Thanks to @friskybivalves for the title

I think we might actually make it to 25 threads!!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Thank you all for your help with the desert candles !

TheLastStarfighter · 23/11/2020 12:32

Marimekko Uniqlo collaboration went live this morning. Bargainous compared to non-Uniqlo Marimekko, if you like the designs. They tend to sell out very quickly.

8% cashback available through TopCashBack.
@reastie thank you - doing a belated 💃and feeling better about being such a mad sheep by making thread title.

If anyone was hoping for an aldi velvetiser and didn't get one (ahem) I in my madness got two and would be very happy to give up one for a deserving fellow threader. They don't get shipped until nov29 tho.

Also @skintsanta I know my DS would love your extra Lego space station if that is still available and you need shot of it.
@friskybivalves I'd love an Aldi velvetiser. I missed them online.

TheCrow · 23/11/2020 12:42

@EndlessWaffle that's what I thought but it still doesn't make much sense for them to not have enough stock to cover black Friday and December shoppers. I got one during prime day too for my birthday but DP loves it so I was hoping to get him his own for Christmas. It's not the end of the world if it arrives late as it's not his main present but thought I'd give people a warning if they needed one for Christmas

ILikeBiscuits · 23/11/2020 12:56

If anyone has DC learning to crochet or knit, you might consider buying a
Deramores Black Friday Bundle of yarn or two. 15 skeins for £15. Postage is free over £25.

You don’t know what will be in the bundle, and it may all be acrylic, but Deramores stuff is reasonable and fine to practice on. When I bought a Mystery Bundle earlier in the year it included a Scheepes Whirl.

The bundle was out of stock when I first saw the offer last night. I filled in the “email when available” box and got an email this morning to say it was back in stock.

The code MVC16 gets 16% off, and you can also go via Quidco.

I got 30 skeins of yarn for £25.20, plus 150 and 60 Derapoints as I’m a member (free.)

@Iwillneverbesatisfied at risk of sounding patronising, have you tried the band's own website or Facebook page? Some of the artists I like are too small for shops but do merchandise via their websites / FB etc. If you can't see any worth sending them a message to ask, they might have some left from gig stalls.
If they are a bit bigger try Etsy maybe. I had someone ask for not only a particular artist (dead) but specific album cover on specific colour tshirt and Etsy was my friend.

ILikeBiscuits · 23/11/2020 12:58

Aagh. I meant “Fine to practise with.”

LutherRalph1 · 23/11/2020 13:02

Thank you @WhereTheresAHill I told DM about this offer years ago and she asks me
To keep an eye out for when it starts every year!

ILikeBiscuits · 23/11/2020 13:07

Sorry if it’s a repeat but the email has just arrived. . Aldi Harry Potter Hogwarts Express available to preorder. £69.99.

ILikeBiscuits · 23/11/2020 13:08

Sorry again. £64.99.

Fezbomb · 23/11/2020 13:15

Looks like Smyths have the same Hogwarts Express Lego for £59.99

herecomesthsun · 23/11/2020 13:17

Aldi special buys are on line. Hogwarts Express please note is currently £5 cheaper on Amazon.

luckiestgirl · 23/11/2020 13:32

All the Oodies are saying they ship late December- does anyone know if they’re likely to restock for Black Friday?
I wonder if I can get a real one on eBay if not?

thaegumathteth · 23/11/2020 13:34

@luckiestgirl he doubt it they've been out of stock for weeks

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 23/11/2020 13:35

It might he worth checking Baker Ross for advent calendar fillers. They have lots of little party bag things.

Iwillneverbesatisfied · 23/11/2020 13:40

Oh I just remembered DD asked for an Oodie. Where can I get the best price? (I don't see the attraction either)

Bsmirched · 23/11/2020 13:42

Regarding Echo dots - we ordered a 4th gen one on Saturday and it was giving 2 -3 weeks for delivery but it's arrived today.

kingat · 23/11/2020 13:46

I still need to get some duplo, not only not many deals, but it seems there is very little choice. Even on lego site they have like 5 sets. The old sets that my son got 3 years ago are going for silly money on ebay, whats happened?

Also looking for toddler piano/keyborad. There is million to choose from, can anyone recommend one for 2year old?

My deals: erborian 3for2. I love the cc and bb creams and they have minis

If you have amex card there is 5£ cashback on 20spend at h&b and 10off 65 spent at River Island

George22 · 23/11/2020 13:54
@Puffalicious, thank you for the Smyths bundles, I'll keep it in my basket as an option it can keep the sloth (that I don't need but kind of want to go with dd's Oodie) company! But honestly, I'm so grumpy about Asda that I'm keen to get a better deal. Thrilled you got yours though, that was lucky.

@greyinganddecaying, I really appreciate that. Thank you.
I’m grumpy about Asda too after they did exactly the same to me!! 😡 I’m also on the hunt for a good deal on a Switch.

DillieDoily · 23/11/2020 14:07

@Bridecilla

I need help to beat DP in a bet!

We usually buy ds a toy advent calendar - lego star wars or playmobil in the past.

I've 'gone all Pinteresty' though and me and ds have been collecting toilet roll tubes. We've spraypainted them gold and we'll staple them together in the shape of a Christmas tree (I know, I know)

But - dp said this morning he thinks ds would have preferred the lego Harry Potter one (I asked ds before I went all Christmas Twatelf about it and he LOVED the toilet roll tubes idea, honest!)

Well... I need to beat dp but, erm... didn't think ahead about what to put in it 🙈

I'm on isolation so can't leg it to the pound shop, what can I get that won't cost more than the £25 thing he wants to buy!?

Ds is 8. Into footy, minecraft etc

In the advent calendar I'm making for my 9 year old DS I'm putting in Super Zings/Things blind bags (DS is obsessed with them and they're only 80p in supermarkets), fake lego mini figures from Ali Express (too late to order from China now but ebay might have some uk sellers), chocolate, stationery, cheap finger lights (for lighting up lego sets) and a couple of Lego Harry Potter mini figure blind bags on the 23rd and 24th december
Lellyo · 23/11/2020 14:08

@buckeejit

Also randomly please if anyone knows any discount, variety packs or weird flavours of pot noodle, that would be fab!
@buckeejit I’ve just bought 7 pot noodles in a tube from B & M this morning they were £5. Flavours are the usual suspects but did notice there was a Thai one in there and a hot one? .... I’ve squirrelled it away or I’d double check for you .
XmasLockdown · 23/11/2020 14:10

@kingat I need Duplo as well. There is two sets and I need to get one for sn. I keep eye on Lego shop, Smyths, Amazon and John Lewis. If I have luck one them will reduce one of the sets.

CupoTeap · 23/11/2020 14:10

@Iwillneverbesatisfied

Oh I just remembered DD asked for an Oodie. Where can I get the best price? (I don't see the attraction either)
I think real ones are sold out till after Xmas now
caffeineanddryshampoo · 23/11/2020 14:15

@daisychops yes it's tracked at the wrong amount, similar happened when I placed an order for matalan with 50% cashback but that did later track at the right amount.
