It’s nearly December, Father Christmas is busy putting the final touches to his toys on the workshop and we are busy elves preparing for a somewhat different Christmas this year.

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

@scrappydappydoo how about:
nice chocolates or biscuits.
Nuxe lip balm
I’ve always wanted some cashmere socks, but always need other stuff more come Christmas/birthday.

purplepandas · 29/11/2020 12:26

Almost done here. Still got to get something for my Mum and also DH (who is impossible to buy for and had a very recent birthday). He is the man that needs nothing.

He has a camera he loves, any ideas beyond that?

IggyAce · 29/11/2020 12:26

Free delivery from Debenhams with code SHHJ.

IggyAce · 29/11/2020 12:27

@purplepandas what type of photography does your dh enjoy?

Scout2016 · 29/11/2020 12:38

@DillieDoily

Try Frilly Lilly. We have uniform from there, shirt, dress, cardigan and book bag. You can get shoes too I think. Don't know if you'd consider it a bargain but I think they are good value. Machine washable and great customer service too.

BeaLola · 29/11/2020 12:38

A couple of posters have mentioned Sostrene Grene - made the mistake of looking at it and loving tons of stuff then realising I live nowhere near any store hence not recognising name Confused

HollyGennero · 29/11/2020 12:39

I got a couple of codes in parcels yesterday, not much off but might be helpful to somebody.

15% off first order at Borough Box until 14/2/21 with: GREATFOOD

10% off at Denby until 31/12/20 with: THANKYOU10

Thank you to those who posted the wine and hot chocolate bombs this weekend, definitely ordering those 🥰

I’m also on the look out for an Apple Watch 6 but as they’re quite new there doesn’t seem to be any discounts at the moment.

buckeejit · 29/11/2020 12:40

@scrappydappydoo I'd go for an electric hot water bottle or rechargeable hand warmer, (you can charge them in the car), turtle doves cashmere wrist warmers, a jigsaw or board game, (Blokus is fab), or a lipstick. Or a latex pillow!

Pil asked for a list & asked for an OMG remix doll. They've bought the massive collection at £100+!

She will be delighted but we're still pinning hopes on a PS5 for ds -11. It might not come through but don't want to buy anything else in case it does 🥴. If it doesn't, Santa will be giving him cash to put towards it which will be a first here!

purplepandas · 29/11/2020 12:44

@iggyace, just a digital SLR apparently. He does love the camera! I wondered about a leather strap or it or something.

BeaLola · 29/11/2020 12:46

Seeing Denby mentioned reminded me that you can use Tesco's club card vouchers there x3 times value - you can't use with any other vouchers or offers and have to pay p&p
We used £40 vouchers for £120 of crockery Smile

Raindropsonrosesand · 29/11/2020 12:57

@purplepandas - how about a polarising filter, or even just a clear protection filter for his lens?

If you're looking for a big gift, then he would probably love a new lens - but you'd need to find out exactly which one he is covetting (there is always another lens which would make life so much easier...)

Theimpossiblegirl · 29/11/2020 13:03

@BeaLola
That's a good deal, is it through the clubcard page?

purplepandas · 29/11/2020 13:11

Thanks @Raindropsonrosesand, great ideas. As you can tell, I am utterly clueless.

Iggi999 · 29/11/2020 13:22

Thanks justyou I'll have a look when the dc are out Smile

sorryiasked · 29/11/2020 13:28

@purplepandas spare battery / memory card for the camera. Nice carry case. Photography magazine subscription if he's really enthusiastic?

Famousthehero · 29/11/2020 13:29

@scrappydappydoo

Meal delivery thing like hello fresh etc?
House plant
Reed diffuser
Upgraded appliance
Amazon echo/smart attachments
Wakeup light thing
Warm clothes/accessories
Sheepers slippers

BalaamsAss · 29/11/2020 13:30

@DillieDoily check out Margaret Skea’s Munro trilogy. They should be available on Amazon. First one is called Turn of the Tide, second one is A House Divided and third one is By Sword and Stone. They are set in 16thC Ayrshire and are brilliant. She also has 2 (maybe 3) other books - also historical fiction, based on Katherina - the wife of Martin Luther. I haven’t read them so can’t personally recommend them, but the Munro books are great.

Famousthehero · 29/11/2020 13:33

@purplepandas what does he do with the nice pics he takes? Can you get him something to display them with or print some of his favourites?

You can book photography courses if he loves the camera but is an amateur - in person ones are best imo

Your idea of the leather strap is great I think x

Famousthehero · 29/11/2020 13:34

@purplepandas ooh maybe make a few of his favourite pics into a set of coasters or something? If you use coasters...

BeaLola · 29/11/2020 13:40

Theimpossiblegirl Yes it was on the clubcard page - the bit where it advises their Reward Partners like RAC etc For 50p Clubard = £1.50 Denby voucher

Yes you cant use with Black Friday offers & had to pay P&P but for us it worked out loads cheaper

RJnomore1 · 29/11/2020 13:41

People who are looking for Christmas squishmallows, I’m just back from my local home bargains which had some. Santa, polar bear and elf ones for £5.99.

nightcap · 29/11/2020 13:41

Not a bargain and may have already been mentioned but if you're a fan of Cards Against Humanity, they've brought out a family edition that looks fun - apparently not too rude although I suppose that's in the eye of the beholder! Waterstones has it for 27.99 with free UK delivery.

sepsisandAKI · 29/11/2020 13:46

@1stMrsF do you have the code for OS maps please? I’ve had a look for the post but can’t find it! Would be good for my OH too.

pasinphoebe · 29/11/2020 13:49

@scrappydappydoo the turtle doves fingerless gloves are lovely if you like to be outdoors (esp this year!)
Posh slippers (tkmaxx?)
Plastic free solid ‘shower gel’ Lush
