Thanks to @friskybivalves for the title

I think we might actually make it to 25 threads!!

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

This week there's 25% off everything at Playmobil at their own website no code needed.

SkintSanta · 23/11/2020 10:21

@friskybivalves that would be great! It’s not shipped yet, but can send it on when I have it. Shall pm you and arrange.

Yeknom · 23/11/2020 10:25

@SparklingDinosaurs do you know what 'level' member you are? Mine said it was valid for those on member plus, it might be that you haven't accrued enough point yet :(. There isn't a code but once you go to check out there should be a box you can click for 'my offers' then you tick it and it gets added on. Good luck :)

Also big thank you for the tie dye kit! Perfect x

@Sunshineskies

Thanks for thread reastie. And thanks to the people who’ve given me more ideas on where to look for roller blades. Unfortunately I STILL haven’t been able to find any. Everywhere is sold out of size 5 apart from the adjustable ones which pp advised weren’t very good (sorry can’t remember your user name but thank you for that advice). Facebook marketplace doesn’t have any either (I had no idea that Facebook marketplace even existed so thank you for that tip, might not have worked this time but I’m sure I’ll use it again). In the meantime, if anyone does spot any rollerblades in an adult size 5 (which aren’t adjustable) I’d be so grateful if you could let me know. So far I’ve tried: sports direct, eBay store sports direct, decathlon, Facebook marketplace, skate hut and a couple of small independent skate shops.
Proline skates keep popping up on my Facebook, maybe try there, although I can’t vouch for them Someone recommended Roces skates to me so I’ve picked up a pair of new but seconds on eBay. The ones I’ve got are adjustable but dd is only 11 so her feet are likely to grow.
Rubyroo73 · 23/11/2020 10:28

@Lovemusic33 thanks for the tie-dye deal - perfect for my dd’s birthday in Jan!

Scout2016 · 23/11/2020 10:35

@PetuniaPansy Winsor and Newton are one of the best makes, great pigmentation and colour range. The Range sell sets of their pans or half pans (the little hard lumps) which are the same as you would get in an art shop but cheaper. I have also used Cass Art.

Ness1234 · 23/11/2020 10:36

Just bought some of these cards on Etsy, they look so cute....

Scout2016 · 23/11/2020 10:41

@PetuniaPansy annoyingly it looks to be out of stock but this is the sort of thing. If you can find it in store it's a bargain. I use the cotman range and like them. She will need proper paper too, ideally cotton rather than wood based. There's different types of that too - hot pressed and cold pressed, one is a bit sort of dimpled so the colours pool slightly. The other is flat and soaks it all up which can be good or bad depending.

Joseph Joseph have some Black Friday deals this week which are good savings, just price compare with the Lakeland offers though as they are similar savings.

SparklingDinosaurs · 23/11/2020 10:44

@Yeknom that will be it. I was reset not long ago so don’t have many points now arrgg. Oh well.

TheDrsDocMartens · 23/11/2020 10:44

I pretty much missed the last thread 😲

Iwillneverbesatisfied · 23/11/2020 10:45

I have no idea what to get my parents, especially with regular lockdowns preventing us from going shopping / spending vouchers / eating out.

I'd like to get DD(12) some band tshirts as she is into those at the moment although she doesn't know who the bands are! Lots of the tshirts I can see are all punk, rock and very much the same bands everywhere I look. Are there any shops with more variety?

I'd also like to get her some starter makeup. She's nearly 13. I don't want to go overboard or expensive or for her to be wearing too much. she's just starting to get a bit interested in her looks (stealing my lipstick and perfume but denying she did so!) any good ideas?

No idea what to get DH who likes cars, james bond, driving tours and photography.

Also my two friends. One has had a really shitty year with getting covid, having a bereavement, having her dad get terminal cancer and she had a MC. So I want to do something nice to show I care.

Another is a male, a good colleague who has helped me a lot, who is working from home so I won't see him, I don't actually know where he lives and the nature of our work means we are not allowed to give each other vouchers or cash. I got him a wee desk sign last year but how do I get him anything this year if I can't post anything?

prominent5 · 23/11/2020 10:48

I've just been to home bargains (NE Scotland) and they had some Christmas squishmallows. Didn't pay too much attention as was in queue so not sure if they are the same as the Aldi ones but there was a Santa one.

Aldi also had a whole shelf of the hot chocolate melting snowmen so I assume all stores will be getting some more.

Bridecilla · 23/11/2020 10:53

I need help to beat DP in a bet!

We usually buy ds a toy advent calendar - lego star wars or playmobil in the past.

I've 'gone all Pinteresty' though and me and ds have been collecting toilet roll tubes. We've spraypainted them gold and we'll staple them together in the shape of a Christmas tree (I know, I know)

But - dp said this morning he thinks ds would have preferred the lego Harry Potter one (I asked ds before I went all Christmas Twatelf about it and he LOVED the toilet roll tubes idea, honest!)

Well... I need to beat dp but, erm... didn't think ahead about what to put in it 🙈

I'm on isolation so can't leg it to the pound shop, what can I get that won't cost more than the £25 thing he wants to buy!?

Ds is 8. Into footy, minecraft etc

FrolickingLemon · 23/11/2020 10:57

Hi everyone. I gave away my Lakeland codes and now want a £40 Lakeland bowl. Does anyone have one I could use please.

Just been to my local Aldi and they had loads of hot chocolate snowmen (I'm in NE England) If anyone still can't get one, let me know and I'll try and grab some on way to school this afternoon.

FrolickingLemon · 23/11/2020 10:58

Kitchenaid bowl that should be.

EnglishRose1320 · 23/11/2020 11:04

@Bridecilla I would think to keep it below that price and make sure its decent you could buy a multi pack of his favourite chocolate/sweets and alternate every other day with a gift and chocolate. Gift wise I would suggest looking for lego minecraft figures, stationary, football stickers.

Do you have any other christmas shopping you need because it's the postage that's going to make it the hardest, maybe see if you can add small bits on to other orders?

Bridecilla · 23/11/2020 11:08

@englishrose1320 I've still got loads of shopping to do Grin

I'm also not adverse to fibbing that it cost under 25 quid to win!

DillieDoily · 23/11/2020 11:08

@Graphista thanks for looking for dressing gowns for me!

Ideally I'm looking for a dressing gown with cuffs like you would get on a sweatshirt/hoodie as I'm fed up with my arms getting cold with the usual wide arm style. I don't know if such a thing exists though!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 23/11/2020 11:10

Buckley London jewellery are doing a Black Friday deal every day - today's is a 'Best of British' theme with Royal jewellery dupes and London charm bracelets - here

B&M had squishmallows in when I visited this morning.

Robert Dyas have some Christmas trees reduced here and quite a lot of reductions in store - not so many on their website unfortunately.

@0ttoline those fabric toys are beautiful!! I've just been to Poundland and stocked up on things for the elf to bring (cheesy but my DC are really looking forward to it after this year!), hoping the budget will stretch to some of these too Grin

Sarahclacko · 23/11/2020 11:12

@FrolickingLemon have pm’d you some Lakeland codes

Sarahclacko · 23/11/2020 11:15

If anyone’s looking for a men’s hooded dressing gown Morrison’s have a nice dark grey fleece one for £20

bettyskitchen · 23/11/2020 11:15

@FrolickingLemon not sure which bowl you're looking at but I have the hammered bowl which is currently £40 and I love it!

hungryisabelle · 23/11/2020 11:15
