatched. I’d forgotten until seeing the invoice that I’d paid £3.95 for delivery! The quality of the T-shirt does however seem nice but I’m not sure I’d order again. Did you ever get a dispatch email?

Carrie76 · 01/12/2020 22:04

@Notlongnow1 @sorryiasked thanks so much for the placemat research. I’m thinking red might work. I can go red, white, red, white around the table!

IggyAce · 01/12/2020 22:05

@nicky2512 have a look at jellycat they have some really cute dragons.

nicky2512 · 01/12/2020 22:08

IggyAce of course. Thank you. I hear jelly cat so much on here but hadn’t thought of them. My youngest will be 15 on Christmas Day so I’m out of the way of cuddlies!

TheLastStarfighter · 01/12/2020 22:15

@yumyumpoppycat you’re quicker than me! I just admitted it, but warned that it might not come. To be fair, he knew we were hoping to get one, but I had said it might not be until Jan or Feb.

Whitewhite · 01/12/2020 22:22

Not sure if it’s been mentioned but apparently Debenhams are selling their stock (discounted maybe?). There is a queue to get into their online shop.

Threeoleary · 01/12/2020 22:24
@Threeoleary I received my Rocket and Rose Fiver Friday T Shirts from 2nd October yesterday and they took a week to arrive via Royal Mail.
Thank you, I'll hold off for another day or two.

JaneyJimplin · 01/12/2020 22:25

I also had the Molton brown voucher issue. I emailed the subscription people, I went to their website and followed the Contact Us link. They have said it is now activated. However, Molton brown have debited £10.45 from my account. I have emailed them but no response.

I'm really annoyed about it. I wouldn't have taken the subscription out without the voucher incentive so feel very peeved.

Yes I did, dated November 20th. Can't see it taking that long.

Fancyateapottea · 01/12/2020 22:27

Just been on the Debenhams website after queuing and couldn’t see any closing down sale or offers above what they were doing for cyber week...

Rockhopper81 · 01/12/2020 22:33

The Debenhams website was ridiculous - I went to look at the men's jumpers (for my dad) because of an email I'd had, had to queue to get in, then returned to the queue page every time I clicked on anything (only waiting a few seconds), then it randomly put me back in the queue again with an expected wait time of 14mins!

I wasn't even looking expecting there to be bargains due to today's events, I just wanted to look at the jumpers! I'll look elsewhere instead, can't be doing with that again...

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 01/12/2020 22:48

Thank you for the jellycat sites! So cute!!! Smile

PinkPanther27 · 01/12/2020 22:49

@TheSilentStars no problem. I bouy 2 of them - one for me and one as a gift 🙂

PinkPanther27 · 01/12/2020 22:50

*bought

Thistles24 · 01/12/2020 23:00

For the person looking for a keepsake present for their 1 year old, I got each of our DC a nativity set for their 1st Christmas. They love bringing them out each year, and hopefully will continue to once they have their own homes too!

TheCrow · 01/12/2020 23:14

Starting to despair now, does anyone know where I can find last season's football shirts? eBay are bringing them up but they're either ridiculously overpriced or the sponsor has washed off the front which makes me think there's a lot of fakes going around. Is there a reputable website I don't know about?

thelegohooverer · 01/12/2020 23:30

For RoI mumsnetters, Mr Price had various Funko Pop characters for €5.99.

1stMrsF · 01/12/2020 23:41

So my sister wants an apron. Specifically asked for Cath Kidston as they have a design where the tapes that go around your waist extend through a sleeve in sides of the apron to create the neck loop and when you tie behind your back you also adjust the length of the apron IYSWIM. I bought what I thought she wanted but either I selected the wrong thing or it was labelled wrongly on website and what arrived is the correct design according to my order and the despatch notice but is nothing she'd like (flowery and she's not at all girly).

Nothing I like on the website currently (what I thought I ordered long sold out) and I can't find any other sellers. Any ideas please either for where to buy CK or has anyone seen another apron that adjusts like that? TIA

Theonlyoneiknow · 01/12/2020 23:52

Thanks all for the Barbie clothes suggestions! I am in HB quite frequently :-) so will definitely have a closer look in there next time, and suss out the Amazon ones. Many Thanks all, much appreciated :-)

Fred56 · 02/12/2020 00:10

Would love it if anyone could help with ideas for baby boy present he'll be 2 months old on Christmas Day stumped for ideas. The mum is into horses and dogs and the dad is into racing cars. We bought handmade car harem pants for the birth. Budget around £15/£20

SparklingLime · 02/12/2020 00:49

Can I ask about bargain silk pillowcases?
