Thanks to @friskybivalves for the title

I think we might actually make it to 25 threads!!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Has anyone bought a neon wall art? They seem very expensive so want to see if anyone loves theirs!

Ewock · 22/11/2020 22:40
@thaegumathteth I got a relative in similar circumstances the jam advent calendar mentioned on another thread. She's thrilled with it. She does have toast most days so figured it makes it a bit more interesting having a suprise what jam it is that day. I know I get bored thinking about meals.
Can I ask where you got the jam advent calendar? Sounds fab for my mil.

Birdladybird · 22/11/2020 22:45

@dizzygirl1 the works?

BalaamsAss · 22/11/2020 22:47

Thanks for the new thread @Reastie

I’m just waiting on a mini fridge, (know which one I want - waiting to see if the price comes down more this week, otherwise will buy it at current price), two £20-ish presents - one each for my DTs, and then a birthday present for 13 year old DNephew whose birthday is on 27th Dec

Iggi999 · 22/11/2020 22:50

Just saw this in my mumsnet sidebar - surely a present for someone you don't like very much!

gaggiagirl · 22/11/2020 22:52

I hope you can help me.
Im searching for a type of candle. They look like puddings in a bowl or like trifles in a glass. I don't know what to search for.
I've found an American site www.candlesbyvictoria.com but I don't know what they would be called in the UK. My mother in law would love one.
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

OneNightTimeMenaceStrikesBack · 22/11/2020 22:56

Ive got exactyl four presents, two stocking fillers and two chocolate oranges left to buy!!! I know i shouldnt keep looking here for bargains BUT you never know if something amazing that just HAS to be bought will come up haha

Gardenworm · 22/11/2020 22:57

@gaggiagirl Google food candles or realistic food candles.

BeaLola · 22/11/2020 23:01

I want it- what is it?
Sunshineskies · 22/11/2020 23:12

Thanks for thread reastie.
And thanks to the people who’ve given me more ideas on where to look for roller blades. Unfortunately I STILL haven’t been able to find any. Everywhere is sold out of size 5 apart from the adjustable ones which pp advised weren’t very good (sorry can’t remember your user name but thank you for that advice). Facebook marketplace doesn’t have any either (I had no idea that Facebook marketplace even existed so thank you for that tip, might not have worked this time but I’m sure I’ll use it again).
In the meantime, if anyone does spot any rollerblades in an adult size 5 (which aren’t adjustable) I’d be so grateful if you could let me know. So far I’ve tried: sports direct, eBay store sports direct, decathlon, Facebook marketplace, skate hut and a couple of small independent skate shops.

Puffalicious · 22/11/2020 23:13

Coffeeandennui That's so rotten your Asda order got cancelled- I must have got lucky. This bundle? Switch

Delahot · 22/11/2020 23:20

Anyone seen any nice Christmas door mats? X

TheCrow · 22/11/2020 23:38

Echo dot is currently showing as not being dispatched until after Christmas on Amazon, just a heads-up as I know people were going to order them for Christmas presents, definitely look at the predicted arrival date first! Or do they get extra stock in over black Friday? I can't understand why one of their best sellers would be out of stock before December!

Iggi999 · 22/11/2020 23:39

Usernamerebooted - it's disappeared now! But I just googled "felt cat scarf" and there's one on Etsy £135!

Try "layered dessert candle"
torthecatlady · 23/11/2020 00:19

Omg Iggy that is definitely an acquired taste Grin

Graphista · 23/11/2020 00:19

Thanks @Reastie

I'd really appreciate help/advice on supermarket delivery slots. I've been able to book up to and including Christmas week but I'm housebound and dependent on deliveries and I'm struggling to find/get a slot as yet for the following week if anyone can advise I'd be very grateful

@thaegumathteth I have similar difficulties I've gone for boring but appreciated pjs slippers etc my mums pretty good on tech herself and so is way ahead of me on getting smart speakers etc which she does use and has set up for dad for certain things too (though he's also deaf as well as legally blind now so he is really hard to sort!)

@DillieDoily Any of these any good?

I'm possibly vainly hoping for a Black Friday deals on iPad and AirPods? Doesn't have to be latest models but do need to have some longevity

@gaggiagirl This kinda thing?

www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Christmas-Decoration-Set-of-2-Christmas-Pudding-Candles-NEW-/122693156699

Try using "Christmas pudding SHAPED candles" ?

@TheCrow That is surprisingly stupid of them! Re dot and amazon hopefully a daft error on the site

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 23/11/2020 00:29
**@purplepandas* I know you've already had suggestions but my mum got my DD a huge (and I do mean huge*!) cuddly sloth in our local Aldi a few weeks ago. Might be worth looking there. I can't remember how much she said it was but I remember thinking it was a great price given the size of it!
I bought one of these online - it was only £12.99!!! Now they're on eBay for £45! 😱

Imsayingnothing · 23/11/2020 00:31

@Sunshineskies sorry if this is too much price wise but did find these www.skates.co.uk/roller-derby-aerio-q-60-inline-skates-white-purple.html

JingleCatJingle · 23/11/2020 00:50

Anyone looking for a good deal on apple things try apple refurbished www.apple.com/uk/shop/refurbished
Same quality as new with an excellent guarantee and usually a hefty discount.
Stock comes and gos so worth checking every couple of days.

CoffeeAndEnnui · 23/11/2020 01:00

@Puffalicious, thank you for the Smyths bundles, I'll keep it in my basket as an option it can keep the sloth (that I don't need but kind of want to go with dd's Oodie) company! But honestly, I'm so grumpy about Asda that I'm keen to get a better deal. Thrilled you got yours though, that was lucky.

@greyinganddecaying, I really appreciate that. Thank you.
